He carefully examined it.
The robe was primarily purple, faintly glowing with a soft radiance. Suns and moons were embroidered across its surface.
The suns shone in golden-red, dazzling and sharp, adding a sense of authority to Dumbledore's presence and diminishing some of his usual gentleness.
The moons, however, were pale white, glowing softly like halos, balancing the intensity of the suns.
Together, they created a harmonious contrast.
After putting on the robe, Dumbledore's entire presence changed.
He now radiated both majesty and warmth, inspiring awe while still allowing others to feel the kindness in his heart.
This scene was not only witnessed by Tom, but also by the professors outside.
After their initial shock came an even stronger desire.
Every one of them wanted a robe like that.
Of course, it wasn't because of its power.
They simply wanted it because it looked amazing.
What ulterior motives could honest professors and students possibly have?
Aiden, hidden under the Invisibility Cloak, stared at the robe with clear longing.
That was an Artifact. Even a sealed Artifact was still an Artifact.
If he had the chance, Aiden would absolutely want one too.
But he wasn't the only one.
"Professor, it seems you also got what you wanted."
Tom Riddle spoke calmly, but his gaze never left the robe.
The greed in his eyes was impossible to hide.
"Magical items are ultimately external tools. They are far inferior to the power of human emotions."
"Tom, you have always been stubborn about this."
Dumbledore spoke calmly as usual, but he was holding the Elder Wand and wearing the Sun and Moon Robe.
His words sounded less convincing because of it.
Fortunately, Tom did not yet know the true nature of the Elder Wand or that it was one of the Deathly Hallows.
Otherwise, his sarcasm would have been far sharper.
Even so, a trace of mockery flashed in Tom's eyes as he let out a cold laugh.
"Arguing about this is meaningless, Professor."
"Let's move on to the next question."
"That would be more meaningful than debating who is right or wrong."
As he spoke, a quiet voice echoed in his mind.
Magic is power. The winner becomes king, and the loser becomes nothing.
Who will win is still uncertain, Professor.
Dumbledore understood this well.
If words alone could change Tom, then he would have done so long ago when Tom was still his student.
Things would not have ended up like this.
If it were Lord Voldemort standing before him, Dumbledore might have already drawn his wand and started a battle.
But the person before him was not the fully fallen Dark Wizard known as Voldemort.
It was still Tom Riddle.
A young man whose ideals clashed with his own.
Dumbledore was never rigid in his thinking.
If Tom could truly change, then the identity of "Tom" would have to disappear.
But that possibility remained uncertain.
Neither of them spoke further.
They both understood that words alone could not persuade the other.
This was a clash of ideals.
And neither of them would abandon their beliefs so easily.
Especially Tom Riddle.
