I stepped into the room because I figured putting him in a cell would not be appropriate for the proposition I had for him.

​He sat propped up and bound to a chair. His eyes snagged mine the moment I was in his line of vision. And just like always, Alpha Lucas's first son and Draven's elder brother had a face bereft of any readable expression.

​I kept my wits about me as I stalked toward his bound form, his eyes following my every move. I could not decipher what exactly he was thinking in the moment—there was neither wariness nor fear.

​"Hello, Elias," I greeted, folding my fingers in front of me to appear non-threatening, but I could tell that my brother-in-law was not convinced.

​He did not reply to my greeting, his eyes narrowing instead.

​"I apologize for the roughness of my Gammas," I said. "They were worried about what you would do."

​There was no reaction from him.
