Of their loyalty to me and our nation, there shall be no question nor doubt. I, and I alone, shall have the authority to stand in judgement over them. No other commander shall they have in battle nor in service. None shall bar them from me and Mondstadt, and none shall hamper or stall their mission. So it is decreed!"
- The sacred declaration made by the Anemo Archon, as stated upon the Eonian Edict.

One week had already passed since the battle with the Abyss Order's legion had concluded, and Artoria, who had become a celebrated hero in a span of days, had finally decided to emerge from her chambers after a well-deserved recuperation (mini-vacation).
Aside from a few bandages in her arms and in her face (a masterful move that Alter had suggested in order to show an illusion of battle injury), the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius appeared relativity fine, her posture was as regal and proud as ever!
Not only that, but her long waited appearance to the assembled local and international journalists had finally verified the rumors about her otherworldly beauty which had been circulating for the last 5 years outside of Mondstadt!
"Mo…Morris, are you see….seeing what, I'm seeing?" a charmed and trembling Liyuen reporter asked his now stupefied Fontainian colleague.
"N..no M..Ming, I can tell tha..that everyone in this room are seeing th…the same pe…person." the dazed Steambird reporter replied to his friend's inquiry.
"I…I don't even feel that I'm worthy in gazing upon such peerless beauty!"
In the eyes of the people who waited for days to have a chance of seeing her, Artoria's mythic beauty coupled by her legendary fighting prowess only intensified her legendary status even more! Heck, some of them had even began giving her additional names and titles such as 'The Peerless Valkyrie of the Wind' or 'The Lady who stood equal with the Gods'.
As per personal request, Artoria only allowed a few journalists who were present in the Wangshu Inn at that time to conduct a brief interview with her, provided that only a few shots of photography be involved. It was a small compromise she made in order to appease their insatiable curiosity, for the Grand Master herself was a bit of a camera-shy.
"Grand Master Gunnhildr! A pleasure to finally meet you in person! My name is Galanopoulo from 'The Steambird'! My colleagues and I would like to ask you a few questions about the recent events that had transpired, if you may permit us." An energetic reporter with a slightly pink colored hair and mustache asked with a barely contained enthusiasm on his face.
"I shall answer your questions to the best of my abilities, Monsieur Galanopoulo." Artoria said with a polite nod.
"Grand Master Gunnhildr, we have all heard of your legendary battle against the heretical god, as initially told by the adeptus known as the Conqueror of Demons! For the past few days, the people of Liyue and beyond were in awe of your incredible feat, with some calling it a feat akin to the heroes of old! So my question is, Grand Master. What are your thoughts on the matter?" The reporter asked.
"The only thought that I have is that the safety of the people, regardless of their nationality or origin, is of the utmost importance. I did what I did because it was the right thing to do." Artoria answered calmly.
"Grand Master Gunnhildr, I'm Gagnepetit, also from the Steambird! I'd like to ask, do you know what exactly was that monster you've fought a few days ago? And do you have any idea as to where it came from?" Another reporter, this time a woman with a long brown hair and a monocle over her right eye, asked.
Artoria sighed before answering.
"Honestly, I don't really know what that creature was. It was unlike anything I have encountered before."
Artoria then narrowed her eyes.
"However, what I'm certain of is that it reeked of vile and corrupted energy. I sensed no life within it, only hatred and a desire to spread chaos and destruction. As for its origin, I can only speculate for the time being. I'll leave the investigation to matters such as that to the local authorities."
Her answer were half-truths.
She knew that the creature was an amalgamation of several fragments of divine essences and countless of mortal souls tainted by the abyss, and that the entire ordeal was orchestrated by the Abyss Order. But blatantly announcing it to the world without any concrete evidence nor precautionary measures would only cause widespread and unnecessary panic to the public.
Something that Liyue certainly cannot afford at that moment.
"Are there any more questions?" Artoria asked.
"Yes Grand Master, one last question here please!" A Liyuen journalist raised his hand.
"We've heard from previous reports that you've sustained injuries from your battle against the 'dark god', as emphasized by the few bandages you are currently wearing right now. So my question is, why are you even out here, in the field, instead of continuing to rest and recuperate inside your chambers?"
Artoria looked at the journalist for a moment with an expression that can be described as a mixture of pride and compassion.
"My 'injuries' are nothing compared to the loss and devastation experienced by so many innocent civilians living her in the Bishui Plain."
She slightly tilted head down as if contemplating on the countless lives affected by the tragedy.
"Many had lost everything. Their food, their homes, their Mora and even some of their family members. I cared not for my own injuries for it is the people who were truly injured!"
"And as Grand Master, as a fellow citizen of this world, it is only right that I step-in in order to give atleast some sort of comfort for those who were affected by the calamity. Not to mention that it is also my responsibility to oversee and coordinate any relief effort involving my Order and my country."
Artoria paused for a moment before she continued.
"At this very moment, our current priority is not the diplomatic mission towards your nation's capital. Instead, we must focus on helping those in need!"
"I speak not only for myself, but also for my brave knights, who fought valiantly to defend the Wangshu Inn and its surroundings. My pride and dignity as a knight, as well as that of my entire Order, demands that we stay and help those in need, regardless of their nationality!"
Her answer greatly stunned the few journalists who were present at that time.
They had expected an answer filled with political rhetoric, a diplomatic speech aimed at improving her nation's image. Instead, they were given an impassioned speech that was both humbling and empowering!
They had thought that the leader of a foreign nation would prioritize her own country's interests above all else. Yet, here she was, a woman of immense power and influence who had just battled a god and survived, prioritizing the needs of others, even at the cost of her own well-being!
The journalists and those who had listened were in awe!
They had seen many leaders from all across Teyvat. Some were cold and calculating while others were reclusive and mysterious. But none of them had ever seen a leader quite as honest and indomitable as the woman who stood before them!
A leader, a knight, who not only fought for her people but also for others.
They collectively knew at that moment that a true hero…a true legend was present among them!
But that's not all, immediately after the interview session, the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, issued an order that all of her knights as well as all the personels (maids) who were in-charged of the supply convoy assemble at the front of the Wangshu Inn.
There, in front of everyone who had gathered to witness the scene, including the journalists who had just interviewed her, Artoria gave a rousing speech that would later be recorded and published in newspapers all across Teyvat!
"Brave knights of the West Wind! Children of Mondstadt! Today, we gather here not only as envoys of peace but also as harbingers of hope!"
Her voice, though gentle, carried an authority that commanded the attention of all who listened.
"About a week ago, this land was beset by darkness. Innocent lives were lost, homes were destroyed, and the very soul of this beautiful region was scarred. We saw it firsthand! We fought the darkness with all our might! And at the end we prevailed!"
She then pointed towards the devastated settlements in the distance.
"But the battle is not yet over, for the fight against suffering and despair continues. As knights, as bearers of the flame of chivalry, it is our sacred duty to not only protect our own people but also to extend a helping hand to those who are in need, regardless of where they come from!"
"We've brought with us supplies, not out of obligation, but out of the kindness of our hearts and the generosity of the people of Mondstadt! This is our way of showing solidarity with our friends here in Liyue!"
"I ask you now to join me, not as soldiers nor diplomats, but as knights of compassion! To bring hope back to the people who have lost so much! Let us show them that they are not alone in this dark hour!"
Her speech, coupled with her earlier statements, caused the journalists who followed her to exalt her and her Knights even more!
Her actions and her words, painted an image of a sort of strong yet benevolent savior who descended from a far to help the needy in times of great turmoil!
A Heroine who stands toe to toe with the heroes of old!
.....
For Artoria however, this entire shebang was nothing more but a carefully choreographed PR Propaganda crafted by both Alter and Sonnet back in Avalon!
True, she was doing it mostly out of kindness for all the people affected by the disaster but, the situation, as Sonnet had pointed out days earlier, also presented a golden opportunity to further strengthen her and Mondstadt's image to the international stage!
Artoria was hesitant at first. The suggestions coming from her two followers were, to say the least, a bit too manipulative for her taste.
She was not an actor but a goddess and a knight. She believed that her actions should speak for themselves and not be staged.
However, after some convincing from her Shade and trusty confidant, Artoria finally gave in.
Both Alter and Sonnet argued that their plan was a 'necessary evil' in order to protect her children and her nation from future threats!
By solidifying her legendary status, she would be able to deter potential enemies from even thinking of messing with her or her people.
The two also pointed out that the prestige it will bring for the Knights of Favonius, who for centuries had been mocked and belittled by the rest of Teyvat, will greatly boost their morale and inspire a new generation of young men and women to join their ranks!
And to her outmost surprise, the whole thing actually worked!
For in the upcoming days, newspapers and journals from all across Teyvat would be filled with articles praising her and her knights!
Mondstadt and the Knights of Favonius will soon enjoy an era of renewed prestige in the eyes of the many!
But that is a story for another day.
*****
After her speech, Artoria personally led her Knights, now clad in their gleaming armor, towards the nearest devastated village.
There she, along her knights worked alongside the Milileth and some of the local volunteers in distributing food, medicine, and other essential supplies to the weary and grief-stricken villagers.
She did not stay in the sidelines like a typical commander would. Instead she personally carried heavy sacks of grain, used her own magic to heal the wounded, and even comforted a pair of parents who had lost their children during in the attack.
Her unique presence and gentle demeanour towards the needy, further endeared her to the people whom she had help.
Even the most jaded of Liyuen citizens were moved by her actions and the journalists who followed her were no exception.
They documented everything they saw, from her exceptional kindness to the bravery of her knights, and sent their reports to their respective agencies.
For the next three days, Artoria and her group would continue their relief effort, visiting one village after another, helping anyone and everyone they could. And by the end of the third day, her name was practically on the lips of everyone in the Region!
But as the fourth day of their relief effort came to a close, Artoria decided that it was time for them to move forward with their original mission.
They had already done what they could for the good people of Bishui, and prolonging their involvement might cause some unwanted complications. Not to mention that the upcoming Rite of Descension was drawing closer by the day.
They needed to go.
However, there was still one last thing she needed to do before they can finally depart. A recompensation for the valiant actions of her knights, who've risked their lives for the safety of many.
Thus on the evening of the fourth day, Artoria summoned Captain Yuan to her quarters inside the Wangshu Inn. There she gave him specific orders that were to be carried out on the evening of the following day.
Her instructions gave the veteran captain quite a shock, especially after hearing what she had planned as a 'reward' for the men and women who had fought bravely during the battle!
Her proposal was unheard-of! A bold, yet brilliant move that could forever change the landscape of the world!
Yet at the same time however, the old captain felt so honored.
"YOUR WILL BE DONE MY ARCHON!" Said Captain Yuan as he solemnly kneeled before Artoria, with tears of joy streaming down his face.
A mortal like him could not fathom the very depths of wisdom behind his Archon's plan but he did not question it, for he knew that whatever she had planned, it will be for the good of the Order and for the good of Mondstadt as a whole!
Artoria gently smiled down at the Fourth Company Captain.
He and the rest of her 'Devoted Six' maybe a bit too fanatical at times, but she knew that their loyalty and dedication to her and to her cause were genuine and unbreakable!
She gave him a pat on the shoulder before sending him away to fulfill her orders.
"Oh, and one more thing 'Commander'. Until a worthy successor is found, the title of Captain of the Fourth Company and leader of the Outriders will still be yours. So make sure you find and train a worthy heir. That is an order."
"Y-YES MY ARCHON! AS YOU COMMAND!" Yuan replied, with renewed vigor in his tone.
As the good captain left the room to carry out her orders, Artoria then proceeded to make her final preparations for the ceremony that was to be held on the evening of the following day.
____________________
On the evening of the following day, 12 days since the failed invasion of Abyss Order, a subtle mystical spell had enveloped the entire premises of the Wangshu Inn.
To any regular mortal's eyes, the peace that surrounded the ancient establishment seemed perfectly normal. Guards from both the Knights of Favonius and the Millelith were standing by, their postures relaxed as they carried out their duties.
However, this peace was nothing more than an illusion brought about by a spell that was casted earlier that night by Artoria herself. A spell designed to conceal people and mislead any unwanted observers or individuals.
For in reality, all the members of the Mondstadt delegation, from the stalwart Honor guard to the busiest Gunnhildr household staff, were not present in Liyue at that moment.
Heck, they were not even in the world of Teyvat at all!
For earlier that evening, when the spell was first casted, they were all secretly transported back to the great halls of Tower of Beginnings in the realm Avalon, where a momentous and solemn ritual was about to begin.
The ceremony was to be held in the vast and opulent throne room found at the very heart of the Tower itself.
The Ehangwen Hall
One of the 'Three Diadems' or 'Three Chief Courts', the threethrone rooms that served as Artoria's seats of power and supreme authority representing her position as the rightful sovereign of all Mondstadt and Avalon!
Unlike thetwo other seats, the Ehangwen Hall is the only one located inside the Tower and is a masterpiece of divine architecture. A vast columnated hall with a dome so high that it mimics the firmament that covers and protects the world of Avalon.
During the day, the dome's enchanted glass allows natural light to pour into the hall, illuminating the entire chamber with a warm and radiant glow.
And during the night, a projected image of the three moons simultaneously illuminates the hall with their soft and magical luminescence.
At that very moment, the entire hall was packed by a sea of people.
Aside from the five Gunnhildr children, and little Lisa who were already fast asleep in their chambers at that hour, everyone of importance was present, standing in perfect attention and silence.
Crepus and Melisa, two of the three members of the Devoted Six who went with their sovereign in her journey, stood in profound reverence and awe as they gazed at the glorious sight of the Ehangwen Hall. With them were Elspeth along with the rest of the Gunnhildr house staff.
Alongside them were rows upon rows of Homunculi maids from Alter's 'Maid Legion' and hundreds of Enforcement Knights. They were all standing behind the great columns that lined up the hall.
Their presence was a testament to the growing power of the young realm and its sovereign.
In the dais leading to the throne itself, stood the three Lunar Sisters, goddesses and confidants to the rightful Queen of Avalon. Aria, Canon and Sonnet.
Each extrudes a divine presence of authority that commanded respect.
Along with them were the duo of Fou and Dvalin, the Divine Beasts of Avalon and Mondstadt.
Another being was also present, tuck in between the two loyal familiars.
Wearing a miniature blue coat and golden crown, he has an odd yet adorable feature that made him appeared to be both mechanical and organic at the same time.
He was the first of his kind to be born, molded by Artoria herself from the first dew drop of the Resplendent World Tree, and was gifted a piece of her power.
The leader of the Bangboos, and Artoria's bonded fairy companion, Excaliboo!
And nearest to the throne, standing guard over her liege, was a woman with the same face as the sovereign herself, but with a different aura.
Unlike the warm and benevolent air that surrounds the goddess seated on the throne, this woman radiates a cold and menacing yet loyal aura that sends shivers down the spines of those who dared look upon her.
She wore a black gothic dress that accentuates her intimidating presence while holding a golden ceremonial staff, the symbol of her authority.
She is the Shade of Destruction.
The Divine General of all Avalon.
Artoria Pendragon Alter!
And finally, and most importantly.
Seated high upon the Ivory Throne in her full ceremonial regalia...
Clad in a magnificent white dress with golden linings that radiates with divine luminescence.
Her long, blonde hair that was usually tied up in an elegant bun was now flowing freely down her back, like a golden waterfall, accentuating her otherworldly beauty.
A golden tiara, the symbol of her status as the supreme ruler of Avalon, sits gracefully on top of her head.
And in her right hand she holds the sword of the promise victory, forged from the inner sea of a distant world. Excalibur.
She is the Matriarch of the Gunnhildr Clan...
The Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius...
The Anemo Archon...
The Primordial Goddess of the Nascent Moonlit World...
Supreme Sovereign of all Mondstadt and Avalon...
Artoria Pendragon!
Everyone within the sacred hall stood ready, for the ceremony was about to begin.
Alter then strode forward, her high heels making sharp, echoing clicks against the pristine marble floor.
Once she reached the center of the dais, the Shade of Destruction raised her ceremonial staff and struck the floor three times.
CLANG!
CLANG!
CLANG!
The loud and resonating sound echoes throughout the grand hall, silencing all the murmurs and whispers that were present.
And then, just after a few seconds since the signal was struck, the great golden doors of the Ehangwen Hall opened, and from it came forth a sea of golden armored warriors.
Marching in perfect synchrony, were the 65 members of the Knights of Favonius Honor Guards, arranged in nine rows of seven, with three standard bearers at the very front.
They wore armor of unique golden design that radiated strength and power. It was a design never before seen in the history of Teyvat, with each set being adorned by an immaculate white cape.
*****
Forged by the Archon herself with the assistance of her Shade, through the usage of both the arcane arts and metallurgy, these golden armors were the embodiment of Artoria's promise to her knights!
To give them the very best she could provide as reward for their loyalty and valor!
The idea and subsequent design of these armors were based on one of the most beloved series of games she used to play back on Earth while she was still Emily.
A series of games that Alter herself was currently binging and re-playing inside her private chambers in Tower.
It was based of…. the Astartes Power Armor from the game series Warhammer 40,000!
However, unlike their in-game counterparts which were built through the use of science and technology, these new sets of armor were made using the art of Thaumaturgy!
Each set was meticulously crafted and forged using countless melted Mora spewed by the Holy Grail within the Royal Treasury of Avalon. Due to the nature of Mora being compared to as a sort of 'divine blood or essence', the alloys created from them were naturally imbued with miniscule amounts of divine power!
Etched deep within those metal plates were several groups of circuits crafted using the material known as Ether clumps. These mysterious byproducts born from the failed utilization of the fifth imaginary element known as Ether, were not only capable of condensing the miniscule amount of inert divine energy present within the armor into a stable built-in power core, but they can also siphon the mana present in the environment and turn it into usable fuel to power up the said core!
The power generated from the reaction between the divine energy inside the core and the siphoned magical energy from the outside, flows through the entire armor via its numerous circuits, empowering its various functions much like an artificial mana circuit!
The overall design of the suits differs from their in-game counterparts, making them look like bulkier and more robust set of medieval armor.
The helmet has various crucial functions. Firstly, it greatly protects the wearer from any fatal head trauma that could easily kill even the hardiest of knights. Secondly, it possessed several visual enchantments that allows the wearer to see clearly at night, as well as allowing them to see through magical-induced mists and illusions!
The helmet also has a filter system that prevents the inhalation of harmful toxins, poisons, or miasma, and allows the wearer to breath easily in various environmental settings.
The main torso armor along with the greaves, pauldrons, vambraces, and gauntlets were all enchanted to the highest degree. This setting grants the user the ability to easily shrug off melee weapon strikes, deflect projectiles and even resist cannon blasts, while simultaneously allowing them unprecedented mobility!
When worn together, these golden power armors enhance the wearer's physical capabilities manifold, allowing each knight to possess the strength equal to that of 12 men!
Their speed also becomes superhuman, allowing them to run at a swift rate that can match that of the finest warhorses!
But the most important feature of all, was the innate protection the armor provides against abyssal energy!
Both the armor along with its accompanying weapons, namely a longsword, a shield and aunique bolter-like firearm, were all imbued with a very small portion of power that originated from the very of Holy Light of Excalibur itself, making them capable of resisting and incenerating any substantial corruption of the abyss!
Due to their god given abilities, these outrageous pieces of equipment can be considered as low-grade Noble Phantasms on their own right, granting their bearers the strength and power to rival the lowest and weakest of Servants!
*****
Leading this formidable group of golden warriors was none other than their newly installed Commander, Zhencha Yuan, Captain of the Fourth Company and Leader of the Outriders.
The veteran warrior was also decked in his own customized golden power armor that possessed the same protection and benefits as the knights under him, only with more ornate design and a crimson cape attached to his back, a symbol of his premier rank among the new elite order.
Marching proudly at his right side was the newly elevated Knight, Varka, who though wore no armor, carried himself with an air of pride and purpose that befitted his status as the apprentice of the Grand Master.
Marching just a few paces in front of them were three golden armored knights, each carrying three important standards:
The Roaring Lion - the symbol of the Gunnhildr Clan.
The Two Swords embedded on a shield made of wings - the symbol of the Knights of Favonius and Mondstadt.
And lastly, the Three Golden Crowns surrounded by Five golden stars in a sea of blue - the personal royal standard of the Anemo Archon herself.
The entire procession marched with unmatched discipline and pride until they reached the very steps of the dais. Upon their arrival, they all kneeled down in unison with their heads bowed in profound respect and adoration.
Alter then strucked the floor again three more times with her staff before announcing her liege in a clear, and resounding voice.
"PRESENTING, HER MOST GRACIOUS AND DIVINE MAJESTY!"
"THE LIONESS OF THE FOUR WINDS!"
"THE SUPREME SOVEREIGN OF THE REALMS OF MONDSTADT AND AVALON!"
"YOUR RIGHTFUL QUEEN AND GODDESS!"
"ARTORIA PENDRAGON!"
Artoria then rose from her throne. Her regal aura and presence commanding absolute attention and silence all throughout the great hall.
She walked a few paces forward before she began to speak.
"My beloved people, I bid you all a warm welcome."
"Tonight, we are gathered here in these vaunted halls to honor these brave men and women who have placed their lives on the line for something greater than themselves."
"More than four weeks ago, before our journey had even started, 65 of the best and strongest knights from the First and Fourth Companies were selected to serve as my personal escorts."
"The knowledge of my true nature as the Archon of Mondstadt was personally revealed to them in order for them to get a better understanding of the true gravity of the mission, that this journey was not just a mere diplomatic exchange, but a formal ceremony where the fate of our nation would be weighed and decided."
Artoria then extended her arms outward, her emerald green eyes glowing with divine light.
"You brave men and women, each of you carried the soul of our beloved nation within you! You represent the values that we as Mondstadters hold dear! And you have shown those values in front of the entire world by bravely fending off the encroaching darkness in a land that was not of your own!"
"You showed the world, that the Knights of Favonius, after five hundred years of decay, had grown once more into a bastion of Chivalry! An Order that upholds the very essence of Knighthood!"
A wave of roaring cheers erupted from the crowd. The Gunnhildr household staff and the loyal homonculi maids who stood within the halls clapped and shouted with pride.
"It is only natural, that as your Grand Master and Archon, I reward each and every one of you for your courage and bravery you have shown. However, this will not be any ordinary reward."
"For you see, if the recent battle against the forces of the Abyss has taught us anything, it is that evil will appear when we least expect it."
"Teyvat is riddled with the taint of the all-consuming void itself."
"The Abyss Order schemes behind the shadows."
"In the far west, the nation of Natlan is engulfed in a near-constant war against the forces of darkness. Holding the western flank of the world!"
"To the north, the desolate plains of Nod-Krai are ravaged by the tainted souls of the Wild Hunt. Its warriors struggle to hold back the dark tide!"
"And now, with the recent attack, a new breed of warriors must take center stage! Warriors who will not only be the shining beacon of light that will defend and protect Mondstadt against the encroaching darkness but will serve as the inspiration for all Knights! The standard by which all members of the Knights of Favonius will strive to emulate and follow! The elite fighting force of our nation's venerable Order!"
Artoria's eyes scanned the kneeling knights before her.
"I've relayed my request to your Commander earlier, and I will repeat it once again. Though you now wear the armor which I had crafted and bestowed upon you, I will not force any of you to carry its mantle."
"This reward is both a gift and a solemn duty that only those who have the strength, and most importantly, the will, will be granted."
"I will not take away your freedom to choose, my dearest knights. So, if any of you wish to back down now and return to your post in your respective companies, you may do so."
Artoria then smiled at them, her expression gentle and motherly.
"You do not need to fear if you choose to go, for I will not be disappointed towards any of you."
"Let me tell you all, as your Grand Master, and as your Archon, I could not be more proud of having each one of you as my Knight."
Those sincere and gentle maternal words were too much for the 65 knights to handle. All of them, their faces hidden behind their golden helms, cried as they continued to kneel in front of their deity's throne.
It was the highest honor to have served her. The one being who had saved their crumbling order and nation five years ago.
But hearing her say those words reminded them of how they had not failed her or Mondstadt in their duty. That they had done the right thing. That their actions had made her proud of them.
They all felt like children gaining the approval of their beloved mother.
"WE... WE WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE YOU, OUR ARCHON! WE WILL SERVE YOU AND ALL OF MONDSTADT!" one knight cried out loud, removing his helm to reveal a face streaked with tears.
His conviction echoed across the halls, causing the rest of his brethren to pledge their most sincere allegiance to their god.
"Serving you, our Archon, is the greatest gift and honor we could ever hope for!" Commander Yuan shouted with conviction, slamming his gauntlet into his chest with a loud thud that resonated with the unbreakable loyalty found deep in his heart.
Seeing this, Artoria's smile widened. A look of utmost pride appeared on her immaculate face as she strode forward and proclaimed the solemn rite reserved for her most noble of knights.
"A knight is sworn to Valor."
"His heart knows only Virtue."
"His blade defends the helpless."
"His might upholds the weak."
"His words speak only Truth."
"His wrath undoes the wicked."
"The knowledge he holds must be shared to defeat ignorance."
"His skills will be taught to the willing."
"His temper shall be held in patience."
"He will give aid to those who need it."
"And he will ask for aid when needed!"
Artoria then allowed a small portion of her divinity to flood the entirety of the hall bathing it and everyone within it with a warm, protective glow that further inspired the hearts of all who were present!
"Rise my most noble of children!"
"Rise with the west wind that carries you all!"
"Rise and defend our freedom against those who seek to destroy it!"
"RISE, EONIAN GUARDS!"
In the midst of deafening cheers and thunderous applause that reverberated all throughout the Throne Room, all 65 ascended knights rose as one, officially taking on the mantle of their Order's elite unit for the first time!
They are the tip of the spear, pointed by Mondstadt and its Archon against the enemies that would dare threaten them!
They are the Elites of the Knights of Favonius!
They are the Eonian Guards!
Then, unexpectedly, all members of the Eonian Guard led by their Commander, Zhencha Yuan began singing the song that had been given to them by their Archon years ago.
It was the song composed by Artoria herself. A song that symbolized the rebirth of their Nation and their Order.
It was the song that was etched into the hearts of every members of the Knight of Favonius!
Lied der Ritter, the Song of the Knights of Favonius.
Their voices, now further amplified by the power of their new armor, filled the entire hall with a melody that was both powerful and haunting.
Liebling komm und tanz mit mir in dieser Nacht,
(Darling, come and dance with me in this night,)
denn wir ziehn für Mondstadt gar bald in die Schlacht!
(for soon we will go into battle for Mondstadt!)
Morgen ruft das Schwert mich fort, morgen braucht's Mut.
(Tomorrow the sword will call me away, tomorrow we will need courage.)
Doch die Freiheit ein heiliges Gut!
(But freedom is a sacred treasure!)
***
Liebling komm und tanz mit mir unter dem Mond.
(Darling, come and dance with me under the moon.)
Nord-und Südwind-Löwenzahn unser Kampf lohnt
(North and south wind dandelions our fight)
Gegen Tyrannei und Macht lass Lieder wehn
(Let songs blow against tyranny and power)
Unser Blut wird neuen Frieden sähen!
(Our blood will sow new peace!)
***
ALS DIE KINDER DES WINDES, WURD' FREI GEBOREN!
(AS CHILDREN OF THE WIND, WE WERE BORN FREE!)
Keinem Herrn sie zum Dienst, wir erkoren!
(We chose to serve no master!)
Wenn tyrannische Fesseln, endlich ziehen
(When tyrannical chains finally leave)
Für die Freiheit und Recht kämpfen wir!
(For freedom and justice we fight!)
***
Vorwärts, Herrschaft kommt und geht, mit den Fluten der Zeit
(Forward, rule comes and goes, with the tides of time)
Ewig wird es sein, Mondstadt, an Windes Seit'
(Eternal it will be, Mondstadt, at the wind's side)
***
Liebling, komm und tanz' mit mir, den letzten Tanz!
(Darling, come and dance with me the last dance!)
BIS DER FALKE FLIEGT, IM MORGENGLANZ!
(UNTIL THE FALCON FLIES, IN THE MORNING LIGHT!)
Bis der Falke fliegt, im Morgenglanz.
(Until the falcon flies, in the morning shine.)
There was a serene silence when the song ended with a solemn yet powerful final note that left everyone in the hall breathless.
The echoes of their voices lingered in the air as a testament to their unwavering loyalty and the unbreakable bond they shared with their homeland and Archon.
Even the audience who were watching couldn't help but shed a tear of pride, moved by the beautiful yet poignant song of the Knights. Even Alter, for all her stoic demeanor, had a small but genuine smile on her face.
Everyone gazed upon their Archon with reverence, but also with a joyful and contented smile. Their hearts filled with pride and hope for the future.
Artoria, on her part, felt... fulfilled. Never before in her multiple lives had she felt this powerful sense of contentment, like she had accomplished something truly remarkable and meaningful. Something that would resonate for ages to come!
She felt like she truly belonged here.
These are her people.
This is where she was meant to be.
This is her home. The ever distant dream she had always yearned for!
And in that moment…in an instance that lasted less than the blink of an eye, yet felt like an eternity, Artoria experienced a vision.
She found herself no longer in front of her throne room gazing upon her people, but instead, she was now standing all alone in a vast white endless realm.
The whole place felt intangible, like a dream yet at the same time, it was filled with an undeniable feeling of peace and serenity.
As Artoria began to look around, she noticed a multitude of swords of various sizes and designs embedded in the ground just a few feet away from her. Each emitting a faint yet familiar glow.
To her surprise she recognized some of them!
The Skyward Blade...
Wolf's Gravestone...
Song of Broken Pines...
Aquila Favonia...
Sacrificial Sword...
Harbinger of Dawn...
And so many more, dozens of them in total!
For reasons she could not fathom, she instantly felt a deep connection towards each of those blades. They were calling to her, asking her to remember them.
And in a blink of an eye, she instantly knew who these blades belonged to...
These were the weapons of her honored predecessors, the previous Grand Mastersof the Knights of Favonius!
Artoria calmly walked towards them and knelt. A goddess showing her respect to those who had laid the foundation of the path she had inherited.
"I'm... not doing too bad a job as Grand Master, am I?" she asked with a hint of anxiety, a rare display of vulnerability.
Her reply came in the form of a sudden gentle gust of wind that brushed against her cheek.
A playful and reassuring gesture…
"Heh.... I'll take that silence as your approval." Artoria said with a small smile.
She then stood up, her back straight and her demeanor dignified as she faced the spirits of her noble predecessors.
She placed her right hand over her chest in a solemn salute.
"Everything you all swore to protect with your lives.... it's all still here, safe and sound."
"The Knights of Favonius, Mondstadt... and the oath sworn by every knight. I'll protect them all with my life."
She smiled proudly, her emerald eyes shimmering with unwavering determination.
"You all need not worry my fellow Grand Masters. For our BELOVED HOME still stands."
She closed her eyes as she felt a sudden mist began to slowly cover that most sacred of ground.
"From here on out..." she whispered
"... I'll let the wind lead."
Then her vision came to an abrupt end, and she once again found herself in front of her throne room, surrounded by her beloved people.
Everyone was looking at her with expectant and hopeful expressions.
With a triumphant smile, Artoria unsheathed Excalibur and raised it high into the air, its divine light illuminating the entire hall!
"FOR MONDSTADT!"
Cheers and applause erupted with a force that reverberated across the hall as everyone shouted the same words with pride and joy in their hearts.
"FOR MONDSTADT!"

The day has finally come.
After almost two weeks of delay, brought about by circumstances outside of their control, the entire host of the Mondstadt diplomatic delegation was now ready to depart and resume their journey towards Liyue Harbor once more.
They all assembled outside on the main road in front of the Wangshu Inn in a manner similar when they had first arrived.
Four magnificent carriages with several more supply wagons were arranged surrounded by the entire host of the recently christened 65-strong elite Eonian Guards, each carrying the banner of Mondstadt. Their golden armors and gleaming halberds shining proudly under the light of the morning sun.
The entire entourage was further supplemented by additional personnel, as news of their departure had spread across the Bishui Region like wildfire.
Additional carriages carrying several journalists from various news outlets like The Steambird and The Feiyun Herald, along with their respective staffs, had decided to join them to document the rest of their journey towards Liyue's capital.
A small group of Qixing officials, along with a contingent of Millelith soldiers, had also decided to join the main group in their journey, as a sign of their gratitude for the services the Mondstadters had rendered to their nation during the calamity.
Even the resident historian of the Wangshu Inn, Lu Fu, had decided to join them, excited at the prospect of being able to personally document the diplomatic mission that would surely be recorded in the annals of history!
The entire convoy had now grown even larger compared to when they first set off back in Mondstadt, however their numbers pale in comparison to the massive crowd that had gathered around the Wangshu Inn to bid their heroes farewell!
Countless people from all across the towns and villages of the Bishui Region had heard that the heroes who had saved their home was about to leave. And in a spur of a moment, they gathered in droves to show their undying gratitude, creating a massive sea of people that filled the road for miles!
The entire scenery was filled with an atmosphere of celebration. People were cheering with some even throwing petals into the air as the delegation prepared to leave.
A few merchants were even seen selling what can best be described as 'Knights of Favonius memorabilia' to the crowd, such as small carvings of a lion and wooden replica swords, which were quickly bought by the locals.
Everything had lead up to that moment, and entire convoy was almost ready to depart...
They were only waiting for one more group of people...
Then the drums began to sound, as a group of Millelith soldiers who were standing guard near the entrance of the inn, suddenly stood in formation, clearing a path from the main entrance of the Wangshu Inn towards the frontmost carriage.
The main doors of the ancient inn opened, and out came the celebrated hero herself, Grand Master Artoria Pendragon Gunnhildr, wearing her usual elegant Grand Master attire. And beside her were her five precious children.
Loud deafening cheers erupted from the crowd as the Grand Master and her immediate family began to gracefully walk towards their carriage.
The Millelith guards who lined their path raised their halberds over the passing noble family in a solemn show of honor and respect.
Artoria smiled warmly at the cheering crowd, occasionally waving at the children and the elderly who were trying to get her attention. Her five children, however, had different reactions.
Jean and Beidou, the two eldest, had their backs straight with their heads held high, trying their best to copy their mother's dignified posture while waving shyly at the crowd.
The boundless duo of Bennett and Venti on the other hand, were waving enthusiastically! Their energetic and cheerful personalities shining through as they basked in the adoration of the crowd.
Little Barbara, meanwhile, simply held her mother's hand tightly, her small frame almost disappearing beside her mother's imposing figure, but still smiling and waving at the people as best she could.
When they finally arrived at the foot of their carriage, Artoria allowed her children to be the first to go inside, one by one, with Beidou being the last one to enter.
The newest Pendragon-Gunnhildr scion looked over the cheering crowds for a moment with an awestruck….and nostalgic expression.
To think that a few days ago, she was but just a common orphaned street rat living inside a ditch and stealing scraps in order to survive.
Never in her wildest dreams that her last act of pick-pocketing which occured on these very ground 2 weeks ago would led her to an encounter that would forever change her future.
It still felt like a dream for her, and it was all thanks to the woman who was now smiling warmly at her.
The only woman in this entire world who, after so many years of isolation and discrimination, had shown her what true love and compassion felt like.
Her Mama.
Beidou looked up at her mother with eyes filled with child-like adoration and gratitude.
Artoria, who saw the expression in her daughter's eyes, simply leaned forward and kissed her little head.
"Time to say goodbye to the past my Little Star. A new chapter of your life is about to begin." she whispered.
She then gently ushered her daughter into the vehicle, the little princess waving one last time at the crowd before disappearing inside.
Artoria then looked at the massive adoring crowd with a calm and serene smile…
And for some reason, the entire scene before her felt…familiar…
Like she's vaguely recalling a memory that had long since been forgotten.
'Hey, Blockhead, do you think that this fishing village of ours would grow into something wonderful someday?'
'Huh?' Artoria felt suddenly perplexed by the sudden and brief recollection. It felt hazy at best, yet the words were clear.
She tried to make sense of it, yet try as she might she couldn't get a clear picture of what it was.
It felt like Deja Vu.
Was it a memory from the past? One that was experienced by one of her aspects that now reside within her?
She was intrigued and rightfully so, yet at the same time she knew that it was not the proper moment to dwell on that lone fragment of her distant past.
For now, she must focus on the task at hand, and guide her group towards their destination.
Liyue Harbor.
But before, she could step inside the carriage herself, a small round teal-colored bird gently landed on her left shoulder and began nuzzling her.
The bird chirped softly as Artoria gently stroked its soft feathers.
"So you're coming along too Xiao?" she whispered.
The adeptus in disguise chirped in response. Happy to be at the side of his divine benefactor.
"I take that as a yes," she giggled.
With a final smile towards the adoring crowd, Artoria balled her right hand into a fist and raised it high into the air in a gesture of triumph.
The crowd's roaring cheers further intensified as a large number of them began chanting her name in reverence!
"ARTORIA! ARTORIA! ARTORIA!"
The Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius simply gave them a final wave before she went inside the carriage, and once the door to her vehicle had closed, Commander Yuan gave the order.
"Onward, to Liyue Harbor!" he shouted as the entire diplomatic convoy began their journey towards Teyvat's most prosperous port once more.

(His Majesty, Excaliboo)
- Formally known (and addressed) as His Most Pristine Majesty, Prime of the Dewdrops, and First of the Bangboos: King Excaliboo.
- Excaliboo is the leader of the Bangboos, and rule his people at his stout marble castle in Bangboo Town, Eridu.
- He is the first Bangboo to had been created, when Artoria took the first dew of the Resplendent World Tree of Avalon and fashioned it into a sentient ethereal creature.
- Excaliboo may look cute, but he is the strongest Boo ever born! Wielding a miniature version of Excalibur (his namesake) gifted to him by his creator! It is said that in a serious battle, Excaliboo can take on a being akin to a god or Archon in Teyvat.
- Though commonly haughty and prideful in personality, Excaliboo is very much attached to his creator whom he affectionately calls as his 'Ehn-ne-mamah'. The proud King of the Boos pretty much act like a happy overpowered puppy whenever he's with Artoria.
