I laughed, a soft and radiating chuckle, my hair fluttering behind me.
"You guys are fun to be with," I said and got their attention.
They stared at me, the setting sun basking a radiant light behind my head.
"Damn," Noah whispered.
After a while, we walked back to my apartment through the cool night air. The city noises seemed to fade away, leaving only the sound of our footsteps on the pavement.
When we finally reached my doorstep, the atmosphere changed. The playful bickering died out, replaced by a heavy, magnetic pull that made the very ground beneath me feel like it was vibrating.
I stood before them, the cool night air prickling my skin, but the heat radiating from the three of them was enough to keep me burning. They didn't move right away; they just stared at me, their eyes traveling over me in a way that made my pulse jump in my throat.
They were so gorgeous—wild beasts in tailored clothes. And I... I was the center of their world. Even if it was just for one day.
