Vincent's POV
When one has the power of money and connections, very little is truly impossible. It did not take long for me to trace the vehicle that had helped her escape from my villa. After that, everything moved quickly. I finally caught up with her at a train station, just as she was preparing to disappear from my life entirely.
She was ready to leave me behind. Ready to run. But now she was not only my Luna. She was carrying my child. She could not simply walk away from that reality, no matter how much she wanted to.
It took more than a few threats before she finally agreed to come back with me. And the moment we arrived at the villa, she went straight to her room and locked herself inside, shutting me out completely.
I knew I was acting like an asshole. I kept my distance because I feared attachment. As much as I could not let her go, her presence stirred memories I had buried long ago. Wounds that had never truly healed.
