"How do you look normal?" Rassera asked as she came into the dining hall for breakfast with an unequal length of hair.
"Didn't the dormitory of those blessed by the spirit of fire have a hazing ritual?" Esmira asked as her hair stood tall on her head in an awkward way.
"How can you be fine? " Maria asked as she walked with mud that solidified on her feet and even Lorraine looked unhappy as vines wrapped around her from her waist to her arms.
Trying her best not to chuckle at how ridiculous they all looked, Princess Marina said nothing as she sipped her tea.
Flashback
Princess Marina woke up instantly when she heard whispers on the outside of her door. Carefully going over to Falorin's bed that was in the middle, Princess Marina tried to wake her up before giving up and moving over to the other side of the room to wake Fawn. Preparing herself to fight another war if Fawn had the same sleeping habits as Falorin, Princess Marina took a deep breath and positioned herself but the second Princess Marina tapped Fawn on the shoulder, Fawn's eyes snapped open and Princess Marina had to cover Fawn's mouth with her hands so she wouldn't scream.
"Calm down," Princess Marina said soothingly as she tried to calm Fawn down.
"Someone's at the door." Princess Marina said before nodding to the door and Fawn stilled in fear.
"Help me wake Falorin." Princess Marina whispered to Fawn before she crept towards Falorin's bed and together with Fawn shook the life out of her.
"What?!" Falorin said, opening her mouth to yell but Princess Marina quickly muffled her yell with her hand.
"There is someone at the door!" Princess Marina and Fawn said at the same time and Falorin looked at the door in shock.
Acting like she wasn't scared, Falorin said "They can't come in." in a firm tone.
"We each dropped a drop of our blood on the handle so no one can get in without our permission." Falorin said with confidence and Fawn nodded but Princess Marina remained unconvinced.
Grabbing her frog that spits out gel like sticky substances, Princess Marina faced the door as if waiting. Seeing her so serious that someone could break in, Falorin and Fawn each carried their own items for protection and stood before the door like Princess Marina.
"I hope that your intuition is wrong." Falorin said as she pointed what looked to be a small box at the door.
"Me too." Fawn said too as she pressed a bottom on a small circle that transformed into a larger circle twice the size of a fist.
"Me three." Princess Marina said as she readied herself with her frog.
As the three roommates waited in front of the door, a strange hum was felt in the dorm and all doors in the first year block swung open. Preparing themselves immediately, Princess Marina, Falorin and Fawn did not wait for the three intruders to step in fully before attacking.
The first person to attack was Princess Marina as she commanded her frog to spit out gell like sticky substances at the intruders. The second to attack was Falorin. Yelling into the box she was carrying, Falorin's voice became three times louder and the intruders used their hands to block their ears. The last person to attack was Fawn. Letting out a battle cry, Fawn tapped something on the circle and three circular balls shot precisely at the intruder's forehead causing all three intruders to fall on the floor unconscious.
"What's going on here?" Lysandria asked, as she stepped into the room startled by the commotion she heard from the corridor.
Seeing her colleagues unconscious on the floor, Lysandria said "You guys are no fun." with a humph before walking away.
Flashback end
"Those fiends attacked me when I was asleep!" Lorraine said in outrage.
"Who attacks someone when they're sleep?" Lorraine said before stuffing a bit of boiled potatoes in her mouth with much difficulty.
"They used the wind to stick my hair up in all directions!" Esmira complained
"They cut my hair unevenly." Rassera cried as she looked at her hair from her small hand mirror.
"I thought the hazing ritual skipped me until I wore my shoes and my feet became like this!" Maria said as she wailed.
