Chapter 28 - Chapter 27: Ron’s Heartfelt Confession, Draco’s Painful Rejection

"No, Mr. Weasley — your tone must be absolutely sickeningly sweet!"

Aiden looked at the card and shook his head.

He spread his hands, a gesture full of helplessness.

Ron's face burned scarlet.

He had only just managed to choke out those cursed words the first time.

It had taken immense courage.

If he had to do it again—

He couldn't.

"I understand, Mr. Weasley."

Seeing Ron's embarrassment, Aiden decided to help him out. He waved his hand, and the [Live Broadcast Q&A System] directly took control of Ron's body.

Ron had just sensed something ominous when his whole body trembled.

His vision swayed.

Then he saw Draco.

A strange magic washed through his mind.

It made him genuinely want to confess his love — as if Draco Malfoy was the person he had always secretly longed for.

Draco's face, which Ron normally found punchable, suddenly looked… attractive.

Handsome, even.

At this moment, Ron felt as though he had actually fallen in love with Draco Malfoy.

"Draco…" he whispered, voice soft and filled with tenderness no one had ever heard from him before.

Draco instantly broke out in goosebumps.

He stared at Ron's gentle expression, and real fear flickered in his pale eyes.

Aiden's mischievous streak surfaced, and with a wave of his hand, a glowing pathway appeared between their two high platforms.

Ron's eyes brightened.

He stepped onto the shimmering path of light and began walking toward Draco.

Draco's panic spiked. His breathing hitched.

Everyone's eyes were glued to them — even Harry's.

But when Harry looked at Ron in this possessed state, something strange flickered in his expression.

"Draco, I've liked you for a long time."

"You— don't come any closer!"

Faced with Ron's magically amplified confession, Draco was filled with deep regret.

He should never have mocked Weasley.

He had brought this nightmare upon himself.

"No, Draco, you can't push me away. I love you."

"From the first moment I saw you, I knew I was destined for you."

By the time Ron reached the end of the glowing path, he was already standing directly before Draco.

Draco's face was white as snow. He collapsed to the floor, gripping the railing for dear life.

He watched Ron step closer, eyes full of affection.

Terror filled him; his whole body trembled.

"I—I don't like you!"

"It's okay, Draco. Time will prove my love."

Pain and melancholy appeared in Ron's eyes.

Even so, he delivered the final line:

"Draco, I like you. Will you be my boyfriend?"

He had to say it — otherwise the punishment wouldn't end.

"No! No, I don't want to!" Draco yelped, scrambling back as if Ron were a Dementor.

Ron's loving gaze vanished.

His eyes slowly cleared.

Realization hit him like a Bludger.

His entire face froze.

Before he could say anything, Aiden waved his hand and sent him back to his platform.

"Very good. A lovely confession — but sadly, you were rejected."

Aiden clapped, regret in his voice.

He wasn't alone. Many Hogwarts students — even Dumbledore — wore expressions of amused pity.

"What a shame," Wood sighed dramatically to the Weasley Twins. "If I were a girl and heard Ron confess like that… I might have said yes."

His sympathetic tone was completely ruined by the gloating in his eyes.

If Gryffindor was shaken with laughter…

Slytherin was on the verge of collapse.

Most tried to hold it in, but seeing Draco trembling on the ground, overwhelmed and humiliated…

They cracked.

For a moment, all four Houses erupted into laughter.

"Aiden, I never thought I'd see something like this," Cedric said, grinning. "Draco in a little dress was already incredible, but Weasley and Malfoy like this? Truly artistic."

"Don't worry, Cedric," Aiden's lips curled, his gaze becoming strange.

"I believe next time, you'll definitely appear in the Q&A space."

Cedric's smile vanished instantly.

"No — no, I'm sure there are plenty of talented people at Hogwarts. I don't need to be involved at all."

He rubbed his chin, eyes darting nervously.

Aiden casually slung an arm around his shoulders.

In that moment, all awkwardness between them disappeared entirely.

He had officially blended into Hogwarts life.

"Alright, next person — please answer the question."

Aiden looked toward Lockhart.

Draco was still in shock, trembling and clinging to the railing, so he clearly wasn't in any condition to fight Lockhart for the chance.

Lockhart thought the same.

He straightened his sleeve, preparing to speak.

"I—I'll go first!"

Someone cut him off.

Lockhart's smile froze.

This was déjà vu.

First it was Weasley interrupting him.

Now it was Malfoy.

Draco stood up shakily, clutching the railing, still traumatized by the "confession."

"Very well, Mr. Malfoy."

Lockhart kept smiling politely.

With what Draco had just gone through, Lockhart was certain the boy couldn't possibly choose the correct answer.

If he did—

"I choose C. Lockhart's most proficient spell is the Memory Charm."

Lockhart's smile vanished instantly.

His stare toward Draco deepened.

Did Draco know something?

Or was he simply guessing…?
