["Whatever may be your wish or that I, Vincent Abellux, can provide - will be given to Orsted, the dragon god. In exchange, I request your aide for my rise to the throne and your continuous friendship with the Empire."]
Chisha Gold looked at Orsted's face, finding him to be still expressionless - he felt his heart drop.
Chisha continued reading: ["I shall not bore you with pointless words. If mister Orsted agrees to the deal in his power as one of the seven great powers, I will build a colosseum in celebration of our pact. Where people who are deemed worthy could challenge you."]
'This guy....' Orsted raised his brows.
Vincent Abellux was able to predict what Orsted was seeking by his prior announcement to the challengers. Of course, he wouldn't know of Orsted's quests, but rather think of him as a battle hungry being.
'I'm surprisingly very interested now. But before that....' Orsted raised his hands for Chisha to stop.
"If he wished to win my help, he should have come by himself instead of sending you two." Orsted coldly struck them down with an irritated frown.
Chisha's expression grew a little stiff, but he still maintained a calm face: "The current emperor is reaching the end of his life, all the heirs to the thrones are being watched closely....."
"Stop." Orsted squinted his eyes sharply.
"The amount of cordiality is lacking and your actions are lacking."
Chisha Gold clamped his mouth shut.
"Err, I had a feeling this would go well, I guess not?" Cecilus rubbed his head.
Chisha Gold took a deep breath and gazed at Orsted with determination.
"Please tell us the price for your cooperation, Lord Orsted." Chisha showed no intention of backing down easily.
"....Since the one you serve isn't here, you will have to make up for it with your own action. I am willing to give you a chance, I won't make it unreasonable." Orsted continued in his tired voice.
'Before anything else, first let me complete my special quest.' Orsted added internally. This was the reason he led the conversation to this point.
"Make me use both of my hands in a fight, that will be my requirement for you. The two of you can come at me together if you wish." Orsted signaled for them to come at him anytime.
"I see..." Chisha understood Orsted's action immediately. It wasn't that he was not interested in their proposal, it was instead about whether they were worth listening to or not.
"I like that! I've gotta do that someday too." Cecilus's eyes shone with fighting intent.
Roswaal moved to the side without a word, finding Ram to be hurrying towards the area - only to stop after seeing the two guests.
"That...The guest left as I prepared the tea, Lord Roswaal."
"Ah~ Don't worry about it, Ram." Roswaal's eyes keenly watched the fight that was about to start.
"Will Miss Zarestia also participate in the battle?"
"No." Orsted answered to Chisha.
"Then is killing-"
Chisha asked a few more questions to understand what they were getting into.
Clarification of the rules of the game - what laid behind the demand for clarification was clear. It served as a sign that the decision was to accept the game, and its content.
"This is perfect, I was bored since there was no major development after joining the prince. I've been feeling a little restless since the tablet of the seven great powers activated...."
Cecilus donned a sword with fine craftsmanship. He was currently wearing Vollachia empire's simple leather armor that soldiers used - unlike his future signature kimono from Kararagi city-state.
With Cecilus striking a pose, Chisha took out a hand fan with a bladed edge too. His strength was above average and lacking even compared to the current Cecilus. He excelled in strategies and building the so-called 'reservoires' instead.
Cecilus made the first move, his body turning into a haze as he moved.
Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!
Orsted's hand vanished momentarily as he parried the dozens of strikes that Cecilus was able to perform within a span of a second.
After the frontal attack, Cecilus made use of his flexible speed to launch attacks from multiple directions.
Clang!
Sparks flew everywhere.
"Weird, So weird. I don't feel like my attacks are connecting at all, instead...." Cecilus looked at his hands that grew weaker with every clash.
Through Imperfect, Orsted could use both water god style and sword god style with his bare hands.
Hence, Orsted didn't just parry with [Flow] - he returned the attacks of his opponents back to them.
'He doesn't seem to care though.' Orsted thought seeing Cecilus continue to attack without any hesitation.
From the viewpoint of others, Cecilus was more like a blur than a human, appearing similar to a ghost.
"Not good enough!" Orsted held Cecilus's sword and swung him towards Chisha Gold, who was very close to launching his surprise attack.
Cecilus quickly maneuvered himself to slide through the ground.
Clenching his teeths, Chisha attacked alongside Cecilus next, he swung his fan towards Orsted's free hand.
Swoosh~
Orsted parried it away easily, even while fending off against Cecilus.
'Cecilus is growing stronger slowly while fighting me, he doesn't care that both of his hands' bones are broken? He definitely has potential...' Orsted still didn't feel any pressure. He could predict their moves like an open book - even if they suddenly grew a hundred times stronger, the result would be the same.
"Enough." Orsted grew serious, after parrying the sword - his claws moved beyond the speed of sound instantly.
His fist connected multiple times on Cecilus's body, sensing multiple bones being crushed through his hand.
Cecilus body spun around in mid-air helplessly, before crashing into the arrays of trees.
The next moment, Orsted's fist hit Chisha's guts without missing - his opponent couldn't even follow his movement.
Silence~
Both his opponents were down without much suspense. Even Orsted felt a little bored, he had thought Chisha might come up with a brilliant plan on his part. But his expectations were too high.
'Not much is known about my strength too, I guess.' Orsted contemplated.
[Ding! You have completed the special quest! The rewards can be collected any time.]
Healing both of them, Orsted simply told them they were free to challenge him anytime.
'I should let them win soon....' Orsted decided.
He had come to understand something in the past three months. Defeating the same challengers a second or third time didn't count in his chain quest. There was no point in beating around these two poor bastards anymore.
