Chapter 29 - 29

New York, Manhattan.

On the bustling streets, people stopped in their tracks, looking up at the sky.

The dark warship, suspended like a mountain in mid-air, cast a huge shadow over the entire city, resembling an inverted metal mountain range.

Panic began to spread like a virus.

"What is that?"

"Are the aliens here again?!"

"Run!"

Screams, cries, and car horns intertwined into a symphony of doomsday.

Just then, the warship's bottom hatch opened.

A figure leaped out, crashing heavily into the center of Times Square.

"Boom—!"

The shockwave sent surrounding cars flying, the hard asphalt instantly cracked, and a huge crater appeared in the dust.

A man in a dark blue high-tech combat suit, holding a massive warhammer, slowly rose from the crater.

His skin was blue, shimmering with a metallic luster, and his eyes were cold and arrogant, surveying the ants before him.

It was Tathos, one of the Kree Empire's most elite warriors, a Centurion of the Accuser Corps.

He looked around, watching the Earthlings scatter and flee in disarray, his eyes filled with undisguised contempt.

"What a low and fragile race."

He raised the futuristic warhammer in his hand, aiming it at a nearby skyscraper.

"Carol Danvers!"

His voice, amplified by his armor's speaker, echoed throughout Manhattan.

"I know you're on this planet! Come out now!"

"Otherwise, I will destroy one of your buildings every ten seconds until I force you, the traitor, out of your rat hole!"

As soon as he finished speaking, blue energy arcs began to gather wildly on the warhammer in his hand, about to unleash a destructive blow.

Suddenly, a dazzling red-gold stream of light streaked across the sky, speeding at supersonic velocity, and hovered in mid-air.

"Hey! Smurf!"

A clear, somewhat cynical voice rang out.

"Demolishing property on someone else's turf? Did you ask the owner first?"

Iron Man, Tony Stark, in his latest Mark 43 armor, gleamed in the sunlight.

Tathos looked up at Iron Man flying in the sky, frowning: "A flying tin toy? Get lost, or I'll smash you too!"

"Oh, big talk," Tony's mouth under the faceplate curved into a smirk.

"I love dealing with guys like you whose brains are all muscle.

By the way, with that outfit and your skin color, I thought you were a fitness coach hired by some planet's Avatar.

So outdated, buddy."

He raised his hand, and the repulsor ray in his palm charged, glowing brightly.

Just as the two were confronting each other, a red, white, and blue blur whistled from the street corner, heading straight for the back of Tathos's head!

However, Tathos didn't even turn his head; a light blue hexagonal energy shield instantly expanded around his body.

"Buzz!"

The vibranium shield slammed into the shield with a dull thud, and was directly bounced away by the immense counter-shock force!

"An Earth toy?" Tathos didn't even bother to turn around, his tone filled with the contempt of a higher civilization for a lower one.

The shield arced through the air, returning steadily to its owner's hand.

Captain America, Steve Rogers, stood there, shield in hand, his face stern.

"Sir, on Earth, we don't appreciate people speaking in that manner."

Before he finished speaking, the sky changed dramatically!

Dark clouds gathered out of nowhere, and a violent lightning bolt as thick as a bucket tore through the clouds, descending from the sky with world-destroying power, striking Tathos's head!

"Crackle—Boom!!"

The furious thunder instantly engulfed him, blinding electric light frantically danced on him, electrifying the ground beneath his feet into a charred, glazed surface!

However, as the electric light dissipated, Tathos still stood in place.

His combat suit flickered with strange energy flows; though somewhat scorched, the main body was intact.

He even twisted his neck, making a "crunch" sound, and exhaled a puff of white air with electric sparks.

"An Asgardian god?" He looked up at Thor, who was slowly descending, a cruel smile spreading across his lips.

"Decent energy intensity, but unfortunately... my combat suit is designed to absorb and deflect high-intensity energy impacts. That hit of yours actually helped me recharge a bit."

Thor, holding Mjolnir, landed on the ground, his face showing unprecedented solemnity. The opponent had withstood a divine lightning strike, yet seemed only as if splashed with a cup of hot water.

"A bunch of suicidal bugs!" Tathos's fighting spirit was completely ignited, "Since you're so eager to die, I'll grant your wish!"

He roared, his legs slightly bent, and he charged actively towards Thor, the closest to him, swinging his warhammer!

"For Asgard!" Thor was not to be outdone, channeling his divine power and raising his hammer to meet him!

The warhammer and Mjolnir collided fiercely!

"Clang—!!!"

The massive metallic impact sound transformed into a visible shockwave, shattering all glass within a hundred-meter radius!

Thor's tiger's mouth split, and he was violently forced back several steps.

Tathos pressed his advantage, and the energy on his warhammer erupted a second time, a violent energy wave sweeping out!

"Tony, watch out!" Steve shouted, holding the vibranium shield firmly in front of him.

Tony in mid-air reacted instantly, crossing his arms, and his armor's power went full to form a shield.

However, the energy wave hit him head-on, his armor's shield flickered violently, and he was uncontrollably sent flying backward, crashing hard into the wall of a nearby building, unable to break free for a long time.

On the ground, Steve braced with his shield, but was also shaken, his feet plowing two deep furrows in the ground, and intense pain shot through his shield-holding arm.

In just one encounter, the Avengers' Big Three were utterly defeated!

Meanwhile, at Kent Farm.

Ter-Ror, who was hesitating whether to farm, suddenly stopped, looked up, and gazed in the direction of New York.

A powerful and unfamiliar aura burned fiercely in his perception.

An excited smile appeared on Ter-Ror's face. He casually threw the seeds on the ground.

"Finally... some decent guys have arrived."

Fighting was much more interesting than farming.

However... as the fanaticism in his eyes just ignited, some images uncontrollably flashed through his mind:

In another world, the moment he fought alongside the man named Goku, that was the first time he recognized the word 'friend'.

And in this world, he felt a deep-seated loneliness.

Ter-Ror curled his lip, his eyes instantly becoming cold and wild.

He sensed the direction of New York again: a powerful energy body (kree), a few somewhat interesting energy bodies (Avengers).

"Perfect, they're all gathered."

He grinned, revealing his characteristic smile, longing for battle and destruction, but with a different meaning in his smile.

"Then... I'll go smash that blind idiot, along with my superfluous irritation, into smithereens!"

His aura flared around him, and he rushed in the direction of New York.

Leaving three bewildered people behind.
