The master bedroom looked like a charming war zone: the mattress covered with dresses, heels scattered everywhere, and a soft scent of perfume, body lotion, and sea breeze permeating the air. The lit lamps bathed the walls in golden light, while outside, the sound of waves mingled with the laughter of the three girls.
In one corner, Ashley leaned over the small minibar fridge, pulling out a chilled bottle of white wine. The label had gold lettering and a drawing of wildflowers.
"This should help us decide," she said with a conspiratorial smile, twisting the cork with an elegant "pop" that echoed through the room.
Eliza and Madison applauded between laughs, while Ashley carefully poured three crystal glasses. The wine sparkled under the light as if it contained moon dust.
"To impulsive decisions," Madison toasted, raising her glass.
"And to surviving them," Ashley added, before taking a sip that left her lips gleaming.
