Chapter 437 - Chapter 435 It's Completely Different From What I Imagined When I Was A Child

The next morning, Mai Ge got up early to prepare the ingredients, then woke Amy up for breakfast and took her to Chaos Academy, where she would be attending Crassus's class.

"Teacher Crassus, may I add this purple crystal to my magic wand?" Amy asked Crassus as soon as she entered the magic room, holding a small purple crystal in her outstretched hand.

"This is just an ordinary purple crystal. We added the eye of a level nine magical beast, the Purple-Gold Flaming Bird, to your magic wand. You can project your vision through it and see everything within a 5 km radius. It's much prettier than this little crystal." Crassus smiled and shook his head, putting the small crystal back into Amy's hand. He smiled and said, "The magic wand is almost finished. I can give it to Amy tonight."

"But this isn't an ordinary amethyst. This is a gift from Jessica to Amy, the most precious thing her father gave her." Amy said earnestly, looking up at Crassus.

Crassus stared into Amy's eyes for a moment, his smile growing even more benevolent. He patted her head and nodded with a smile, saying, "Alright, then Master will put this precious crystal on the magic wand as well."

"Thank you, Master Crassus!" Amy exclaimed happily, turning to Mai Ge and asking, "Daddy, wouldn't Jessica be very happy if she saw this?"

"Yes, I think so." Mai Ge nodded with a smile, giving Crassus a grateful look.

"Arthur should be arriving in Chaos City today, along with some little ones from the Mage Tower. They're ostensibly here to congratulate me on accepting a disciple, but those old fogies definitely don't have good intentions. They're probably here to cause trouble and challenge Little Amy." Crassus put away the amethyst and said with a smile again.

"Challenge me? Master Crassus, does that mean some bad guys want to fight Amy?" Amy looked at Crassus with curiosity.

"Lord Crassus, Amy has only been learning magic for a short time. If she encounters a powerful mage, she might be in danger, right?" Mai Ge said with some concern. It seems that Crassus is not very popular in the mage tower, and even when he is taking on apprentice, there are people who try to sabotage him.

"You don't need to worry about that. If those old guys had any shame, they wouldn't have sent their sixty or seventy years old second generation disciples. Otherwise, the Mage Tower would lose face across the entire continent. As for those teenagers, let them come as they please. Although Amy has only been learning magic for a little over ten days, but she is still my apprentice. Dealing with them shouldn't be a problem." Crassus said, waving his hand dismissively.

"Don't worry, Daddy, Amy will definitely defeat them." Amy said earnestly to Mai Ge, her little face full of confidence.

"Yes, I believe Amy can do it." Mai Ge nodded with a smile. Since Crassus had said so, he felt relieved. With him by her side, what could those little brats possibly do?

As Mai Ge left the magic academy, he ran into Haider right at the school gate.

"Mr. Mai Ge, what a coincidence! I didn't expect to meet you again. I was planning to visit you today, but I didn't expect to run into you here. Do you have some time? I have a few questions I'd like to discuss with you about that steam engine." Haider's eyes lit up as he approached Mai Ge.

"Dean Haider, I'm sorry, I have to go back to cooking now, so I might not have time to discuss this with you. If you have any questions, perhaps you could come over when the restaurant is closed. Although I might not be able to offer any useful insights, but I'd still like to hear what you have to say." Mai Ge smiled at Haider, whose balding hair was somewhat disheveled. It was clear that he hadn't had a good night's sleep lately, as his eyes were quite bloodshot.

"Oh, alright then. Of course, I can't let it interfere with Mr. Mai Ge's business. I don't have classes this afternoon, so I'll come to your restaurant this afternoon." Haider nodded with a smile, not insisting.

"Okay, goodbye." Mai Ge nodded and walked out of the school.

Riding his bicycle slowly towards the restaurant, Aden Square wasn't too bustling in the morning. Many shops along the street were still closed. Sleepy-eyed pedestrians either hurried along carrying breakfast or strolled leisurely, seemingly dozing off as they carried their meals.

The square, paved with greyish-white marble, gleamed in the morning sun. The evergreen trees planted there remained vibrant, undiminished by the arrival of autumn.

Everything was quiet and peaceful.

"It's completely different from the otherworld I imagined when I was a child, but it's fine this way." Mai Ge smiled as he rode his bicycle, occasionally greeting customers who recognized him on the road.

Mai Ge stopped his bicycle in front of the restaurant and greeted the long line of customers. Besides Yabemia and Sally, Dix was also waiting at the entrance, holding a document.

"Mr. Mai Ge, I'm here on the orders of the City Lord to deliver the lease agreement to you. After signing this agreement, you will have the right to use this vacant lot in front of the restaurant." Dix said with a smile, his gaze lingering on the bicycle for a moment.

"Okay, Lord Dix, please come in." Mai Ge opened the door with a smile, letting Dix enter first. He hadn't expected the City Lord's Mansion to be so efficient, delivering the contract so early in the morning.

"Boss Mai actually rented this vacant lot in front of the restaurant. Is he planning to expand it?"

"Is he planning to open an open air restaurant? Eating while sitting on the street seems a bit strange, doesn't it?"

"What does it matter? As long as I can eat Boss Mai's delicious food, I'd be happy even if I had to squat in front of the restaurant to eat."

"Speaking of which, isn't the important thing that Boss Mai actually managed to rent this vacant lot in Aden Square from the City Lord's Mansion? This has never happened before! Boss Mai is definitely not an ordinary person."

The customers queuing outside the restaurant were buzzing with curiosity, all wondering what Mai Ge was planning to do.

"Is the boss really planning to open an open air restaurant? Just because I mentioned it a few days ago, he's really going to rent this space in front of the restaurant from the City Lord?" Yabemia looked at Mai Ge, who was parking his bicycle, her eyes filled with gratitude.

"Mr. Mai Ge, you can take a look at the lease agreement first. The lease term is three years, one copper coin per year. However, we hope Mr. Mai Ge will keep this contract confidential, because the City Lord's Mansion currently has no plans to open the Aden Square area for commercial use, so the open air restaurant will only be your restaurant." Dix took the document out of the file folder and placed it on the table, smiling at Mai Ge.
