"According to satellite thermal imaging, Banner's cabin is in the valley two kilometers ahead."
Krillin adjusted the micro-display on his wrist, the compound bow resting across his knees.
"The military's last search was three days ago. He should still be there."
Adam turned his gaze from the window: "Are you sure about this? Angering Hulk isn't a wise choice."
"Fury's orders." Natasha turned the steering wheel, and the vehicle entered a dirt road almost overgrown with weeds.
"And we have you, don't we? The former strongest human, Mr."
The car was silent for a few seconds. Adam's lips twitched slightly: "That title is long gone."
The vehicle suddenly lurched, and a dilapidated wooden cabin appeared in the forest ahead, with wisps of white smoke rising from the chimney.
"We're here."
Natasha killed the engine, and the three of them checked their gear in unison.
Krillin slung his quiver over his back, while Adam simply adjusted his jacket; he never needed weapons.
The clearing in front of the cabin was overgrown with weeds. A squirrel, startled, scampered up a pine tree.
Natasha took the lead, gesturing for the other two to keep their distance.
She knocked gently on the wooden door. A flurry of panicked noises came from inside.
"Who is it?" Banner's raspy voice came from behind the door.
"Dr. Banner, this is Natasha Romanoff from S.H.I.E.L.D. We mean you no harm; we just want to talk."
After a long silence, the door cracked open.
Banner's haggard face appeared in the opening, his eyes bloodshot behind his glasses: "S.H.I.E.L.D.? What's the difference between you and the military?"
Natasha offered a reassuring smile: "A big difference. We're not here to arrest you. We're here to offer help."
Banner's gaze swept over the two people behind her, lingering on Adam for a few seconds: "Bringing armed personnel to offer help? How thoughtful."
"Necessary precautions, Doctor," Krillin shrugged. "We all know your friend inside isn't the most even-tempered."
Banner's brow furrowed further, but he still stepped aside to open the door: "Five minutes. Then you leave."
The interior of the cabin was simple but tidy, with handwritten formulas and diagrams plastered on the walls.
A small generator hummed in the corner, powering a few rudimentary instruments.
Banner gestured for them to sit, while he leaned against the table, keeping a safe distance.
"Let's get straight to it, what do you want?" Banner asked directly.
Natasha leaned forward, "A research position, safe housing, and, when appropriate, assistance, or to join the Avengers Initiative, like us."
"Assistance?"
Banner looked at them calmly, "You want me to become a weapon."
"No, a precaution."
Adam suddenly spoke, his voice low, "Beings like Superman are increasing. The world needs balance."
Banner's pupils narrowed slightly: "You've seen him? The guy in the black suit, flying around?"
"Fury has," Clint interjected. "He's also become Stark's partner. So Fury thinks it's time to build his own insurance."
Banner's fingers unconsciously tapped on the table: "To be honest, I'm not very interested.
Even if I agree, how do you guarantee the military won't come after me again? General Ross considers me his white whale."
"Fury has his methods," Natasha said confidently. "The President has specifically authorized that all cases regarding you have been sealed."
Banner suddenly stood up and paced back and forth in the small space: "You don't understand, this isn't a legal issue. Hulk is getting harder and harder to control. Last time, I almost killed a squad of soldiers."
His voice began to tremble. "I can't risk it!"
Adam keenly observed that Banner's breathing was becoming rapid, and his fingers began to twitch involuntarily – a premonition of transformation.
"Doctor, calm down." He stood up, making calming gestures with his hands.
"Deep breaths."
But it was too late.
Banner bent over in pain, an unnatural green hue spreading beneath his skin. "Go... you must... leave..."
The air inside the cabin seemed to solidify.
Natasha and Krillin quickly retreated, while Adam stood in front of them, azure energy beginning to flow around him.
"Roar!!!"
With a deafening roar, Banner's body swelled and contorted, his clothes bursting apart as the Hulk emerged!
The wooden cabin disintegrated under the immense force, scattering wood chips and shards of glass!
Natasha backflipped out of the danger zone, and Clint had already nocked an arrow: "Dr. Banner! Calm down!"
But what answered him was a massive green fist, accompanied by a howling gale!
Bang!!!
Adam blocked with both hands, taking the punch head-on, compressing the air to its limit, and emitting a piercing bang!
A barrier of ethereal blue antimatter energy formed in front of him.
Boom!
The moment the two forces collided, a shockwave spread out in a sphere. Trees within a hundred meters were uprooted, and the ground cracked with spiderweb-like fissures!
Adam's feet sank deep into the ground, and he slid back more than ten meters before barely stopping.
"This guy's strength...it's not right!" Adam gritted his teeth, a hint of shock flashing in his eyes.
"Roar!!!"
Hulk roared at the sky, his muscles swelling at a visible rate, his veins bulging, and the rage in his eyes almost turning into a tangible thing!
He stomped the ground fiercely, causing the ground to collapse. His huge body charged toward Adam like a cannonball!
"Watch out!" Natasha shouted from afar.
"Hulk is out of control!"
Clint quickly fired several tranquilizer arrows, but the arrowheads couldn't even pierce Hulk's skin, and were deflected.
"Damn! His defense has increased again!"
In the center of the battlefield, Adam clashed with Hulk again!
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Each collision of fists and feet would produce a loud noise, and the shockwaves crushed the surrounding rocks into powder!
Adam's antimatter energy continuously bombarded Hulk, but could only leave shallow burn marks, which were instantly repaired by Hulk's self-healing ability.
"How is this possible?!" Adam was shocked.
His antimatter attack was enough to destroy a small hill, but it barely affected Hulk!
Hulk grew stronger with each blow, his rage multiplying his power exponentially!
Bang!
A heavy punch broke through Adam's defenses and slammed into his chest!
"Cough!"
Adam flew backward, crashing through three trees before finally stopping.
"Adam!" Natasha exclaimed, glancing at Hulk but hesitating to check on Adam.
Hulk didn't give chase. Instead, he stood in place, pounding his fists against his chest and roaring to the heavens!
His muscle density was constantly restructuring, and his skin began to take on an unnatural deep green hue, even faintly glowing red!
"He's evolving..." Krillin's expression was serious.
"Anger has pushed him beyond his limits!"
Adam quickly stood up, wiping the dust off his body, his eyes blazing with fighting spirit.
"This guy's strength is abnormal; we need to deal with him quickly."
He took a deep breath, and the antimatter energy within him began to operate at its limit, enveloping his entire body in a ghostly blue light!
"Whoosh!"
Adam instantly broke the sound barrier, leaving a trail of sonic booms in the air as he charged straight at Hulk!
Boom!
This time, his fist landed squarely on Hulk's jaw, the immense impact staggering Hulk backward!
But Hulk quickly regained his footing and retaliated with a haymaker, slamming Adam into the ground!
Bang!
The earth trembled, and dust billowed!
Adam leaped from the crater, engaging Hulk in a furious exchange!
Their speed was too great for the naked eye to follow; only two afterimages, one blue and one green, could be seen colliding repeatedly within the forest!
Trees fell in rows, and rocks turned to powder; the entire forest groaned under the strain of their battle!
"We have to do something!" Natasha said anxiously.
Krillin quickly changed arrows. "I'll try the Sonic Arrow, maybe it can disrupt him!"
He drew back his bowstring, aiming at Hulk's back.
Whoosh!
The arrow shot out, exploding with a piercing sound wave just as it neared Hulk!
"ROAR!!!"
Hulk clutched his ears in pain, his movements momentarily faltering.
Adam seized the opportunity, landing an uppercut that sent Hulk flying!
"Good job!" he shouted.
But the next second, Hulk's anger escalated again!
"Hulk... angry!!!"
His roars continued, his eyes turning completely blood red, his muscles swelling to the point of almost bursting!
"Not good! He's even angrier!" Clint's expression changed drastically.
Hulk stomped hard on the ground, and the ground undulated like waves, the shockwave sending Clint and Natasha flying!
Adam quickly flew over and caught the two, but Hulk had already charged over like a storm!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three consecutive punches completely shattered Adam's defenses, and his antimatter barrier shattered!
"Ugh!"
He was sent flying again, crashing into the mountain wall, where he was buried by the rubble.
Hulk didn't stop. He leaped high into the air, clasped his fists together, and slammed down hard in the direction where Adam had fallen!
