Arriving at the nearest base, Moon didn't bother entering the facility. Instead, he quickly identified a newcomer among the awakeners—easily recognizable by his youthful appearance and basic equipment that marked him as inexperienced.
"Hey, you there. Do you want this Direhorse?" Moon asked directly, approaching the young man who immediately looked startled by the unexpected offer.
The newcomer studied Moon warily, his expression guarded. He'd undoubtedly heard cautionary tales about naive awakeners being approached by strangers with ulterior motives.
Narrowing his eyes suspiciously, he responded, "I mean yes, but what's the catch? I'm not interested in anything shady or dangerous."
"No catch whatsoever," Moon replied bluntly. "Do you want it or not? I don't have time to waste on lengthy negotiations."
After a moment of internal debate, weighing the risks against the obvious benefits of acquiring such an expensive mount, the young man made his decision.
