Duke Tyler POV — The One Who Should Not Exist
Impossible. That was the only word that echoed through the abyss, over and over, grinding against my mind like broken glass.
Impossible.
I am the Dark Lord. Not a title given by men trembling in candlelit halls—no. I am older than their fear. Older than their kingdoms. Older than the name Nothingwood itself. I walked this land when it was still raw soil and screaming beasts, when magic was wild and unbound, when light had not yet learned how to fight back.
I am the darkness that crawled before history learned to write itself. And yet—I slammed my clawed hand against the obsidian floor of the abyss, the impact cracking stone that had never known fracture before. Black fire erupted outward, howling, tearing at the void.
