Chapter 83 - Chapter 82: Draco, Harry, I Want to Talk to You

After a quiet night, Albus Dumbledore summoned several professors at Hogwarts to the Headmaster's Office for a private meeting the next day.

No one knew what had been discussed during that meeting.

The only visible result was that after the professors left, the security at Hogwarts became even stricter.

This left many young witches and wizards confused, forcing them to behave more cautiously.

Especially Fred Weasley and George Weasley, who were well known for their love of pranks.

However, the most unusual change was Draco Malfoy.

In the past, whenever Draco saw Harry Potter, he would immediately step forward to mock him.

Whether he could win or not did not matter, he would never lose in presence.

But now, things were different.

Outside the Potions classroom, Draco stood with a book in hand, reading with full concentration.

When he passed by Harry, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger, he only glanced at them briefly before walking away.

This left the three of them, who had been prepared for confrontation, staring at each other in confusion.

It felt strange.

Normally, Draco would bring Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle to block their path and start mocking them, followed by sharp replies from Harry and his friends.

It had become a routine whenever Gryffindor and Slytherin shared classes.

I think Malfoy is planning something bad.

Sitting in the Hogwarts Library, Ron dropped a thick book onto the table and spoke lazily.

What could he possibly be planning?

Harry replied casually while looking at his wand.

His attention was elsewhere.

He was still thinking about the strange hissing sound he had heard before.

Since that day, however, the sound had not returned.

Everything at Hogwarts seemed normal again, as if that night had never happened.

Who knows, but it definitely is not anything good because he is from Slytherin.

Ron spoke without hesitation, his words filled with prejudice.

What good could come from Slytherin?

Hermione looked up at him with a mix of helplessness and amusement.

Ron, do not be so biased, Draco and his friends often cause trouble, but that does not mean every Slytherin student is the same.

If Slytherin is not bad, then why has it produced so many Dark Wizards, do you not agree, Harry?

Harry blinked and looked up.

What?

He had not been listening.

I was saying that Slytherin wizards are not good people, and Hermione thinks I am being too biased, but if Slytherin is a good house, then why are there so many Dark Wizards from it, including that person?

Ron's voice rose slightly, drawing the attention of nearby students and an irritated look from Madam Pince.

She had already picked up her broom, ready to drive him out at any moment.

At that moment, Draco entered the library with Crabbe and Goyle.

Ron immediately lowered his voice, though the hostility remained.

Malfoy is here, I bet they are looking for something dangerous.

The library was large, but Draco's destination was clear.

He walked toward the section containing history books, which required him to pass by Harry and his friends.

Because of Ron's comment, all three of them looked toward Draco.

As Draco passed, he suddenly stopped.

Harry and his friends immediately tensed, expecting mockery.

Instead, Draco looked directly at Harry, his expression unexpectedly serious.

Potter, there are some things I want to discuss with you, do you have time?

Then say it here, Malfoy.

Harry responded cautiously, already assuming Draco had some hidden motive.

Their first year experience had taught them not to trust him.

During the so called midnight duel, Draco had informed Argus Filch, leading to them being chased through the castle.

That memory had not faded.

Draco frowned slightly.

He knew exactly how they saw him.

But this time, he truly was not here to mock them.

After everything he had experienced inside Wizard Peace Theory, his perspective had changed.

He wanted to reconcile with Harry.

Unite those who could be united and oppose those who could not.

This was the principle he had learned.

And he intended to act on it.

However, reality was not cooperating.

The prejudice Harry and his friends held toward him was too deep.

It was almost impossible to change.

Draco raised an eyebrow and suddenly leaned closer, staring directly into Harry's eyes.

This is not a good place to talk, Potter, do you dare come with me, or are you afraid?

If persuasion would not work, then provocation would.

That was Draco's decision.

As expected, Hermione remained calm, but Ron immediately reacted, and Harry frowned.

We are not cowards like you, Malfoy.

Fine, what is it you want?

Harry gave Ron a brief glance before turning back to Draco.

Seeing Harry's reaction, Draco felt a sense of success.

Just as he was about to respond, Madam Pince approached with her broom, clearly displeased.

Sensing trouble, Draco prepared to leave with Crabbe and Goyle.

Before leaving, he looked at Harry once more.

Tonight at ten, meet me at the Astronomy Tower.
