Chapter 47 - Ep 47

The next morning, Hong Yi woke before the sun rose.

There was no hesitation, no softness left in his expression. The warmth he reserved for Xiamen and Haoyu did not follow him outside the door.

Today was not about love.

It was about justice.

By the time Hong Yi arrived at the company, the executive floor was already tense. Employees whispered nervously as he walked past, his presence sharp and commanding.

Inside the conference room, lin chengwei was already seated.

Calm. Arrogant. Certain of his position.

He leaned back in his chair when he saw Hong Yi enter, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"You called an early meeting," Lin chengwei said casually. "Is there a problem?"

Hong Yi took the seat at the head of the table.

"Yes," he replied. "There is."

Before lin chengwei could ask more, the doors opened again.

CBI officers walked in.

The smile on lin chengwei's face vanished.

"What is this?" he snapped, standing up. "Do you know who I am?"

The lead officer ignored his outburst and placed a thick file on the table.

Lin chengwei,we are here to conduct a formal investigation into your financial activities.

Screens were turned on.

Numbers appeared. Transactions flashed. Offshore accounts, forged documents, shell companies, illegal fund transfers—every crime laid bare.

The room fell into dead silence.

Lin chengwei's face turned pale.

"This is fabricated!" he shouted. "Someone is framing me!"

Hong Yi finally spoke again, his voice cold and steady.

"You framed yourself."

Another file was opened.

Attempted murder. Kidnapping. Threats. Witness statements.

Lin chengwei staggered back into his chair.

"You… you wouldn't dare," he muttered, eyes bloodshot. "I'm her father."

Hong Yi stood.

"You stopped being her father the moment you tried to kill her," he said flatly.

"And the moment you laid a hand on my son."

Handcuffs came out.

The sound echoed loudly in the room.

After hours of interrogation, faced with evidence he could no longer deny lin chengwei finally broke.

"I admit it," he whispered, his shoulders collapsing. "I did everything."

The officers escorted him out.

No one stopped them.

By afternoon, the news spread across the city.

Lin chengwei was officially arrested. All accounts frozen. Removed from the company. Stripped of every title he once used to control others.

Hong Yi stood alone in his office as dusk fell.

There was no satisfaction in his chest.

Only peace.

He picked up his phone and sent a single message.

I'm coming home.

Because justice was done.

And now—

He only wanted to see Xiamen and Haoyu. He want to go home to spend time with his family...
