Alpha Ryder's POV
"Get her to safety," I said to Luca, shutting the car door after putting Elodie inside. Luca nodded and slid into the driver's seat.
I cocked my gun and walked back to the annex with murderous intent. Some of Luca's men followed suit, each armed with guns.
"Where are they? Check over there," someone said, searching around. I stared at the spot where Elodie had once been and swept my gaze around the now-empty room.
They must be fucking with me.
"I found a secret exit!" someone yelled. I didn't waste time and went over there. Truly, there was a back exit, and it was unlocked.
I pushed the door open and went after them. I glanced around and saw that the road led back to the parking lot, the same direction where I had seen the car leaving.
Did they escape?
I dropped my hand and sighed softly, closing my eyes before opening them again as the anger slowly disappeared.
As long as Elodie is safe…
