Chapter 57 - Injured Peter

Bant didn't know what Peter had run into.

Or rather, he simply didn't care.

Most of the danger Spider-Man faced happened around his family. Right now, Uncle Ben and Aunt May were both well protected, so Bant had no intention of interfering too much in Peter's business.

The kid was growing up. He should be allowed to go out and learn the hard way.

At the moment, Bant was working overtime with Connors to develop the new serum. As for the phone project, once he had the sample in hand, he handed everything off to Harry.

The hardest technical hurdle was already solved. The rest was just buying a production line and running advertising. If Harry couldn't handle something that simple, then he really was useless.

During that time, Felicia came to the company looking for him a few times. And after he went home at night, Mary Jane often dropped by as well.

But overall, Bant was still so busy he barely touched the ground, mainly because after turning into Little Qibing, he had to stand on the lab bench just to talk to Connors.

A week passed like that, and the serum was finally completed.

He contacted Norman.

Then he discussed the concrete sales plan with him.

"First, we launch the basic version. It can rapidly treat injuries and force wounds to close." Bant took out a bottle of pale green, crystal-clear liquid and spoke softly.

The basic version could make even some otherwise fatal wounds heal during the time the effect was active.

For example, a cut several centimeters deep could close within minutes under the serum's influence.

A drug this powerful was guaranteed to cause a sensation.

Bant had originally wanted to weaken the effects further, but considering he was releasing it jointly with Osborn, if the results were too mediocre, it would be hard to achieve the expected outcome of reviving the Osborn Group.

"The balance is perfect right now. With Osborn taking the heat up front, we can withstand the pressure."

Norman nodded. "For patients on the brink of death, you can only use strong medicine!"

"The upgraded version will come out a few months later," Bant said.

In a few months, it would not just be the upgraded version. There would also be a nerfed version, the lowest grade Bant originally wanted to sell, with effects that only worked on ordinary minor injuries.

But in his view, the profit it brought him would be no lower than the other versions.

Because it had a special additional effect: scar removal.

In fact, every version reduced scarring, but for most people, no one would buy an expensive serum just to remove scars.

"Looks like you planned this a long time ago," Norman said with appreciation.

Bant's plan was extremely detailed, even split into multiple phases. Even without the Osborn Group shielding Primus from the storm, it probably wouldn't be a problem.

Thinking about it that way, the joint release benefited the Osborn Group far more.

Norman even felt the shares he had given earlier might have been too few. Just as he was considering whether to give more, Bant spoke again.

"Thank you for your help, Uncle Norman. Primus really needs time right now."

He was telling the truth.

These days, Bant had also been paying attention to Tony Stark.

Justin Hammer had already launched his attack on Tony. That hearing was fully public, so Bant naturally saw the outcome.

The plot of "Iron Man 2" had begun.

Bant needed to accumulate enough capital in a short time to swallow Hammer Industries. Otherwise, if he missed this opportunity, he would realize that opportunities like this were… way too common.

To be honest, in the Marvel universe, companies that self-destruct like Hammer Industries were everywhere.

For example, Advanced Idea Mechanics in Iron Man 3, and the Life Foundation all the way in Washington…

There were too many.

But those were still far off, while Hammer Industries was right in front of him.

The Osborn Group's biggest use was saving Bant time.

However, he remembered something else and warned Norman, "Once the basic healing serum goes on sale, the original Osborn board members will probably realize this was a trap you set."

Bant felt that once those people discovered they had been deceived, that the shares they dumped at rock bottom shot up again, they would not take it lying down.

"They deserve it!"

Norman didn't care. He took the serum and left Primus.

From here on, Bant could let go.

"Finally, I can rest for a while," Connors said lightly.

He was no longer disabled. His newly regrown right limb was still immature, but he stared at it all day, and it even turned into him deliberately trying to feel pain through it.

As if only that could prove the arm truly existed.

"When your wife and kid see you again, they probably won't even dare to recognize you," Bant said with a smile.

"Still too early," Connors shook his head.

If they were unlucky, the police might tail his wife and child for years.

"At least now we can get you a fake identity. After all, Connors doesn't have two hands."

That was not difficult, especially for Eunice. For her, it was almost effortless.

Before long, a new identity was born: "Curtis Shalu."

Curtis was Connors' original name. And Shalu represented "cells."

Connors' situation was just a minor interlude. Bant planned to take a vacation in the coming days.

Otherwise, after a bit more time passed, school would start again.

"Should I take a trip to New Mexico?"

On the way home, Bant thought about it.

He had already realized this universe resembled the movie universe, but it wasn't exactly the same.

At this point in time, Thor's hammer seemed to have already been thrown onto Earth by Odin.

Bant wasn't very interested in the hammer itself. Unless he had magic stronger than Odin's, or could simply lift an entire planet, there was no way he could pick it up.

In short, he wasn't qualified.

He understood that perfectly well.

But he was very interested in Thor himself.

It might sound strange, but Bant really did want to capture the genes of Asgardians and Frost Giants.

At this point in time, there weren't many aliens he could realistically run into. Setting aside the second and third Asgardian princesses, the only ones left were probably Skrulls.

But running into Skrulls was not that easy.

"I remember among the 5YL non-canon alien heroes, there's one who obtained Asgardian genes, the Cosmic God."

In the setting, Cosmic God possessed all the abilities of a normal-state Asgardian.

He could fly, and he could control cosmic energy.

The potential ceiling of Asgardian genes was still very high, and the gene the little watch obtained would be further optimized into the healthiest version.

Thinking of that, Bant couldn't help but feel tempted.

But just as he was about to go home and tell Uncle Ben and Aunt May that he was planning to travel, Peter interrupted his plans.

At that moment…

Peter, covered in injuries, dragged the already unconscious Mark and stood helplessly inside Bant's room.

His face was full of exhaustion, like a child who had completely panicked.
