For nearly two weeks, Iris Dawncaster had been hearing increasingly ridiculous stories about the Mana Cultivation Tower.
One Mage claimed the mana density increased with every floor. Another insisted the Tower somehow recognized how much pressure each person could endure and stopped them before serious harm occurred.
A third swore that cultivating inside it for several hours had accomplished more than three days inside his family's private mana chamber. Iris had dismissed the first story as exaggeration, the second as misunderstanding, and the third as the usual nonsense Warriors produced whenever they encountered something new.
Then she visited three separate Mage circles, questioned eleven people who had personally entered the Tower, compared their accounts, and discovered the irritating problem that their stories mostly agreed.
