Chapter 2 - The Beginning :The childhood of a virtuoso.

Japan, musutafu, Earth Rebirth...

A little boy with shoulder-length black hair and big green eyes was waiting for his mother at the door of the house. His excitement was perceptible. Indeed, today was his birthday, he had just turned 4 years old and it was at this age that the majority of children manifested powers or quirks as they are called.

"Izuku, calm down, you're so agitated that the whole house is shaking!" laughed Inko when she saw his beautiful child so excited.

"I can't wait to find out what my Quirk is!" Izuku cried with a bright smile. Inko nodded and retrieved his jacket and car keys.

This world is not really different from the original. Quirks have appeared, 80% of the world's population owns them, the profession of hero is born, All might is the greatest hero in the world, the symbol of peace.

The journey to the hospital took only 30 minutes. During the whole journey, izuku had stayed looking at the city. He hugged his figure all might.

When they arrived at the hospital, they made an appointment with the Quirks' specialist doctor. A fat bald man who was a wish version of Eggman according to izuku.

"Hello Mrs. Midoriya... And hey little izuku," the doctor said kindly as he stroked the little boy's jet-black hair.

"Doctor, what is my Quirk?" asked Izuku with a huge smile filled with excitement and anticipation.

The old doctor burst out laughing, and Inko shook his head in sweet exasperation.

"We will first do the tests and then we will see... "He smiled as he took Izuku's hand to lead him to another room.

There was also something that hadn't changed, it was obviously obvious to you.

With the tests over, Izuku and his mother eagerly awaited the results, which soon arrived.

"Mrs. Midoriya...." began the doctor gravely.

This immediately put the little family on alert.

"What's the matter, doctor?" asked Inko worriedly.

Izuku stared at Dr. Eggman anxiously, was there a problem with his quirk?

"Your son has a joint on his little toe, it is a vestige of the pre-Quirk era that has disappeared in individuals with a Quirk. In other words...."

"Izuku has no Quirk..." Inko said sadly.

"I'm afraid so... I'm sorry izuku..." said the doctor sadly, noticing the face filled with shock and dripping with tears of sadness of the dark-haired boy.

The figure all might had fallen to the ground and the doctor hurried to pick it up.

"I understand your sadness. Be strong, okay?" he said with a reassuring smile as he handed the figure to Izuku.

Izuku looked at this toy in despair and without getting it back, he hurriedly left the room.

"izuku!" called Inko. She stared at the doctor, who in turn stared at her. The look they shared was indecipherable.

Inko took his leave and left the hospital, his son was waiting for him in front of the car.

"I could never be a hero like All Might..." Izuku began with heartbreaking tears.

He felt really bad, he felt like his world was falling apart.

His mother simply stared at him sadly, clenching her fists in pain at the sight of her sad little angel.

She squatted down and took Izuku's face to put his forehead on and dry his tears.

"Izuku, tell me what a hero is..." Inko asked with gentle firmness.

Izuku was surprised for a second but still replied:

"A hero is someone who always helps those who need it most... With a smile."

Inko smiled at this answer.

"Do you really think you need an Quirk to help people? It's true that you won't be able to fight villains like all might does, but bringing your help, your support to those who need it in your own way is already heroic "

Izuku widened his eyes, his eyes were shining with a sudden realization.

" You are my hero izuku, you don't need an Quirk to demonstrate your heart and heroic will. You remember? You consoled me when I lost my job, you found the wallet that a grandma lost, you helped this little girl who had problems with her father and now she is happy thanks to you... You can be a hero in your own way, a hero without an Quirk."

Izuku nodded with a tearful smile, he hugged his mother with all his might. Inko stroked his soft black hair.

They remained in each other's arms for a few minutes and Inko stood up with a mischievous smile.

"Tell me Izuku, what do I see in your hair?" she asked, ruffling her black hair to get out two tickets to Musutafu's hottest circus.

"Mom?! You have two quirks?!" cried izuku with amazed eyes.

Inko burst out laughing. Her son had regained his smile and that made her happy.

"Come on, let's go have fun at the circus! There is this famous couple of trapeze artists who will dazzle the evening." Inko smiled loudly as he got into the car with his son, who was happy to celebrate his birthday at the circus.

The die is cast and your destiny is already beginning, izuku Midoriya.....

The circus was packed, the audience was ecstatic.

The dancers, jugglers, clowns brought joy and light to each of their performances.

Izuku and his mother were on cloud nine, he was happy to be here, laughing and admiring the performances of real artists.

It inspired him and seeing so many people happy made him happy too.

"You have been waiting for it with great impatience! Here is the highlight of the show: a performance by the iconic duo of the circus, the Flying Graysons!!" cried the leader of the troop.

"Did you hear that Izuku? It's the couple of trapeze artists I told you about," says Inko with a smile.

Izuku nodded, eager to see this performance that seemed incredible.

The couple greeted the audience with confident smiles.

Then the show began...

There was a silence in the crowd every time they jumped, twirled in the air, grabbed each other and swayed in this acrobatic dance.

They seemed to defy gravity itself, a pair of swans filled with grace and elegance.

There was thunderous applause when it was over. The children shouted in admiration, the adults whispered compliments to each other.

Inko applauds, impressed and almost moved by this fascinating dance.

"Did you see that Izuku? They are impressive and...."

Turning to her son, her eyes widened...

Izuku looked at the couple with an admiration that she had only seen for All might. Her son had such a sparkle in his eyes.... For a 4 year old, it was amazing....

Izuku no longer heard the cheers of the audience, the laughter, the compliments...

"Mom... They are amazing... " he said with a pure smile.

"When I saw them do this dance, I felt something I had never felt before... They were so beautiful, it was so dangerous, the slightest mistake could lead to certain death and yet they did it with a smile, with such confidence... And they made everyone happy... "

Inko looked at her son gently and ruffled his hair.

"Do you want us to ask them for an autograph?" asked Inko mischievously.

"YES!! THEY'RE SO COOL, SO ELEGANT!! I WONDER WHAT THEIR QUIRKS ARE AND..."

Izuku fell silent abruptly upon realizing that he had screamed, even though the people around them ignored them.

Inko laughed tenderly.

"Come on, let's go..." she said, taking his hand.

***************×*****×**************

Izuku slept peacefully on his mother's thighs, sitting on the living room couch.

He clutched his little notebook with the signature of the flying Graysons in his arms, his All Might figurine a few centimeters from him.

Inko stroked the silky hair, a soft smile on her lips. Without ceasing her caresses, she took her phone and dialed a number.

His gentle face immediately gave way to a serious, extremely serious face, which would surprise anyone who knew Inko.

"Hello?"

"...."

"You probably already know, aren't you? Izuku was diagnosed with No Quirk"

"...."

"I wouldn't let you, Hisashi. He's also my child," she says in a sharp voice.

"...."

"Come and see him at least once, stop acting like he's just an object!" she cried without knowing that she had screamed and woken her son.

"Mom?" Izuku asked in a sleepy voice.

Inko immediately hung up and hugged her son.

"Are you okay my little darling? I'll take you to sleep in your room"

"Are you okay?" asked Izuku worriedly.

"Why are you asking that Izuku? I'm doing great!" cried Inko with a happy smile as she lifted her son up.

Izuku looked her in the eye and for a moment, her mother thought he saw her soul...

Inko sighed, she knew that lying to her son was useless.

He was extremely sensitive for a boy his age and could read body language, it was almost a gift in him...

"Don't worry, I'm just a little angry with your father, but it will pass quickly!" she smiled

"Dad?! Is he okay? I would have liked to talk to him so badly!" cried izuku with an angelic smile.

Inko tensed up for a millisecond and izuku noticed.

"It's late Izuku, we're going to go to bed" she says simply as she climbs the stairs to the little boy's room.

"Mom? Daddy is disappointed that I'm quirkless?" Izuku asked in a small, trembling voice.

"No Izuku, he's not disappointed..." Inko replied sadly.

Izuku nodded, he didn't want to try to find out if it was a lie or the truth...

He just wanted to believe it....

**********×**********×**************

Children are often merciless with each other, especially in the superheroic society that glorifies Quirks.

In a kindergarten class...

"Hello my loves! You must be super happy! Your Quirks have manifested! Today's first exercise will be to demonstrate it in front of the class!"

The teacher smiled greatly, clapping her hands.

The children showed their Quirks in turn, some had impressive powers, others had original powers...

Among these children, a little boy with ashy blonde hair stood out with his cool and powerful quirk: explosion.

"Whouah! What a powerful Quirk! You will undoubtedly be a great hero, katsuki!" smiled the teacher and the other children applauded too...

"I would be the greatest hero! Like all might!" cried Katsuki Bakugo, arrogantly raising his fist.

Izuku, who was in a small corner out of the way, smiled softly.

He was sure that bakugo would fulfill his dreams....

"Miss? Why didn't izuku and Akira show their Quirks?" asked a pink-haired girl.

The teacher sighed with a slight sadness.

"Akira can't because his quirk is dangerous to us, and izuku.... That's because he doesn't have a quirk..." she said, staring at the boy with black hair and green eyes.

Silence immediately reigned and dozens of pairs of eyes fixed on izuku and a girl with the face of a frightening demon.

Izuku suddenly felt very bad. he saw, he felt the looks of mockery, of misplaced curiosity, of disgust even....

He had expected it, but it was surprisingly painful....

"He doesn't have an Quirk?"

"How is this possible? Is it a disease?"

"My dad told me that quirkless is useless waste... You must not approach him"

"He's not like us..."

"He's worth nothing..."

"He's a quirkless..."

"quirkless"

"quirkless"

"quirkless"

"quirkless"

.....

"deku..."

The word that katsuki uttered made all the children turn to him.

"It means Useless, like his first name, he can never be a hero... He is weak and fragile..." Katsuki said with a completely detached look.

The mistress stood up abruptly and approached Izuku, who had his head down, his body curled up on himself.

"Katsuki!! Never say such a thing again!! Excuse yourself!" growled the teacher as she hugged Izuku, who was crying.

"Why not?! You prefer it to us when it is useless! A quirkless!!" shouted katsuki with rage.

"If I still hear such words coming out of your mouth, you're stuck and I'll tell your parents! Quirkless is not useless, it is not waste because it is different! Now go back to your seats!" the mistress ordered in a voice filled with anger.

She dried Izuku's tears gently.

"Don't worry and don't listen to them, you're going to do great things later," says the teacher with a reassuring smile.

Izuku nodded mechanically and she returned to her desk.

Izuku knew that humans were not born equal... It was so obvious that it seemed ridiculous.

But for a 4-year-old with such sensitivity, this reality of life consumed him.

The children were playing with each other, having already excluded Izuku and little Akira from their circles. They revolved around bakugo, adulating him or rather adulating his power.

Izuku was out of the way, drawing in his notebook. These drawings were not perfect, but for a 4-year-old, this level of detail was impressive.

"Wow! You draw so well!" the teacher smiled greatly, looking over his shoulder.

Izuku turned around and saw that the mistress was not alone, Akira was with her.

Izuku immediately noticed her discomfort, how she looked at the ground, the stiffness of her shoulders, the trembling of her little hands.

Izuku stood up and to his mistress's astonishment, took Akira's hand and smiled.

"Can I draw you?" he asked with a smile that would melt the heart of the worst criminal.

Akira's eyes widened.

"I...."

"Izuku, be careful... His skin..." began the mistress anxiously.

"So Akira? Let's get started! We'll take the opportunity to sympathize!" smiled Izuku, brandishing his notebook with a sincere joy that made Akira cry.

"Okay, but did you see my appearance? I am..."

"What?" he asked with sincere astonishment.

Akira snorted and wiped his eyes.

"Okay, let's do it, Izuku!" Akira smiled greatly.

The teacher observed the interaction with a sweet smile.

He was only 4 years old, but his heart was the most heroic there is.....

**************×************×********

A month had passed, Izuku's comrades were still distant and laughing, but the kind mistress miho prevented any kind of harassment against him.

Izuku and Akira had become very close, each brightening their dreary days with games and laughter.

Bakugo mocked, saying that the monsters got along well with each other.

Izuku was happier going to school. He no longer made up excuses as he did at the beginning.

He and his mother had gone to the circus several times, and Izuku became a true enthusiast of acrobatics and aerial dance. His passion for heroes was still present, but it seemed to be weakening...

This Saturday marked an important turning point in the history of Izuku and his future aspirations....

"Mom! Look at this!" cried the little black-haired boy, climbing on a small stool.

"Izuku, be careful! You're going to..." Inko began before widening his eyes in amazement.

In front of his eyes, izuku midoriya, 4 years old, had just done three backflips, then rolled before starting to walk on his hands...

"Izuku.... How...?" asked Inko in astonishment, leaning over to her son in surprise.

"It's so cool! I've never felt so good!" Izuku smiled loudly as he jumped on the stool with natural grace, then greeted his mother with the elegance of an artist.

Inko then applauded, torn between legitimate stupor and deep admiration.

"He's incredible! He has so many talents!" thought Inko.

"You are a real acrobatic prodigy! But don't overdo it, you can hurt yourself." Inko said with gentle firmness.

Izuku nodded with a determined smile.

The doorbell rang, and Inko went.

"Hello, what can I do for you?" she asked before freezing in astonishment at the three newcomers...

"Oh? But it's you, Mrs. Midoriya!" cried the woman with a surprised expression on her face.

"Who would have thought we'd be neighbors?" the man asked with a serene smile.

Chance does things well, doesn't it?

"Mr. and Mrs. Grayson! Are we neighbours? But it's..." Inko began with immense surprise.

"I admit that I didn't expect it! We were planning to move to Japan for a few years and this cozy little house was just the thing!" smiles Mr. Grayson.

"We wanted to get to know our new neighbors, and here we are with great fans!" cried Mrs. Grayson with a joyful smile. Inko shook their hands.

"I'm so happy, Izuku's going to be overjoyed when he sees you!"

It was then that Inko noticed the girl with them.

She must have been 10 years old, she was very cute with her long black hair and her mesmerizing blue eyes.

"oh but who is this little angel?" asked Inko, leaning over to the girl.

"This is our daughter, Amanda. She rarely comes to the circus, so focused on her classes!" laughed Mr. Grayson.

"A very good girl! But come in! I am very happy to welcome you to my home!"

Amanda handed Inko a box full of cakes and other sweet treats, which made Inko coo.

They eventually entered the house and the Grayson family were surprised to see izuku doing somersaults, jumping around with agility and doing a few pirouettes.

At last he placed himself before them with his hands raised with grace.

"Magnificent!!" shouted the three adults as they applauded while Amanda stared at izuku with curiosity and interest.

Izuku was a bit in his own world, so he didn't realize right away that the Graysons were at home....

Wait for the wires to connect to reality.... And....

"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!!!" Izuku shouted as he rushed towards the Graysons with the excitement of a true fanboy.

The Graysons and Inko laughed.

"Hi Izuku! So I see that our number 1 fan is a real little acrobat!" smiles Mrs. Grayson loudly as she bends down to stroke izuku's hair.

"You are here! In my house! In the flesh! I'm going to faint!" cried Izuku, fidgeting with star-filled eyes.

"It's not the big surprise yet, the Graysons are our neighbors!" smiled Inko as Izuku's eyes were bigger than saucers.

"It's.... It's.... Too cool!! The best trapeze artists in the world are my neighbors!" shouted Izuku, hopping around, making the adults laugh and Amanda sigh.

"Don't exaggerate either, but thank you for the compliment!" smiles Mrs. Grayson.

a few minutes later, Inko was chatting with John and Mary Grayson over a good cup of tea while the children played apart.

"So Izuku doesn't have an Quirk? It's exceptional what he's just done, especially at his age..." John said seriously, looking at izuku out of the corner of his eye.

"he was very sad at first but thanks to you, he has found his smile again, I can't thank you enough for that" says Inko with a tearful smile.

Mary nodded with a sweet smile as she took inko's hands.

"Izuku is an extraordinary boy! So talented and so cute too! He's made to shine on the stage!" Mary smiled greatly as she looked at izuku with tenderness.

"It's true!" smiles Inko.

She was really happy that these people didn't condemn her son because he's quirkless, she felt like they would become very good friends.

"Unbelievable!" cried Izuku's voice.

The adults turned to the children and saw Amanda performing a ballet performance in izuku who had her eyes shining with admiration.

Inko was fascinated by the girl's perfect movements.

"It's so cool! I want to do that too!" cried Izuku with determination.

"Of course you can!and there's more to it than that!" smiled Amanda as she stopped dancing.

"Really?" asked Izuku, tilting his head to the side.

"Amanda does ballet, contemporary dance, rhythmic gymnastics and figure skating, she's a genius!" smiles John proudly.

"Unbelievable.... You're amazing!" smiled Izuku as he took Amanda's hand.

Amanda blushed arrogantly as she puffed out her chest.

"Of course I'm amazing! They don't call me "the swan" for nothing! "

"Amanda is exceptional!" smiles Inko.

"You know, Izuku? I've been watching you a lot and I think you're for it! We are made of the same wood! I'll teach you everything I know and we'll dance with the world, you and me!" cried Amanda as she lifted izuku as rachiki did to Simba in The Lion King.

"You'll see, art also makes you happy!"

"That would be a great idea! And we could even teach him acrobatics, this boy has movement in his blood!" smiled John as his wife nodded with a determined smile.

"Maybe it will be possible, who knows?" smiled Inko simply.

"Then I will have a disciple? I can't wait!" cried Amanda.

Izuku had just smiled that day, he wanted to be happy and make the people around him happy... So if he couldn't be a hero, becoming a professional acrobat and dancer seemed like the best option.

He loved doing that....

Thus, four years passed....

During this period of his life, Izuku had learned classical dance, rhythmic gymnastics, contemporary dance, and figure skating. It was at the age of 7 that he started acrobatics with the Flying Graysons.

He was a true virtuoso in these arts, having already won quite a few awards for his genius.

The Graysons and the midoriya had grown extremely close, becoming a kind of blended family.

Izuku saw John and Mary as his godparents and Amanda as the sister he never had.

Of course it was mutual...

But happiness is always short-lived.... And for his eighth birthday, izuku will understand him in the greatest of pain.

"Izuku? Are you ready? We're going to be late!" cried Inko.

"Yes, I'm here!" Izuku smiled loudly as he arrived, all beautiful and soft.

"Okay, let's go!" smiles Inko as he takes his car keys.

The Flying Graysons had finished their performances and were waving to the delirious audience.

However, izuku and Inko were not present....

They were really worried, Inko and izuku always came to the circus to see them...

What was going on?

"You bitch!!" the three-eyed thug shouted as he slapped Inko with all his might, throwing her violently to the ground.

"STOP!!!! STOP!" izuku shouted as he struggled violently under the grip of a bottle-headed guy.

"Calm down! The boss wants you in one piece! Don't force me to rape you!" cried the man in a demented voice.

Inko stood up abruptly and pulled a small knife with her quirk.

"Do you want to fight? I like women who resist..." said the three-eyed man with a smirk.

Inko rushed to the man with the bottle head to free his son but the man created a glass bottle from his hand and hit Inko in the face with it.

The bottle exploded and Inko screamed in pain, totally disfigured.

The three-eyed man focused a laser in his third eye and shot Inko in the stomach.

"MOM!!!!!!"

Izuku abruptly broke free and rushed to his mother.

The two men tried to catch him, but he dodged them with an ease that stunned them greatly.

Izuku gently hugged his mother, he didn't want to let go of her... Never!

"Hey! Let yourself be a kid, otherwise, we won't be nice to you..." said the bottle-headed guy with a smirk.

The two men tried to separate them, but Inko squeezed her son with extraordinary force.

"Let go of him, bitch!!" the three-eyed man shouted as he hit Inko in the head.

Inko held on, clutching her son until he clenched his teeth in pain.

"Damn! She doesn't give up!" growled the bottle-headed guy.

The phone in inko's pocket rang non-stop. Izuku was just crying.

All of a sudden, the phone of the guy with the bottle head received a message.

"Shit! The cops are coming! We're getting out!" he cried out in fear.

"But the kid? If we don't bring him back, we're going to take away our cool Quirks and kill us!" the three-eyed guy shouted as he wiped again to separate izuku from his mother.

Police sirens could be heard and the two panicked men rushed out of the house.

Inko and izuku were left alone.

Inko knew that she wouldn't last long...

The blood was spreading on the ground, red, viscous...

"I... Izuku... I don't see you...." Inko said in a sleepy voice.

"Mom...." Izuku said with tears in his eyes...

Inko raised his blood-stained hand and touched the face of his son, his treasure, the most important being in the world.

"It's such a shame, I wanted to look at you one last time..... I... I wouldn't be here to watch you grow up and... To become the hero you wanted to be..."

Izuku sobbed, hugging his mother in his still small arms.

The door opened abruptly.

"Inko! izuku...!" shouted the Graysons, accompanied by Inspector Naomasa Tsukauchi.

Their eyes widened in horror and Mary put her hands over her mouth.

That day, the sky was magnificent.... But it rained a few minutes later....

To Be continued....
