For a brief moment, Patri and Rhya simply stared at Yuuki.
Hope flickered in their eyes.
So did fear.
They wanted their guess to be true.
They were afraid it was only wishful thinking.
The Elf Tribe had once stood proud. Now, only four of them remained.
Even now, Licht's final words echoed in their ears.
"Live on in this world—for us as well."
Rhya cast a quiet glance at Patri and the others.
He could feel it—the same hollow uncertainty in all of them.
For centuries, they had lived for vengeance.
Now the misunderstanding between elves and humans had been resolved, and the hatred that sustained them was gone.
But in its absence… what remained?
Could a race erased five hundred years ago truly take root again in this world?
"What did you mean just now?" Rhya asked at last, his voice steady but serious.
Yuuki gave a faint, almost bored smile.
"It seems hatred blinded you so completely that you never even confirmed how many of your own people survived."
He paused, then said flatly:
"The Elf Tribe was not completely exterminated. Even now, a small number of elves are still alive."
The words struck like lightning.
Patri and the others stiffened, their expressions shifting to disbelief.
"That's impossible!" Patri burst out. "You're lying!"
"Lying?" Yuuki's gaze cooled slightly. "Do you really think you possess anything worth deceiving you over?"
Patri's anger faltered.
Even Vetto and Elf Fana fell silent.
He was right.
The only thing of value they had—their magic—had already been replicated by Yuuki.
"There was someone who survived five hundred years ago," Yuuki continued casually. "Princess Tetia of the Clover Kingdom. The sister of the First Wizard King. The wife of your tribe's leader."
Rhya frowned.
"That can't be. If Princess Tetia survived, then how did Licht's unborn child reincarnate into Yuno?"
Yuuki glanced at him.
"Because Princess Tetia was carrying twins."
All eyes turned to Rhya.
His ability to discern truth left no room for doubt.
"…He's not lying," Rhya said quietly, though a suppressed excitement trembled beneath his voice.
Yuuki allowed them a moment to process the revelation before continuing.
"Princess Tetia escaped the massacre with a handful of surviving elves. They left the Clover Kingdom and settled deep within the Heart Kingdom's grand mana zone—Elysia."
"Five centuries later, they've formed a new Elf Tribe."
"In a sense… they are Licht's descendants."
The emptiness in Patri's eyes vanished.
So did the uncertainty.
A future—however fragile—now existed.
Yuuki folded his arms.
"Now that we're finished with that, let's discuss something practical. You've already wasted enough of my time."
Patri exchanged a glance with Rhya.
If the tribe had truly ended with the four of them, they might have fought Yuuki to the death without hesitation.
But now—
Now there were others.
Survivors.
Children of their people.
And Yuuki knew where they were.
"We don't have much of a choice, do we?" Patri said quietly.
"Good."
Yuuki waved a hand. The chains binding them dissolved instantly.
What he had given them was not only repayment for Licht's sword.
It was also a warning.
The four before him were powerful. Backed by a reborn Elf Tribe, they could become a formidable force.
He intended that force to stand beside him—not against him.
"Write down the reincarnation forbidden spell," Yuuki said calmly. "The Three-Eyed sacrifice ritual. And the mana storage forbidden art you used before."
Paper and ink floated out from a spatial opening and stopped before Patri.
Yuuki was interested not only in Patri's Light Magic, but also in the forbidden techniques he wielded.
The complete reincarnation spell likely remained with the Word Soul Devil—whose soul Yuuki had already sealed within the Demon-Destroyer Sword. Extracting knowledge from that being would take time.
For now, even an incomplete version would suffice.
Patri did not hesitate.
He wrote everything Yuuki requested.
When Yuuki accepted the pages, he noticed something extra—another spell titled "Trinity Seal."
He raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
Once satisfied, Yuuki pointed forward.
A dark spatial gate opened.
"This leads to the Clover Kingdom's border nearest the Heart Kingdom. I'll contact you when needed."
Patri nodded once.
He and the others stepped into the portal.
Just before disappearing, Rhya paused.
"There's something I don't understand."
Yuuki looked at him.
"You've already solved the external problems. With your current strength, the captains can't stop you."
"And yet… I sense urgency in you. A kind of pressure."
Rhya's gaze sharpened.
"Why?"
Yuuki considered ignoring him.
Instead, a faint smile touched his lips.
"The Word Soul Devil was strong, wasn't he?"
He paused.
"But what lies ahead… is stronger."
Rhya's pupils tightened.
He studied Yuuki for a long moment, then stepped fully into the gate.
The portal closed.
Silence returned to the white expanse of the spatial dimension.
Yuuki rolled his shoulders slowly.
"So, you noticed."
He hadn't expected even Rhya to detect the impatience beneath his calm.
It wasn't that Yuuki wanted to rush.
It was that he had to.
Only during the chaos of the elves' assault and the Word Soul Devil's appearance had Julius Novachrono been too occupied to intervene.
This was his only window.
Everything that could be done had to be done now.
Whatever reasons Julius had for tolerating him until this point—
After everything that had happened, that tolerance would not last.
Yuuki's eyes sharpened.
"The ritual… cannot wait."
The so-called Apotheosis Ritual was dangerous.
Uncertain.
But inevitable.
No matter the risks.
