Chapter 97 - Chapter 97: The Door to the Moonlit World

Izumi once again enjoyed the full display of Tohsaka Rin's priceless facial expressions, and he couldn't have been more satisfied.

Ignoring Rin, he continued giving instructions to Asia Argento.

"Help me come up with a reason for taking a leave from school.

And tell Megumi Kato and Koneko for me."

As for Avrora and Ophis, Izumi had already made arrangements.

Asia only needed to mention some "family circumstances" and ask Himejima Akeno to come over and cook. That alone would be more than enough.

And honestly… Izumi knew full well that Akeno and the others would never miss a chance to interact with Ophis.

Asia listened anxiously before asking in a worried tone:

"Lord Izumi… is it really safe?

Will you be in danger if you return to that world?"

Izumi chuckled.

"Relax. There's no danger.

There isn't anyone in that world who can threaten me."

"Well… unless Alaya or Gaia personally show up.

Aside from that, I'm not scared of anyone."

"Oh—except that older brother Zheng from one of the Lostbelts.

His planet-buster cannon? Yeah, that one's scary."

"But he doesn't listen to Alaya or Gaia anyway."

"So basically—no problem."

Izumi truly wasn't afraid.

If anything, he looked eager.

The Nasuverse was full of treasures.

Nearly everything—Mystic Codes, materials, artifacts—could be traded for something valuable.

Why wouldn't he go on a harvesting trip?

If possible, he even wanted to obtain the Second Magic, then visit the "Magus of the Otherworld" universe to research Job Cards.

No matter how he thought about it, Izumi was determined to go.

Maybe he'd even find a way to grow stronger.

Seeing Izumi's confidence, Asia finally relaxed.

Beside her, Ophis tilted her head and asked:

"Do you want me to go?"

Izumi rolled his eyes.

"If you go, Alaya and Gaia—those two little lolis—would drag an entire army of Heroic Spirits to chase us down."

"It would be dangerous even if it wasn't supposed to be."

"So no. Stay here and keep an eye on Avrora.

Make sure she doesn't wander off."

Hearing that, Ophis nodded obediently.

If Izumi said he understood, then she would trust that.

Meanwhile, Tohsaka Rin listened to Izumi casually deciding everything and could only think:

Does he really think my world is that weak?

Since when is he this fearless?

She felt exhausted just imagining it.

But when she considered the differences between his world and hers, she fell silent.

Realistically speaking, without the true bodies of the Heroic Spirits descending, Izumi could probably one-punch half the participants of the Grail War.

Even if Gilgamesh used Ea, Izumi would probably treat it like an itch.

Dodging it would be child's play.

And if Gil actually revealed Ea?

Izumi would absolutely try to steal it.

Projected Noble Phantasms couldn't be traded, but the originals held by the spirits themselves absolutely could.

And of course—his main goal was the Greater Grail.

Once he had that, everything else was negotiable.

After finishing breakfast, Izumi leisurely cleaned up the dishes, then returned to his room and packed a few clothes and necessities into his system storage.

Even if he didn't need much, he wasn't going to leave empty-handed.

Going on a trip deserved at least a bit of ceremony.

Rin watched him with dead eyes.

He was actually treating his arrival in her world like a vacation.

And she was already stressing about what would happen after they arrived.

Was she really going to be stuck with him for an entire year?

Her earlier joy about returning home was completely gone—replaced only by dread.

Once Izumi and Le Fay finished packing, they returned to the living room.

Seeing Rin's gloomy expression, Izumi flashed a bright smile.

"Are you coming or not?

If yes, put your shoes on. We're leaving."

Rin instantly sprang to her feet.

"Of course I'm going! I have to go!"

She rushed to the entrance and grabbed her shoes.

Seeing this, Izumi pulled out the location card.

Under everyone's curious gaze, he said to Rin:

"Come here."

Rin blinked in confusion but stepped forward.

The moment she came close, Izumi pressed the card directly onto her chest.

Rin froze—then her face turned bright red.

"Y-You bastard!! Do you have a death wish!?"

She reared her fist, ready to punch him—

—but at that moment, the card suddenly emitted a brilliant light.

Rin stopped mid-swing.

The card floated away from her chest and unfolded into a massive spatial rift.

Izumi's eyes lit up.

"Oh? It worked."

Though the other side was pitch-black, he could feel it clearly—that was the Nasuverse.

Just as he was about to speak, Ophis raised her tiny hand.

A wave of power surged out of her and shot into the distant world.

Izumi stared, baffled.

"Ophis? What are you doing?"

She tilted her head.

"Marking it."

"I memorized that world's coordinates.

If you don't come back, I'll go get you."

Izumi's eyes sparkled.

"There's a function like that!?"

"So you can go there directly?

Without Great Red punching you across dimensions?"

Ophis shook her head.

Great Red wouldn't detect this.

This wasn't traveling through a normal dimensional corridor.

She had torn through space directly—and only because Rin's world was relatively close to theirs.

Other worlds would not be possible.

Since she didn't elaborate further, Izumi didn't push.

If he failed to return, Ophis would come fetch him.

Even better—he might not need the location card anymore.

He could ask Ophis to tear open a path anytime and go visit the Nasuverse.

Izumi was delighted.

Tohsaka Rin was not escaping him now.

And he could go to her world whenever he felt like it.

The thought filled him with joy.

Looking at Rin, he grinned.

"Alright—let's go home."

With that, Izumi stepped into the spatial rift with Le Fay.

Rin, startled, hurried after them—this was no time to overthink.

She needed to return as soon as possible.

And so, one after another, they vanished into the darkness.
