Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: The Magical Tool “Invisibility Cloak,” The Treasure Palace

This was the first time Yuuki had encountered such a situation.

After a brief moment of surprise, he suppressed his thoughts. He knew that the most important task now was to reach the Treasure Palace within the Dungeon before anyone else.

As the saying goes, "treasures never leave the palace." In the anime, during the entire Dungeon incident, only Asta and Yuno truly benefited—one obtained the Demon-Dweller Sword, the other the Wind Spirit.

The Diamond Kingdom barely carried off a cartload of gold coins, but compared to the immense wealth within the palace, it was insignificant.

Eventually, the entire Dungeon collapsed, burying all treasures and magical tools deep underground.

When Yuuki first saw that, he had been frustrated for a long time—he had wanted to grab a handful of coins for himself to compensate for the magic knights' luck.

It seemed the Dungeon event had been designed to give Asta and Yuno an unfair advantage.

But now that Yuuki was here, he intended to leave with his hands full.

"If I remember correctly, the Treasure Palace should be where the mana is densest. Then that's where I'll head."

He murmured to himself, raising his hand and drawing a white cloak from a spatial portal, draping it over his black robes.

The combination of black and white looked a bit mismatched, but this white cloak was no ordinary garment—it was a magical tool.

Its name: Invisibility Cloak.

When worn, it rendered the wearer invisible and concealed their magical aura. A truly essential item for any adventurer.

Yuuki had purchased it from the black market, and the seller was none other than the person he had been tracking all this time—the Diamond Kingdom defector:

Domina.

Born in the Witch Forest, she was skilled in crafting various magical tools and was the wife of Fanzell, the former commander of the Diamond Kingdom.

Yuuki bought the cloak not only to investigate Domina but also because there was someone in the Golden Dawn capable of detection magic.

Better safe than sorry. On his way to the Treasure Palace, he didn't want to be intercepted.

"The petty cash from the tavern is almost gone. Without income, I really have to rely on the tavern to earn some money."

Yuuki winced at the thought, then draped the cloak over himself. Instantly, he vanished from view.

The Invisibility Cloak was effective. Valued at 30,000 Yul, it was cheaper than his magical bracelet but could only be used in special situations, not daily life.

Yuuki stepped forward—and then:

Boom!

A massive boulder crashed down from above.

Yuuki's expression remained calm. He raised an arm and gestured toward the falling rock.

Whoosh!

A black spatial portal materialized, intercepting the boulder and swallowing it. The rock was expelled through another portal elsewhere.

Undeterred, Yuuki continued, moving swiftly toward the location where his senses indicated the highest mana concentration.

Along the way, any traps that appeared were effortlessly avoided using his spatial magic.

Elsewhere in the Dungeon:

"Hm?"

A puzzled voice sounded.

A girl with golden wavy hair and pale gold eyes tilted her head, curious about a sudden disappearance on her magical map.

Plant Magic—Magical Flower Waypoint!

Using this magic, she could generate a three-dimensional map of the area, tracking terrain and detecting mana levels of anyone within.

She had just seen a mana point vanish, which prompted her confusion.

"What's wrong, Mimosa?"

Klaus, wearing his Golden Dawn cloak and black-framed glasses, silver hair short-cropped, turned toward her.

"I saw a mana point disappear," Mimosa whispered.

"Disappeared? Where?" Klaus asked, startled.

"At the entrance to the Dungeon," she replied.

Hearing this, Klaus waved it off without concern.

"The Black Bulls? Or some minor figure? Probably just taken out by a trap. Nothing to worry about."

He then looked ahead at Yuno, who was directing them swiftly using controlling magic:

"Our objective is the Treasure Palace. Bring everything inside back to the kingdom. The Black Bulls and other lesser magic knight squads are irrelevant."

At this moment, within the Dungeon, the Black Bulls, the Golden Dawn, and Diamond Kingdom mages were each engaging in their own ways—some fighting, some rushing toward the Treasure Palace.

Yuuki, meanwhile, was rapidly approaching his target. Using his sensory abilities and spatial magic, he could detect the Treasure Palace's exact location without the aid of specialized detection magic like Mimosa's.

Though he had entered the Dungeon last, he would arrive at the Treasure Palace first.

A massive, thick door stood before him, around seven or eight meters tall. Embossed with a circular emblem, it blocked the way.

Yuuki frowned. He remembered how Asta and the others had bypassed this door by breaking it with anti-magic.

"A magical gate, huh? That should be simple enough."

He recalled the method, relaxed his brow, and placed his hand on the door.

At once, his mana surged, transforming into spatial magic that pressed against the door.

Hum!

The door's magic began to stir, its overflowing mana attempting to resist Yuuki's spatial manipulation.

"Open!"

Yuuki shouted, unleashing another burst of mana.

The spatial magic overpowered the gate's defenses, carving out a passage just wide enough for a person to enter. Knowing it wouldn't last long, Yuuki immediately stepped through.

The next moment, he was inside the Treasure Palace.

Mountains of gold and silver treasures glimmered around him, dazzling in their brilliance.

Seeing it in the anime hadn't prepared him for this—the piles of wealth in reality made his heart skip a beat.

Honestly, the total wealth Yuuki had ever seen in his life likely didn't equal a single handful of these coins.

Taking a deep breath, he shifted his gaze from the treasure to a nondescript corner of the hall. There, a protruding stone wall caught his attention.

Ignoring the glittering piles of gold around him, Yuuki strode purposefully toward the stone wall.

Within the Treasure Palace, the two most valuable items were the Wind Spirit and the Sword.

(T/N: Sorry for calling it the magic palace, it's been a while since I last watched Black Clover so I didn't catch that earlier.)
