Chapter 88 - You cannot just do whatever you want when you are strong

At this moment, combined with the brutal scene around him, he was the very image of a ruthless demon from a story who killed without batting an eye.

Yet, because his features were so stunning, he exuded a faint, alluring aura that seemed almost inhuman.

Never mind the ordinary girls and female adventurers of Orario; even among the goddesses in the Denatus hall, quite a few were left staring blankly.

There was one thing, however, that these gods had judged wrongly.

Levi was not bloodthirsty, nor did he have strong violent tendencies.

The reason he had crippled the five members of the Freya Familia's team instead of killing them outright was actually quite simple—after the War Game, the Freya Familia would have to pay for their treatment.

He had priced the high-grade Regeneration Wine at 100 million Valis.

But if sold to the Freya Familia, the price would be doubled.

For the sparkling wine with special effects, members of the Freya Familia would have to spend even more money to purchase it!

The elven archer, whose hands were gone, lay on the ground, glaring resentfully at the youth before her, who was more detestable than any monster.

"Aren't you afraid of retaliation from the Freya Familia?!"

Hearing her question, the smile on Levi's face only deepened.

"You seem to have one thing wrong." He crouched down. "You were the ones who came looking for trouble with me."

"Because you're backed by the 'Champion,' because you have several Lv.6s in your Familia, you act without fear, thinking the whole world should bow to you."

"But when you run into someone you can't beat, or someone who dares to be ruthless, you immediately put on a fierce front while being weak inside, crying out for revenge."

Freya Familia, you can't just do as you please only when you're the strong ones.

The elven archer gritted her teeth.

She wanted to retort, but due to certain racial principles, she couldn't call black white.

And Heith, who was more eloquent, did try to speak, but her mouth was still frozen, so she could only make muffled cries.

Levi stood up. "To the executives of the Freya Familia, I know you're watching."

"Five cripples, five bottles of high-grade Regeneration Wine, 1 billion Valis, delivered to the entrance of the Hestia Familia's home base before noon tomorrow."

"As for the other sparkling wines I plan to sell, from now on, the price will be permanently doubled for you."

"Furthermore, for every time you provoke the Hestia Familia from now on, the price will double again."

"As for the people, don't worry, I won't kill them. After all..." He paused slightly. "You're not that valuable yet."

"I'm going to kill him!" the cat-person Allen roared. If Hogni hadn't held him back, he might have already charged out of the city.

The expressions on the others' faces weren't much better.

What Levi had said in front of all of Orario was tantamount to grinding the entire Freya Familia's face into the dirt.

The eldest of the four brothers looked at their vice-captain: "Does Lady Freya really want to take in a bastard like that?"

Hedin pushed up his glasses. Those who knew him could see that he was angry.

But as the only strategist among the executives, he had to remain calm.

He didn't fly into a rage like Allen: "This is Lady Freya's wish."

"If this is the kind of person the goddess has been searching for..." Allen spat on the ground.

Then he was knocked to the ground by Ottar. "The goddess's affairs are not for you to question."

"...I understand." The cat-person Allen let out a heavy breath.

He was one of the few in the Freya Familia who wasn't lovesick. Though he adored the goddess, his affection was mixed with a great deal of respect and gratitude.

Rather like Ottar.

After punching Allen, Ottar suddenly started walking out of the base.

Seeing this, Hedin grew uneasy. "Wait, where are you going?"

Ottar replied calmly as he walked, "Lady Freya gave a mission. If Heith and the others failed, then I am to bring Levi Bright back."

"..."

Hearing this, everyone instantly fell silent.

They hadn't expected their beloved goddess to be so obsessed with a member of Hestia's Familia.

Levi, of course, couldn't know that after the War Game, he would have to solo the 'Champion'.

After dealing with the five reinforcements from the Apollo Familia, he activated 'Mana Burst: En' to its fullest extent.

He searched for Hyakinthos, who was trying to create distance between them.

And somewhat unexpectedly.

Levi found neither the Apollo Familia's captain nor their flag, which would decide the final outcome of the War Game.

But for Hyakinthos to be judged as having lost his combat ability...

That was clearly impossible.

He would only be judged as such if he left the field's boundaries.

In other words, the opponent was still within the plain, having simply used some method to hide himself and the flag he needed to protect.

Inside the Denatus hall.

Watching her lover fall into thought on the divine mirror, Hestia finally couldn't hold back. She stood up, looking furiously at a certain 'absolutely neutral' god. "Hermes, this is the second time!"

There were only a handful of adventurers in the lower world with the 'Mystery' Development Ability, and those in Orario could be counted on one hand.

The one most skilled at crafting magic items was, without a doubt, Asfi Al Andromeda, also known as the 'All-Rounder'.

At the same time, she was also the captain of the Hermes Familia.

"Wait, Hestia, you've really wronged me this time!"

Hermes raised his hands in a gesture of surrender. His relationship with Apollo in Tenkai was indeed good, but when the War Game was decided, he already knew Levi was Hestia's absolute taboo, so how could he possibly let Asfi get involved in this mess.

"Besides, the invisibility cloak and helmet Hyakinthos is using, if I'm not mistaken, seem, perhaps, maybe... okay, they were probably made by Asfi."

For a moment, Hermes didn't know how to explain.

Gods, for the most part, disdained lying.

Hestia, of course, understood this. "So, Hermes, your child acted on her own without your permission, is that it?"

Hermes nodded silently.

"I see." Hestia crossed her arms, her tone icy. "Something Levi said before was quite right. Hermes, I hope your child never faces a crisis she can't solve in the future, and certainly never suffers a lost arm or leg. Otherwise, hmph hmph~"

She didn't finish her sentence.

But which of the gods present couldn't understand the subtext?

—The Freya Familia's today is the Hermes Familia's future!

"Hey, hey, hey, you don't have to be so ruthless, do you?"

Hermes pulled down the brim of his hat, his tone resigned.

Internally, however, he resolved to go back and find out which genius in his Familia had come up with this bright idea.
