Vision hovered in place, the Mind Stone on his forehead faintly glowing.
His mechanical face showed no expression, but his voice carried a deep weariness.
"The outer shield can hold for another 15 minutes."
Vision looked up at the palace dome. "Carol Danvers is using energy blasts to attack the shield's weak points."
Xiao Han walked to the window, his super vision piercing the walls, and saw the scene outside.
The zombified superheroes were furiously attacking the shield, and the energy barrier had already begun to crack.
"What do you plan to do?"
Vision asked, "I can sense that, with your power, you can completely leave Earth."
Xiao Han turned to Vision, "My goal is to save the people here."
"But, there is no life here anymore, only zombies."
Vision fell silent, looking at the crazed Wanda outside, lost in thought.
"I will give you the Mind Stone, you leave," Vision finally decided.
"You will die," Xiao Han looked outside, understanding why he was doing this.
"Wanda can't come back, I have nothing left to miss," Vision shook his head, his gaze fixed on the distance.
Vision's gaze pierced the shield, staring at the figure he once cherished.
Wanda floated in the air, Scarlet Chaos Magic twisting and churning around her, her once lively eyes now only possessed a bloodthirsty crimson.
Her red hair danced in the energy storm, and the corners of her mouth were stained with fresh blood.
"Goodbye," Vision murmured softly, his voice barely audible.
He raised his hand and opened a tiny gap in the shield.
"This is my own choice, you must leave." Vision looked at Xiao Han and spoke his last words.
The Mind Stone was removed, and golden light flashed at Vision's fingertips for a moment before he threw it towards Xiao Han.
As the stone left his body, Vision's vibranium form rapidly lost all color, turning a lifeless pale gray.
Zombies howled, roaring as they charged towards Vision.
Vision slowly flew out of the shield. Without the stone, he was like a puppet with broken strings, and he fell heavily to the ground in front of Wanda.
The zombie heroes immediately surged forward like a tide, surrounding him.
Xiao Han stood before Wakanda's shield, silent for a moment.
A drizzle began to fall outside, raindrops rustling down.
He slowly raised his hand, golden magical runes appearing on his fingertips, and gently slashed.
"Crack!"
The shield instantly shattered, the energy barrier cracking like glass.
Zombie Wanda suddenly looked up, her scarlet eyes locking onto him, Scarlet Chaos Magic raging around her.
Zombie Captain Marvel hovered in the air, her body burning with distorted energy flames, emitting a low growl from her throat.
Further away, countless Zombie heroes, Zombie soldiers, and even mutated beasts all caught the scent of living people.
"Roar!"
Zombie Wanda was the first to attack, her Scarlet Chaos Magic surging forward like a tidal wave, twisting and tearing the space before her!
Xiao Han's eyes turned cold, and his body vanished in an instant, reappearing behind her with a punch!
"Bang!"
A magical shield appeared behind Zombie Wanda's body, and the shockwave cracked the ground!
She immediately reacted, and the Chaos Magic transformed into countless blood-red blades, piercing towards Xiao Han like a storm!
Xiao Han didn't dodge, his eyes blazing with golden light.
"Zzzt! Boom!!!"
Heat Vision swept across the area, instantly vaporizing all the magical blades!
Taking a step forward, he broke the sound barrier, rocketing directly in front of Wanda. He used a single hand to grab her by the neck and slammed her into the ground!
"Boom!!!"
The entire Wakandan royal palace ruins shook!
Zombie Captain Marvel seized the opportunity, diving down and unleashing a fist of pure energy straight at Xiao Han's back!
Without turning around, Xiao Han retaliated with a backhand elbow strike.
"Crack!"
The Zombie Captain Marvel's sternum instantly caved in and she was sent flying, crashing through several buildings!
But the next second, more Zombie heroes swarmed forward!
Xiao Han clasped his hands together.
"Boom!!!"
A golden magical barrier instantly unfolded, repelling all attacks!
Following that, his eyes shone intensely, with solar flare-level energy gathering within his body.
"It's over."
"Boom!!!"
A pillar of searing white light erupted from him, sweeping across the entire battlefield like divine judgment!
Zombie Wanda screamed in the light, her body rapidly carbonizing! Zombie Captain Marvel tried to resist with energy, but was instantly vaporized!
The Zombies roared and charged, only to turn to ash mid-air!
The entire land was consumed by the light, and all the Zombie heroes were wiped out, reduced to nothing by the solar flare's purification!
When the light faded, the ruins of Wakanda were a scorched wasteland.
Rain fell, a gentle drizzle washing over the blood-stained ground.
Xiao Han hovered above the mountain of corpses and sea of blood, his black armor faintly glowing in the darkness.
The golden S Symbol on his chest was still prominent under the dim sky.
Beneath his feet lay countless shattered corpses, and the embers of magic were slowly dying in the distance.
Not far away, Captain Marvel's head rolled on the ground, her eyes still retaining a bloodthirsty madness.
Vision's body was torn to shreds, unrecognizable, his gray mechanical frame covered in bite marks.
Xiao Han watched it all in silence.
He had come to this world and witnessed the deepest despair.
He had failed to save anyone, and even Vision's final choice was only to let him leave.
"Sir, the global scan is complete." Jarvis's voice was particularly clear amidst the rain.
"No human life signs have been detected anywhere in the world."
Xiao Han silently raised his hand, the Mind Stone left by Vision glowing faintly yellow in his palm.
He stared at the Infinity Stone, his super vision penetrating its internal structure, seeing countless energy veins flowing within it.
[Ding! Task completion rate 100%] [Rewards obtained: Growth Points] [Random reward draw in progress...] [Obtained: A complete set of Kryptonian Technology.]
The system's notification rang in his mind, but Xiao Han didn't feel any joy.
He looked up at the gloomy sky, raindrops sliding down his cheeks.
"Is this what they call saving?" he murmured, his voice almost lost in the rain.
[Yes, Host.] the system replied calmly.
[Sometimes, saving means ending the suffering.]
Xiao Han was silent for a moment, his gaze sweeping over the ravaged land.
Countless corpses lay on the ground, devoid of life.
Xiao Han didn't look again.
He soared into the sky, breaking through the clouds and heading straight into outer space.
The Earth spun beneath his feet, the azure oceans a stark contrast to the gray zombie continent.
"Purify."
Xiao Han clasped his hands together, the Mind Stone hovering before him. Golden magical runes rapidly spread through the void, forming a giant magic array that encompassed the entire Earth.
"Solar Purification!"
BOOM!!!
A golden beam of light descended from the cosmos, piercing the atmosphere like divine judgment!
Countless Zombies abruptly looked up, some Zombie superheroes attempting to resist.
But the light of purification was like a force of nature, rapidly destroying their defenses, their bodies turning to ash in the light.
Across the entire surface of the Earth, all Zombies wailed as they dissolved in the light.
City, forest, ocean.
Everything was cleansed by pure energy.
When the light faded, Earth fell silent.
Xiao Han floated in space, looking at the charred earth below.
[Purification Complete.] [Mission Complete.]
He put away the Mind Stone, turned, and opened a portal, disappearing into the depths of the universe.
