As for William, World Tree Magic excelled in support rather than rapid offensive exchanges. He would coordinate from the rear.
"Come on, Yuuki!" Mereoleona cracked her fists together, shockwaves rippling outward. "Only one side walks away standing!"
Yami exhaled slowly, his focus razor sharp. "Overconfidence's a bad habit. You'll regret giving us your mana."
"Shut up. I can already feel it—I can cut him," Jack muttered, licking his lips.

Compared to their rising battle intent—
Yuuki's gaze held faint disappointment.
"I shared my mana not only to avoid taking advantage of you," he said calmly, "but because I wanted a truly satisfying fight."
"Unfortunately… your performance has been disappointing."
"And I can't allow the mana I lent you to keep being wasted."
As he spoke, he dispelled Spirit Dive.
The flaming armor dissolved back into a fist-sized Salamander perched lazily on his shoulder.
After battling the Word Soul Devil—a foe where death loomed at every moment—
Facing the captains now felt… underwhelming.
Not because they were weak.
But because with Permeation Magic, Fate Magic, and Key Magic alone—
Captain-level combatants posed no real threat.
Only Mereoleona, above captain-tier, could keep pace—and even she failed to truly pressure him.
William pressed both palms to the ground.
"World Tree Recovery Magic — Budding of the World Tree!"
Emerald light erupted.
A colossal tree over twenty meters tall burst upward, branches spreading to cover nearly half the Royal Capital.
Green radiance descended upon the captains, restoring stamina and injuries.
Yet—
Before the counteroffensive could begin—
The green light vanished.
The massive tree shuddered.
Its trunk twisted grotesquely.
Leaves withered and shrank.
"What's happening, William?!" Fuegoleon demanded.
"My magic… isn't responding!" William's eyes widened.
Then—
A calm voice echoed.
"World Tree Magic — Kabbalah Tree of Life."
The ground trembled violently.
The towering tree swelled past thirty meters.
All branches retracted.
The trunk smoothed.
Ten thick roots extended from its crown, swaying in the air—
Like an inverted divine tree.
Strange.
Yet oddly beautiful.
Snap.
Yuuki snapped his fingers.
The ten roots lashed forward like black lightning.
"Evade!" Fuegoleon shouted—
—but before he could move—
His grimoire flipped open.
Flame Binding Magic — Lion's Grasp!
A flaming lion-shaped restraint locked him in place.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
When the dust settled—
William, Dorothy, and Fuegoleon hung suspended midair, bound tightly.
"Only three?" Yuuki muttered. "A bit slow."
Yami cursed under his breath.
"He copied William's magic…"
Charlotte narrowed her eyes. "It's more than copying. Don't let him touch your grimoire!"
Mereoleona launched herself forward like a blazing comet.
Yuuki simply stepped—
Permeation.
"Charlotte!" Yami shouted.
Dust filled the air.
Charlotte whipped her thorned vines, scanning particle shifts.
But Yuuki was not Gueldre.
A small spatial gate opened behind her—
Magic Binding Iron Chain Formation!
Chains wrapped her instantly.
Yami swung—
Yuuki blocked with Demon-Dweller.
Yami summoned Black Hole—
Yuuki sliced it apart.
Charlotte was lifted, bound, added to the Tree.
"Next."
Nozel flooded the battlefield with mercury.
Objects flew in constant motion.
Yuuki incinerated it all in an instant.
Nozel was bound.
Then Jack.
Then Rill.
Then Kaiser.
Within moments—
Only Yami and Mereoleona remained free.
Moonlight illuminated the ruins.
An inverted divine tree.
Eight captains suspended from roots.
The image broadcast across the Clover Kingdom.
Silence.
Utter silence.
At Hage Village—
Sister Lily covered her mouth.
The Father stood frozen.
At the northern and southern borders—
Asta and Yuno lay unconscious.
Mariella wiped blood from her lips.
"Incredible… even exhausted, they lasted this long."
"Do we return?" Neige asked.
Mariella glanced at the moon.
"Not yet."
Unseen—
Asta's fingers twitched.
