Melody: GOTEN!!! *Melody's voice, filled with panic and worry, echoed through the room.*
Goten crashed into the wall—hard—but he pushed himself up immediately, shaking off the blinding pain. His ribs ached fiercely, but his will didn't waver.
Melody was already moving, her Obsidian form glowing brighter, burning with sheer fury. That thing had hurt her boyfriend. She rocketed toward it, both fists ignited with energy… and this time, she wasn't holding back.
Continuous times Goten's fists made contact with their target, but even more frequently, he found himself flying across the room. Over and over again, he had to drag himself up and out of the crushing debris.
Son Goten felt even worse than he looked: tattered and broken.
Each punch Goten threw was met with brutal retaliation. The guardian didn't just block; it punished. Every counter sent him crashing into stone walls or hard floors, his body taking more damage than he could recover from. Blood trickled from his lip, his arms were heavy and bruised, and exhaustion dragged at his limbs—but he kept fighting.
Melody saw it all, and her heart broke for him, but she couldn't stop attacking either. This thing had to go down—one way or another!
Melody's eyes burned with fierce determination. She couldn't let this continue; Goten was getting destroyed. With a ringing battle cry, she launched herself at the guardian one last time—not with punches or kicks, but with something far bigger. Gathering all her remaining Obsidian energy into a single, dense sphere, she hurled it straight at the monster's face.
The resulting explosion rocked the entire tower, the force of it shaking the very foundations of Hell itself.
...But the sight that shocked her to her core was the sheer reality that it had done nothing. The Titan was still standing.
Melody's heart dropped. The attack—her absolute strongest—had done nothing. The guardian stood completely unharmed, its icy blue eyes staring down at her with mocking superiority.
A low, guttural laugh rumbled from its chest, sounding like grinding glaciers.
Goten groaned as he pushed himself up once more, only for the same horrifying truth to hit them both: they were losing. Badly.
