Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: Will He Continue His Killing Spree?

Chapter 105: Will He Continue His Killing Spree?

The stern rebuke didn't faze Hatamoto Ichiro one bit.

He completely ignored it.

Unwavering determination and fearlessness defined him at this moment.

To honor his parents' spirits, he would spare no effort—absolutely resolute.

Even if it cost him his life, he wouldn't hesitate.

Seeing that reasoning was futile, Natsukawa stopped bothering. There was no point trying to talk sense into someone consumed by vengeance. Whatever—he probably wouldn't cause too much trouble anyway.

"Miss Yor, are you alright?" Natsukawa turned his attention to Yor.

From the very beginning, Yor's hand had been gripping his wrist tightly.

His wrist had gone visibly pale, his palm flushed red from restricted blood flow, and his entire arm was starting to go numb.

"It's okay, Yor."

Natsukawa placed his other hand gently over Yor's fair one, trying to comfort her.

He assumed Yor was frightened by Ireland's appearance.

After all, even with such incredible fighting ability, Yor was still a woman—fear was perfectly understandable.

I mean, look at Ran still hiding under the table with her butt sticking up in the air!

The warmth from his hand made Yor's heart flutter. She loosened her grip slightly but didn't let go completely.

"I'm just glad you're safe."

Yor said softly, scanning Natsukawa's body for injuries. Her intense scrutiny made Natsukawa somewhat uncomfortable, and he looked away.

"That assassin was terrifying." Yor patted her ample chest, still clearly shaken.

Natsukawa coughed twice and averted his gaze.

The size, the curves!

Definitely comparable to Thorn Princess. The two not only shared similar faces and heights, but their figures were practically indistinguishable.

Imagining Yor wearing the same dress as Thorn Princess, Natsukawa couldn't help but swallow.

There was hope for married life after all.

No wait—there was hope once they confirmed their relationship.

"It's alright. You were incredibly brave just now—you protected Anya and everyone else."

Natsukawa glanced up at the second-floor partition above, his brows furrowing slightly.

He hadn't expected Ireland to act so directly. That was completely unexpected.

Fortunately, Yor's combat prowess was off the charts. Otherwise, Anya would have been in real danger.

As for Ran...

Natsukawa couldn't count on her. She was still breathing heavily, clearly traumatized by Ireland's damaged disguise mask.

Apparently, Ran had been similarly frightened in the original movie timeline.

History really does repeat itself.

The Hatamoto family—nine members plus the butler, ten people total.

Now five were dead, Butler Suzuki had turned traitor, and Hatamoto Ichiro had vanished with a knife.

Only three remained:

Hatamoto Akie, Hatamoto Natsue, and Hatamoto Takeshi.

The newlyweds embraced each other, weeping bitterly.

Hatamoto Natsue had just come of age through marriage, only to watch her loved ones die one after another.

The traumatic scene dealt a devastating blow to her fragile psyche. Without even asking where Hatamoto Takeshi had been, she threw herself into his arms and sobbed.

A few minutes later, Mouri Kogoro and Conan returned to the restaurant.

"How'd it go?" Natsukawa asked.

Mouri Kogoro shook his head and sighed. "He got away. There are emergency escape boats at the stern. By the time we chased after him, he'd already taken off."

Natsukawa frowned.

He just left like that?

Ireland's performance on this mission was absolutely abysmal. And he still dares show his face back at the Organization?

Isn't he afraid Gin might just shoot him on a whim?

Gin wasn't exactly known for his restraint.

He'd eliminate undercover agents without hesitation, and he wouldn't spare incompetent operatives either.

Natsukawa strongly suspected the reason the Organization was riddled with moles was because Gin had executed too many legitimate members. Meanwhile, spies from various intelligence agencies were working overtime to climb the ranks and access more of the Organization's secrets.

The real operatives, on the other hand, spent their time slacking off, gossiping, and even engaging in internal conflicts like Pisco and Vermouth.

It was practically a comedy of errors.

Could Gin actually be Karasuma Renya's son?

Compared to everyone else, Gin's loyalty was somewhat unbelievable.

But getting back on track—

Natsukawa pondered for a moment before asking, "Uncle Mouri, are you absolutely certain Butler Suzuki left? Did you actually see him board the boat?"

The question left both Mouri Kogoro and Conan somewhat puzzled.

"Natsukawa, what are you implying? Are you questioning the great detective's judgment?"

"Judgment?" Natsukawa pressed. "Uncle Mouri, you didn't actually see Butler Suzuki board that boat. Isn't him leaving just your assumption?"

"The boat's already far away, and there was definitely a figure on it. If it wasn't him, what else could it be—a ghost?"

Natsukawa shook his head, uncertain.

Kaito Kid often pulled the scarecrow trick.

The sea was pitch black with extremely poor visibility.

Ireland could easily have propped up clothing or something similar and set the small boat's propulsion system to maintain a certain speed, making it appear from a distance as if someone had sailed away.

The reason for this deduction was simple—Natsukawa didn't believe Ireland would give up so easily.

Being exposed was already a catastrophic mistake. Ireland couldn't possibly allow the people on this ship to return to Tokyo.

The Organization's operations absolutely couldn't be made public.

Conan also realized something was off. He and Uncle Mouri hadn't actually seen the person's face.

They'd only seen the back of someone's clothing.

It could definitely be a fake.

But if Butler Suzuki had already been exposed, why would he still be on the cruise ship?

The answer hit Conan almost immediately.

The case wasn't over!

Butler Suzuki didn't intend to stop—he was planning to continue his killing spree!

"Uncle Mouri, how about we search all the rooms again?" Conan asked in his most innocent voice.

Thinking about the countless rooms packed onto this cruise ship, Mouri Kogoro felt exhausted, but he still nodded in agreement.

"Damn it!" Mouri Kogoro's fist came down on Conan's head.

Conan grimaced and crouched down, his face contorted in pain.

It wasn't that Conan had done anything wrong—Kogoro was just furious at Suzuki's actions. The prospect of searching the entire cruise ship again left him feeling suffocated and desperately needing an outlet. Conan just happened to be conveniently placed.

"But who exactly is this guy? He's definitely in disguise," Mouri Kogoro paused, then continued. "Could he be some kind of corporate spy?"

Natsukawa shook his head, indicating he had no idea.

"By the way, Uncle Mouri, if Suzuki's the bad guy, did he even call the police?"

Conan asked, rubbing his throbbing head while still managing to voice his concern.

His words were like a wake-up call.

Right! If he were the culprit, there's no way he would've actually called the police.

Everything that man said earlier might have been a lie.

"Ran! Go to the control room and find a phone to call the police!" Mouri Kogoro barked.

Ran nodded but hesitated, clearly still shaken from earlier.

Natsukawa glanced at Yor. "I'm worried about Ran going alone. Why don't you accompany her?"

Yor nodded in agreement. Besides, she might be more effective making the call herself. Which officer at the Metropolitan Police Department wouldn't give Instructor Yor face?

Unless they wanted to get demolished during their next training assessment!

"Anya wants to come too!" The little girl skipped after them cheerfully.

Natsukawa didn't stop her. With Ran and Yor together, he felt reassured.

"Mr. Mouri, Mr. Natsukawa, could you help me find Ichiro? He just left with a knife, and I'm really worried," Hatamoto Natsue said anxiously.

"Just leave him alone. It'd be better if he died!" Hatamoto Akie said sarcastically from the side.
