Le Fay's family lineage was one steeped in ancient secrets. As the daughter of a household that catalogued countless occult histories, and as a lifelong academic prodigy, she naturally knew the name Ophis very well.
Ophis—the Infinite Dragon God, a being on the same level as Great Red.
An entity so overwhelmingly powerful that even speaking her name carried weight.
But… none of the records ever said she was a loli.
According to the forbidden tomes Le Fay studied as a child, Ophis was described as a formless, ancient, ageless presence—sometimes even as an elderly man. Which meant…
Those books were nonsense!
The real Ophis, standing right in front of her, was a small, expressionless girl who radiated unfathomable existence. In that moment, Le Fay's worldview quietly shattered.
Izumi, unaware of Le Fay's inner turmoil, finished introducing Ophis to everyone and casually headed toward the bathroom.
"Get along while I'm gone. She'll be staying with us," he said as he left.
Of everyone here, only Le Fay truly understood what kind of being had just been invited into their home.
The others—including Avrora—didn't grasp it at all.
If the Primogenitor within Avrora were still alive, perhaps she would understand. But the original soul was gone, leaving Avrora blissfully ignorant. It was probably for the best; if this airheaded vampire loli realized how terrifying Ophis truly was, she would definitely cry.
Izumi had only told them that Ophis was "a dragon."
He didn't mention what kind of dragon.
Upon hearing the word "dragon," Asia Argento's eyes immediately sparkled. No wonder she had felt strangely attached to Ophis upon seeing her—of course she would; dragons were sacred and awe-inspiring.
So while Izumi bathed, Asia took it upon herself to serve Ophis tea, offer her cake, and treat her like an honored guest.
The perpetually emotionless Ophis accepted all this with her usual blank expression, but even she began to look faintly pleased.
And without realizing it herself…
Ophis granted Asia a blessing.
A direct divine boon from the Infinite Dragon God.
Asia's magical potential skyrocketed in an instant, magic gathering in her body like a rising tide—but she remained completely unaware.
From the corner, Avrora watched with puffed cheeks.
(Asia never treats me that nicely…)
She was absolutely jealous.
Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Izumi knew none of this.
He leaned back in the bathtub, opening his system interface.
Inside were two items:
The Soul of the Primogenitor and Dimitrie's corpse.
"What can I trade these for…?"
With a shrug, Izumi tossed both items into the system's exchange slot.
A burst of white light flashed.
Two items popped out.
[You have obtained: Alchemy Material Grand Pack]
[You have obtained: World Locator Card]
Izumi blinked.
He immediately opened the descriptions.
[Alchemy Grand Pack]
Contains 666 types of alchemical materials × 999 units each.
[World Locator Card]
Allows tracking of a different world.
Requirement: Must possess something originating from that world.
PS: Objects obtained through system sacrifices do not count.
"…Seriously?"
Izumi stared at the card, speechless.
Track another world?
That sounded incredibly overpowered.
Until he read the fine print.
"Must possess something from that world? And sacrificed items don't count? You're messing with me!"
With a groan, Izumi tossed the card aside.
He then opened the alchemy materials pack.
As the description said, it held a mountain of basic alchemical components—good quality, but nothing rare. Still…
"Wait. With this… I can finally start making my magical-girl transformation device!"
His eyes sparkled for a moment.
Then he frowned.
"…But these aren't enough. The core is missing."
A transformation device needed a central magic reactor—the heart of the system, the source of power.
Without it, it would be nothing more than a glorified auto-changing costume feature.
Which, admittedly, still sounded amazing.
Izumi quietly murmured to himself:
"I'll need to find a proper core someday…
Maybe Ophis' power could work?"
He paused.
"…That might actually be possible."
His expression slowly warped into a smile that only true gentlemen would understand.
A fully functional magical-girl transformation device.
Auto-transform.
Special costumes.
He had to make it.
With newfound motivation, Izumi quickly finished bathing, dried himself off, threw on some clothes, and hurried back out.
What he saw was…
Avrora and Ophis fighting over sweets, Asia trying to mediate, and Le Fay panicking.
Izumi rubbed his temples.
Avrora… you're the weakest one here. Why are you fighting the Infinite Dragon God over desserts? Do you have a death wish?
He sighed and left them be since Ophis didn't seem annoyed.
Instead, he pulled out the alchemy materials and began to experiment off to the side.
Le Fay's eyes widened as she rushed over.
"L-Lord Izumi! These alchemy materials—t-they're incredible! Are you planning to craft something?"
Izumi nodded casually.
"Just a small prototype. I'll let you be the first to try it."
Her breath caught.
Izumi smirked internally.
With Ophis' power as the core, Le Fay would gain a massive surge in magic—likely enough to reach near-Demon-Lord class in an instant.
After all, even the cultists in the original DxD series became monsters by consuming mere fragments of Ophis' power.
A transformation device made by him would be far superior.
No side effects.
No risks.
And it would let the user transform.
Just imagining Le Fay turning into a magical girl—perhaps something like Dark Magician Girl—was enough to make Izumi's heart race.
He immediately began drawing magic circles, planning designs, sketching outfit concepts.
Magic arrays danced around his fingertips.
The glowing circles spun in complex sequences.
Le Fay watched in a daze, cheeks flushing.
(A-amazing… Izumi-sama looks so… cool…)
And so, while the house bustled with noise and sweets theft, Izumi's workshop of dreams quietly began.
