Chapter 42 The Revenge of Nabhgadh and the Shadow of the Void

The silence in the vast training ground of Nabhgadh was so deep that even the breaths of the statues standing there seemed made of stone but amidst that silence there was only one person whose blood rushing through his veins was roaring like boiling lava Akshansh in whose hands rested the Aakash Danda sword today was not a witness to ordinary iron but to the sacrifice of his parents and six months of accumulated rage He slowly lowered the tip of his sword towards the ground and suddenly a blue lightning tearing through the sky fell directly upon the tip of that sword The lightning did not merge into the sword but spread like a net over Akshansh entire body the circles around his eyes were dark but celestial lightning danced in his pupils He took a long breath that felt like the roar of a wounded lion and with heavy steps moved towards the palace corridors where the flames of the torches on the walls began to tremble and extinguish in fear as he passed

In the main chamber of the palace the Chief Minister face had turned pale when he saw those terrifying eyes of Akshansh Without stopping Akshansh gave only one command Chief Minister sound the conch of war today I will water the vermilion soil of Nabhgadh with the black blood of Andhak Void Aksh and Kalpit who were standing far away listening to the footsteps of this devastation immediately ran to him and Aksh with trembling hands grabbed his shoulder trying to stop him Akshansh you know that Nirag is no longer the friend we knew he is now the Void himself fighting him is erasing yourself But Akshansh looked at him as if he were a stranger and roared that for six months he had been hearing every night those screams of his parents that were buried in the Veera Ghati and now he would not stop until he ended that demon hidden inside Nirag

The scene outside the palace was no less than a catastrophe as soon as the war drum sounded the walls of Nabhgadh trembled with the roar of thousands of soldiers Akshansh mounted his chariot and behind him Aksh and Kalpit spurred their horses forward In their hearts was an unknown fear but also an unbreakable loyalty to their friend As soon as the army reached the border of Prakashgadh the atmosphere there suddenly became cold and suffocating as if poison had dissolved in the air in place of oxygen From the highest peak of the palace a black shadow flew and hovered in the air like a vulture it was Nirag in whose eyes there was now neither the brilliance of Agni nor the coolness of Jal only an infinite black void Nirag raised his finger and hurled a ball of black fire towards Aksh seeing which Aksh immediately placed both his hands towards the ground and pulling thousands of iron particles from within the earth created a huge magnetic dome that upon colliding with that black fire turned crimson red and began to melt but he did not give up

The battle had now taken a monstrous form Nirag drew energy like black blood from his hands and mixing it with the moisture present in the air transformed it into thousands of icy spears that began piercing the chests of Nabhgadh soldiers With every falling soldier Akshansh rage was reaching the seventh sky He spun his sword in a circle in the air and created such a cyclone that engulfed all the dust and fire of the field and bolts of lightning began to jolt Nirag Void body Then Kalpit using the peak of his mental powers transformed the entire battlefield into such an illusion that in every direction Nirag began to see thousands of Akshansh Enraged he began unleashing his black powers in all directions but every strike was going in vain When Nirag in defeat concentrated all his energy into a single point and prepared the largest sphere of Vinaash Jwala seeing which it seemed that everything would now turn to ash suddenly the flow of time seemed to halt

In the middle of the field an extremely intense blue light exploded and a mysterious masked woman appeared whose gait held such dignity as if she herself were some secret power of nature She merely extended her right hand towards that blazing sphere and that terrible energy froze in the air as if someone had turned a flowing river into stone She looked towards Akshansh for a moment and then with lightning speed moved towards Nirag her strike was so precise and powerful that Nirag impenetrable armor cracked in a single blow and he fell miles away like a broken meteor Before Akshansh and his companions could understand anything the woman enveloped all three in her circle of mysterious energy and in a moment brought them back to the safe courtyard of Nabhgadh By the time their vision cleared that woman had already jumped from the high palace wall into the dark abyss below
