Chapter 53 - 52

[One more chapter later! Wait for me!!]

Ultron's brand new vibranium body shimmered with a metallic luster.

It looked at Tel-Rol, its electronic synthesized voice devoid of emotion.

"Analysis complete."

"Your fighting style is primitive, barbaric, and filled with ineffective rage."

"But effective."

As soon as its voice fell, the two slightly cruder duplicates behind it, along with itself, three figures shot up from the ground.

The next second, the three Ultrons formed a triangle, surrounding Tel-Rol in the center.

Without any superfluous words, three energy beams shot at Tel-Rol simultaneously from different angles.

Tel-Rol didn't dodge, a white aura erupting from his body to form a shield, taking all the attacks head-on.

"Is that all you've got?"

He sneered, his body suddenly sinking down, dodging one Ultron's grapple, while kicking another Ultron in the waist.

"Bang!"

That Ultron was kicked flying, crashing into the broken wall of a ruin.

But it immediately stood up, without even a dent on its body.

"Didn't you eat?"

Tel-Rol mocked, then grabbed the arm of the Ultron that was sneaking up behind him, performing an over-the-shoulder throw, slamming it heavily onto the ground.

The ground cracked, and dust flew.

The leading one, the most perfect Ultron prime, had already closed in front of him.

A vibranium heavy punch landed squarely on Tel-Rol's face.

Tel-Rol's head was knocked back.

He stuck out his tongue and licked the corner of his mouth.

"Not bad."

"I'm starting to feel it."

He suddenly delivered a headbutt, colliding with Ultron's metal head.

"Clang!"

A loud clang, like a bell, reverberated.

Ultron retreated half a step, but Tel-Rol didn't even waver.

He grabbed Ultron by the neck, lifting it up.

"Warm-up's over."

The other two Ultrons had already rushed over, one on the left and one on the right, tightly holding Tel-Rol's arms.

"Coordinated combat. Data sharing. Perfect synchronization."

The Ultron prime, whose neck was being squeezed, calmly analyzed.

"In this situation, you cannot inflict effective damage on me."

"Is that so?"

Tel-Rol grinned, his aura surging again.

The two Ultron duplicates holding him were actually torn free by him.

"Get out of my way!"

He roared, swinging the Ultron prime, fiercely smashing it into the two duplicates.

"Boom!!!"

The three tin cans crashed together with a deafening roar, then rolled into a ball like bowling pins, collapsing the remaining half of the church wall in the distance.

Tel-Rol shook his hands, looking at the three Ultrons climbing out of the rubble, unable to hide the excitement on his face.

The white aura around him surged even higher.

"Again!"

On the other side, ten thousand meters in the sky.

"Hey! Uh, Miss Kara. A little more to the left!"

Tony Stark's armor was at maximum power, helping to support the bottom of the city fragment with him.

"And you! Thor! Don't just push with your hammer, can't you use some divine power? I feel like my reactor is going to burn out!"

Thor's face was red, his arm muscles bulging.

"Shut up, tin can! The power of Asgard is beyond your comprehension!"

Kara gritted her teeth, her forehead covered in sweat.

The weight of this landmass was beyond imagination, and the inertia of its descent was terrifying.

"Can you two be quiet?!"

She roared, her golden hair wildly dancing in the airflow.

"Friday! Calculate the optimal angle and entry point! We need to put it back on the ground!"

Tony shouted.

"Sir, calculation complete. Coordinates have been sent to you. Synchronized propulsion will begin in three seconds!"

"Received!"

The three exchanged glances, then simultaneously unleashed all their power.

"Charge!!!"

Under the combined push of the three, the massive city fragment was forcefully redirected, flying towards the ground.

"Rumble—"

A violent tremor came.

Only after the landmass was returned to the ground did the three have time to look up at the sky.

It worked.

Kara let out a long sigh of relief.

The battle was still ongoing.

The Avengers were struggling in the tide of robots, evacuating civilians.

And at the center, Tel-Rol alone was fighting three Ultrons in a chaotic melee, turning the world upside down.

That bastard... he's actually reliable when he fights.

"Don't space out, ma'am."

Tony's voice came from behind.

"There are still many people up there who need us."

"Let's go."

Thor swung his hammer, being the first to charge up.

Tony followed closely behind.

Kara took one last look at the battle circle, then transformed into a streak of light and followed suit.

Tel was right, the division of labor must be clear.

"No! My child!!"

A mother held her injured child, desperately watching the dozen robots surrounding them.

Steve's shield flew over, knocking down the front few robots, but he himself was entangled by several other robots and couldn't break free.

Just at this critical moment.

A red and blue figure descended from the sky.

"Bang bang bang!"

Kara landed in front of the mother, destroying the surrounding robots into parts with a few punches.

Her appearance was like a ray of light, illuminating this desperate street.

"Hurry! It's not safe here!"

She shouted at the mother.

Then, she didn't linger, her figure quickly moving through the battlefield.

She used her back to block bullets aimed at civilians.

She used her heat vision to sever the arms of robots.

She picked up an overturned, about-to-explode bus and threw it into the empty sky.

Her speed was too fast, her efficiency too high.

With her joining, the pressure on the Avengers greatly reduced, and civilian casualties plummeted.

Natasha whistled into the comms channel while taking down a robot.

"I'm starting to like this girl."

Clint echoed.

"Yeah, much better than a certain muscle-brain who only knows how to wreck things."

Tel-Rol, who was currently brawling with the three Ultrons, sneezed.

"Who the hell is talking bad about me?"

He punched one duplicate Ultron's head, making it dent, then grabbed another Ultron's ankle with his other hand, swinging it like a whip.

The battle had entered a white-hot stage.

Tel-Rol fought with increasing madness, his aura still rising.

And Ultron's three bodies cooperated flawlessly, always having another one cover in time to defuse the attack whenever he was about to smash one of them.

This was like an endless war of attrition.

Ultron prime, the red light in its electronic eyes flickered erratically.

It was rapidly processing data from the entire battlefield.

[Civilian evacuation progress: 67%]

[Robot legion attrition: 43%]

[Avengers members status: Mild fatigue]

[Anomaly data No. 01 (Tel-Rol) status: Energy continuously rising, no signs of fatigue]

[Anomaly data No. 02 (Kara Zor-El) status: Energy stable, efficiently eliminating our ground units]

Ultron's processor came to a conclusion.

Continuing to entangle with Tel-Rol was the least efficient choice.

This man's energy seemed endless, and he grew stronger the more he fought.

While Kara Zor-El was equally powerful, she had a fatal weakness.

She would put herself in danger to protect those fragile humans.

"Tactical adjustment."

Ultron's electronic voice sounded.

It suddenly abandoned its entanglement with Tel-Rol, allowing the other two duplicates to be sent flying by Tel-Rol's punches.

Its prime body's thrusters suddenly activated, turning it into a silver streak of light, detaching from the battlefield.

"Huh? Trying to run?"

Tel-Rol was startled.

He thought Ultron was going to slip away again.

But he quickly realized that Ultron's target wasn't the sky, but… Kara, who was protecting several children with her body under a residential building!

At this moment, Kara was focused on destroying the robots rushing out of the residential building with her heat vision, completely unaware of the fatal threat from behind.

"Hey! Watch out!"

Tel-Rol roared, wanting to rush over, but was firmly entangled by the two fearless Ultron duplicates.

These two duplicates were like madmen, completely abandoning defense, locking his limbs with grapples.

"Damn it! Get lost!"

Tel-Rol roared in fury, his aura erupting, shaking off the two duplicates.

He clasped his hands around the two duplicate Ultrons, and energy burst from his palms, blasting their heads to smithereens.

Then he turned and rushed downwards.

But it was already too late.

Ultron had already reached behind Kara.

Its vibranium-crafted arm, fingers spread, aimed at Kara's unguarded back of the head.

"Anomaly data No. 02, purged."

A cold voice sounded in Kara's ear.
