As soon as they'd made it back to campus, Alcione pulled him aside, his eyes wild with untapped energy that made his stomach bottom out.
Lucien knew from the crazy look alone that he was in for a rude awakening. He sighed, rubbing his temples as he already felt a headache coming on.
"What is it?" He finally asked once they were safely away from people.
Alcione had found a spot near a corner of the academy's entrance. They promptly ignored the curious looks from their fellow members.
The man stared at Lucien in that annoying way he did whenever he found something interesting and couldn't wait to do everything in his power to get deeper until he was satisfied.
"What's your deal with the Anchor?" he asked without beating around the bush.
Lucien blinked. This wasn't the question he was expecting, though he should've, as Alcione kept throwing him some looks after he and Kenneth had left the boardroom.
