"Stop sulking, mm?" Eugene chased his husband's face and peppered the man with kisses—anywhere but on the pursed lips. "You almost made our daughter suspicious."
Since Arthur was the type who couldn't hide his expression well, his frustration was apparent on his face as well as in his cooking—not too bad, just that it was fairly more bland than usual. Eugene had to tell his sharp-senses daughter that her daddy was thinking about work too much because of it.
Perhaps Ashley's decision not to tell her cousin about her plan was correct after all.
But it also made Eugene feel guilty about something. Something quite big, actually, which he hadn't been able to tell Arthur until now.
"It's just... annoying." Arthur swept his shoulder-length hair, which Eugene had prohibited from being cut. "Can't I at least stay nearby? I don't think I can work much while thinking about you talking to those alphas, anyway."
