Chapter 408 - Chapter 406 You Are More Precious Than It

"Daddy, Daphne, Little Sprout, and Auntie gave me beautiful gifts!" Amy called out to Mai Ge in the kitchen as soon as she entered the restaurant.

"Amy, did you properly thank them?" Mai Ge asked with a smile as he walked to the kitchen doorway.

"Of course." Amy nodded vigorously.

"Hey, Uncle, it's you." Mai Ge's gaze fell on Gai Yi, somewhat surprised. Looking at Daphne, he understood, and smiled, saying, "What a wonderful coincidence."

"Yes, I didn't expect such a coincidence." Gai Yi nodded with a smile.

"Welcome everyone. We have a few more guests. Please have a seat for a while." Mai Ge said with a smile.

"Please have a seat." said Yabemia with a smile, gesturing to the crescent-shaped table and chairs.

"What a beautiful restaurant! This must be the most beautiful restaurant in Aden Square!" Miranda was carefully helped to sit down by Jergi, her eyes sparkling as she looked around the restaurant.

"Yes, Boss Mai's restaurant is the most beautiful, and it's always very lively. You have to wait in line to eat." Jergi nodded with a smile, gently rocking Angus in his arms. The little guy opened his big brown eyes and looked around, finally fixing his gaze on the beautiful crystal chandelier above. He stared at it intently, a smile appearing on his little face.

Palmer and Pabor sat down on either side of the two people. Palmer chose the corner seat and looked out the window with a cool expression, as if he was thinking about something.

Daphne and Gai Yi sat down as well, and they, along with Ignaz, stared wide-eyed at the Ugly Duckling perched on the counter. The orange kitten looked so adorable, they really wanted to hug it!

"Do you want to play with the Ugly Duckling?" Amy asked the two of them after putting the gifts away.

"Yes!" Pabor was the first to raise his hand.

"Mm." Daphne and Ignaz nodded in agreement.

"Then you can play however you want." Amy said with a smile as she walked over, picked up the reluctant-looking Ugly Duckling, and placed it on the ground.

"Amy, you're so kind!" Daphne exclaimed happily, crouching down to gently pat the Ugly Duckling's head, her smile radiant.

"Little kitty, so cute, I want to hug it..." Pabor walked a little unsteadily, squatted down, and stretched out his little short hands to hug the Ugly Duckling.

The Ugly Duckling rolled its eyes at Pabor, nimbly took two steps back, and avoided his embrace.

"Don't run away! I don't want you to hug me, I want to hug you!" Pabor said anxiously, taking a few more steps forward and stretching out his little hands again.

The Ugly Duckling took a few steps to the side and hid behind Amy.

"The Ugly Duckling rejected your hug and rolled its eyes at you." Amy said, shrugging.

"Okay, even so, I will still like you." Pabor said sincerely.

"The little girl is so cute. I wish ours was a little girl too." Miranda rested her chin on her hands, looking at Amy and Daphne with envy on her face.

"Yes, this time it will definitely be a daughter." Jergi said, looking at Miranda with tenderness.

"Amy, we're here!" A knock sounded at the door, followed by Xi Xi's voice.

"It's Sister Xi Xi and Big Bear!" Amy's eyes lit up, and she ran to the door to open it.

"Thank you for inviting us to the party, lovely Little Amy." Wearing a white dress, Xi Xi held a flower wreath in her hand and smiled as she placed it on Amy's head. The white, yellow, and pink flowers were in full bloom and looked even more beautiful against the backdrop of tender green leaves.

"Thank you, Sister Xi Xi, and Big Bear, welcome!" Amy said happily, touching the flower wreath with her hand, her smile widening even more.

Standing behind, Lu Lu, grinning, carried two birdcages. In the left cage, Green Bean gracefully spread its wings and bowed slightly to Amy, saying in a clear voice, "Thank you, Amy."

"Thank you, Your Highness Amy, but am I really destined to stay in this dark and terrifying cage for this gathering? It's torture for me, both mentally and physically." A black cloth covered the outside of the cage on the right, and Black Charcoal's voice came from inside the cage, carrying a hint of pleading.

"No way, lots of kids are coming today, Black Charcoal, you'd better stay in your cage. If you lift the black cloth or run out, I'll freeze you and send you home." Amy shook her head, showing no intention of negotiating.

"Okay, I definitely won't come out by myself." Black Charcoal said somewhat resentfully, then fell silent.

"Wow, Amy, is this your family's restaurant? It's so beautiful!" Just then, a surprised voice rang out from behind Lu Lu.

Lu Lu stepped aside slightly, revealing Jessica and Rebecca, mother and daughter, who had just arrived.

Jessica changed into the little yellow dress Amy had given her. A yellow butterfly hair clip adorned her short, neatly trimmed hair. Her fair face and bright, clear black eyes stared in surprise at the bright floor to ceiling windows. One small hand was tucked behind her back, concealing something.

Standing next to Jessica was Rebecca, who wore a light gray floral dress. The dress was worn and wrinkled, as if it had just been taken out of a box. Her hair was simply tied up, and she looked quite gentle. She stood next to Jessica with a smile.

"Yes, this is my family's restaurant. Jessica, you look so beautiful in this dress." Amy's eyes lit up as she looked at Jessica, quickly took two steps forward, took Jessica's hand, and said with a smile, "You're as pretty as a little butterfly."

"Yes, what a lovely little girl, Jessica, what a lovely name." Xi Xi also looked at Jessica, her eyes smiling, and reached out to touch her hair.

"Thank you." Jessica said shyly, then looked at Amy earnestly and said, "Amy, give me your hand, I have a gift for you."

"Okay." Amy extended her left hand, looking at Jessica expectantly.

Jessica solemnly placed her small hand in Amy's, then slowly removed it, revealing a small, purple crystal about the size of a little finger in Amy's hand.

The crystal surface was slightly irregular, but clean and clear, without any impurities. When sunlight shone on it, it reflected a dazzling purple light, projecting a beautiful purple ribbon onto Amy's hand.

"Wow, what a beautiful amethyst." Amy's eyes lit up. She loved purple things the most, but she quickly put the amethyst back in Jessica's hand and shook her head, saying, "No, Jessica, I can't accept such a precious gift."

"This is a gift from my father. He went out the next day and never came back. He said that in this world, a true friendship is more precious than all the beautiful stones." Jessica reached out and took Amy's hand, placing the amethyst back in hers. She smiled brightly and said, "So I'm giving it to you because you are more precious than it. My father must think so too."
