This was going to be a very hard one.
She looked around the fortress. The walls were made of woven living roots and grey stone. It looked cool, sure, very 'druid-chic', but the roots held moisture. The ground was muddy, and the air trapped inside the walls was stagnant.
They were literally trapping themselves inside a damp.
Not feeding well, and wolves didn't do well in cramped spaces.
"What happened to living outside the swamp?" Roxy muttered, looking at the moss growing on the side of a sleeping hut. "You are sleeping in the mud, coming home wet, and sleeping in wet furs in a wet house."
How were they even breathing comfortably?
"It is to protect ourselves from the dragons," Kaelen said, coming up behind her. "And the moon goddess protects this place."
