"Huff..."
After finishing the last piece of fish, Fu Ke Si slumped onto the table, his clothes soaked with sweat. He felt as if all his strength had been drained away, he couldn't even hold his chopsticks, like a salted fish that had lost its dreams.
"This taste... how can it have such a powerful impact... it's... it's... making me lose control!" Fu Ke Si propped himself up and looked at Mai Ge, who was standing smiling at the kitchen door. He narrowed his eyes slightly. "Could this guy have deliberately poisoned the food to get revenge for what happened at the restaurant entrance?"
Regardless, Fu Ke Si felt completely paralyzed, he had never felt so weak even in battle.
"Double the extremely spicy, check it out. Most people couldn't handle it, even a dragon couldn't." Mai Ge looked at Fu Ke Si, who was in tears, with a smile on his lips, feeling quite pleased.
"Wow! This is so delicious! Give me another large Spicy Grilled Fish! Extremely spicy, please! It would be great if you could also bring me a barrel of liquor. Boss, do you sell liquor here?" Hai Wei De slammed his chopsticks on the table and asked Mai Ge with an excited look.
"Sorry, the restaurant doesn't sell drinks right now." Mai Ge shook his head. He actually agreed with the idea of grilled fish with beer, but the system didn't give him any brewing recipes.
"Oh, that's a pity." Hai Wei De said a little disappointedly, but then his eyes lit up as he glanced at the menu next to him. "By the way, I saw something about ice cream on the menu. Is it made of ice? Can I have one?"
"The ice cream isn't made of ice, but it is indeed icy. There are four flavors to choose from. I wonder what flavor the customer would like?" Mai Ge shook his head and looked at Hai Wei De, whose flames hadn't yet subsided. Just imagining such a big guy with his whole body on fire eating ice cream was incredibly impactful.
"Any flavor is fine with me. I just want some ice to soothe my throat first, then I'll have another serving of Spicy Grilled Fish." Hai Wei De waved his hand dismissively.
"Okay, please wait a moment." Mai Ge nodded and turned to go into the kitchen.
"Blueberry ice cream, please enjoy." Yabemia quickly came out with an ice cream and carefully handed it to Hai Wei De.
"This is ice cream? It looks a bit small, it'll be gone in one bite, but it's definitely icy." Hai Wei De took the ice cream and held it up to examine it.
The intense heat instantly melted the two ice cream scoops that had been overlapping in round shapes.
"So easily melted?" Hai Wei De raised an eyebrow, opening his mouth to bite off one, finishing both scoops in two bites.
"Uncle Fireman, that's not how you eat ice cream! You're supposed to lick it. If you bite into it, you won't be able to enjoy its deliciousness." Amy quickly reminded him.
"Is that so?" Hai Wei De was skeptical, but obediently stuck out his tongue and licked the melting ice cream.
"This feeling!"
Hai Wei De's eyes widened as the snow-like ice cream slowly melted on his tongue, a refreshing sensation rising from the tip of his tongue and gradually extinguishing the heat brought on by the spicy grilled fish. The sweet and sour feeling rose like a light breeze, making him feel incredibly comfortable, and he unconsciously closed his eyes.
He saw a petite amethyst dragon perched on a cliff, its neck held high, eyes half-closed, emitting soft, low moans. Her voice was so lovely and captivating that even her meaningless whispers enchanted him.
Later, he accidentally made a sound, startling her. She turned and glanced at him, somewhat surprised and wary, before flapping her wings and flying away.
That was their first and only meeting. He didn't have a chance to ask her name, nor did he know where she lived, but that purple figure with her neck held high, softly singing, was deeply imprinted in his heart.
At that moment, he suddenly understood what that feeling was. Perhaps, this was what people called love, or what humans often talk about… love at first sight?
"Uncle Fireman, your ice cream has melted." Amy reminded him.
Hai Wei De quickly opened his eyes, licked the ice cream that was about to drip, and felt the sweet and sour taste spreading in his mouth. He licked the ice cream bite by bite, his face full of joy and happiness. He didn't forget to look at Amy and say with a smile, "Little girl, you're absolutely right. The correct way to eat this ice cream is to lick it. It's so delicious."
"Although she's a girl from the Amethyst Dragon Clan, but I might be able to visit Amethyst Island when I get back, see her again, and ask her name. That way, I won't have any regrets." Hai Wei De thought to himself as he licked his ice cream. The smile on his face seemed to have a touch of pink.
"Uncle Fireman looks so cute eating ice cream, Daddy, can I have an ice cream too?" Amy turned to Mai Ge and asked.
"Of course, what flavor would you like, Amy?" Mai Ge smiled and nodded, watching Hai Wei De, his body ablaze with flames, carefully licking his ice cream – a rather endearing contrast.
"Vanilla. Amy's never had vanilla ice cream before." Amy said matter of factly.
"Okay, I'll make it for you." Mai Ge smiled, patted Amy's hair, and turned to go into the kitchen.
Everyone was immersed in the delicious food, experiencing an unprecedented culinary extravaganza.
Demons and giant dragons are both races not skilled in cooking. In many cases, the concept of cooking simply doesn't exist.
But the food Mai Ge prepared today completely overturned their centuries-old worldview. They never knew food could be so delicious after cooking. It was a completely different experience from eating it raw!
"Burp..."
A burp echoed through the restaurant, and then, as if it were contagious, the sound reverberated throughout the entire restaurant. Even the two civil officials in charge of taking notes were patting their round bellies with satisfied burps.
"City Lord Michael, if the talks continue tomorrow, will we still be at this restaurant?" Dracula asked, looking at Michael.
Upon hearing this, everyone else also turned to look at Michael.
"Our City Lord's Mansion has only booked the entire Restaurant Mai Mi for this time slot in the evening, so if the meeting is to take place tomorrow, it won't be held at Restaurant Mai Mi." Michael shook his head, paused for a moment, and pointed at Mai Ge, saying, "If you want to continue the meeting here, you can discuss it with Boss Mai yourselves."
