"Are you guys really…" Riley managed to say, but Tristan cut her off before she could finish.
"No, we are not," he said quickly. His eyes shifted to his uncle, who looked completely confused about what was happening between them.
Adele frowned. "How do you know what she wanted to say?" she asked, her face filled with curiosity.
"I I…" Tristan began, but the words refused to come out.
"Forget about it," Kol said suddenly, his voice firm as he ended the tension. "Tend to my wounds so that I can leave here."
When Riley was done tending to his wounds, she handed Rina a list of what he should do and what he should avoid. She also added the kind of food and fruits he needed to eat, making sure to stress one thing. "Please avoid spicy food for him."
"I will follow the instructions carefully, ma," Rina said with a smile as she bowed slightly before leaving the room.
