Chapter 234 - Chapter 233 System Learning In Progress

"Deal made. From now on, the host can freely use the ingredients obtained from completing tasks, and it will not be considered a violation of regulations!" A deathly silence lasted for a long time before the system's voice finally rang out, sounding somewhat aggrieved and filled with resentment.

"This system is teachable." Mai Ge nodded in satisfaction. Training a system requires a gradual approach, one cannot be too eager to fawn over it, or it will develop a bunch of messy and pretentious habits. Of course, one cannot be too arrogant either, since all the good stuff is in the system. A slap followed by a sweet treat is the correct way to train a system.

Of course, Mai Ge is still in the experimental stage, slowly testing the system's bottom line and core settings. If the rules are set in stone, he can still follow the system's requirements as long as there is no danger. After all, everyone is in the same boat, and there is no need to be too rigid.

As for integrity, the system doesn't have that kind of thing, and Mai Ge never thought it could be sold for money. In fact, he'd be happier if it lost a little bit of it.

"This system is learning. If there is nothing else, please do not disturb this system..." The system silently displayed a line of text, and then fell completely silent.

"You didn't actually go and study that kind of thing, did you?" Mai Ge's expression suddenly turned strange. Although the system liked to study, but that was a sinful abyss. Hopefully, it could get out of there soon.

"System learning in progress..." A line of text began to repeatedly scroll through Mai Ge's mind.

"..." Mai Ge felt like he had done something wrong, it wouldn't be good to corrupt the children.

Mai Ge carried Amy slowly toward the Chaos City. Halfway there, Amy insisted on getting down and walking on her own, carrying the Ugly Duckling herself and trying to keep up with Mai Ge's pace with her short legs.

"What a sensible little one." Mai Ge slowed his pace and walked protectively on the middle side of the road, his smile impossible to hide.

Because Amy walked a third of the way by herself, and he was carrying heavy loads on the way back, what used to be a half hour journey now took Mai Ge and the others a full hour and a half to reach the city gate.

"Phew, we're finally here. I'm exhausted." Amy looked up at the city gate, a bead of sweat sliding down her cheek and landing on the Ugly Duckling's face.

"Ugly Duckling, I think you've gained weight again. You need to lose weight when you get back." Amy said earnestly, looking down at Ugly Duckling.

"Meow meow~" The Ugly Duckling stared wide-eyed at Amy with an innocent look, trying to defend itself.

"I don't care, you have to run ten laps around the restaurant before you can go to sleep tonight." Amy insisted forcefully.

"Meow~" The Ugly Duckling immediately wilted, looking up at the sky with a look of utter despair.

"The Ugly Duckling is growing up, just like Amy is getting taller, which is why it's getting heavier." Mai Ge said with a smile. He saw the Ugly Duckling's eyes light up, and it suddenly turned to look at him, continuing, "But I think running ten laps before bed is also good, it needs proper exercise when it's growing."

"Meow~" The Ugly Duckling continued gazing at the sky.

"Come on, Little Amy, you've done a great job getting here by yourself. Get on, and then we'll ride our bicycles." Mai Ge smiled and squatted down, waiting for Amy to get on before heading towards the city.

"Hey? Captain, isn't that the father and daughter from this morning? They're back so quickly!"

"Is that a Flaming Chicken in one hand? And what's that in the other hand... the tusk of a Copper-skinned Wild Boar!"

The guards at the city gate also noticed Mai Ge carrying Amy as they passed by, and two of the younger guards couldn't help but whisper in surprise.

"The Chaos City is a place where hidden talents abound. Indeed, no one should be underestimated." Ba Di looked at Mai Ge's retreating figure, nodded slightly, and said in a deep voice, his expression also showing some surprise.

"System, I need to pick up my bicycle." Once inside the city, Mai Ge said directly in his mind. He was a little tired after walking all morning.

"System learning in progress..." But that text kept looping in his mind.

Mai Ge raised an eyebrow. This system was doomed. His gaze suddenly fell on a small icon in the lower right corner, which read: "Self-service bicycle pick up". He tried clicking it with his mind, and a 3D map immediately popped up, showing a 50 meters radius around him, prompting him to select a pick up location.

Mai Ge looked around and decided to pick up the bicycle in the deserted alley next door, where he had just parked it. After hearing the delivery notification sound, he led Amy into the alley.

"Let's get on the bicycle and go home." Looking at the bicycle parked in the alley, Mai Ge said with a smile, "This system is actually quite thoughtful, knowing to reserve a self-service bicycle retrieval option."

"Okay, let's ride home!" Amy nodded happily, ran towards the bicycle, put the Ugly Duckling in the basket, grabbed the handlebars, and climbed onto the back seat.

"Meow meow~" The Ugly Duckling clung to the bicycle basket with its little paws, looking at Amy pitifully with a scared expression.

"Ugly Duckling, hug it." Mai Ge put the boar tusk in the basket, lifted his leg onto the bicycle, gripped the handlebars with one hand and carried the Flaming Chicken in the other, pushed off with the pedals, and the bicycle sped forward, turning out of the alley and heading towards Aden Square.

"Meow~~" The Ugly Duckling tried to hug the big boar tusk that was rolling around in the basket, trying to give itself some space from being squeezed.

"I hope there aren't many customers at the restaurant entrance right now." Mai Ge glanced at his watch, it was exactly eleven o'clock. Usually, there would be a steady stream of customers lining up at this time.

Since he said he would take a day off, he should naturally keep his word and take a day off.

Mai Ge needs to give his hand some time to recover. Fried rice and tofu pudding are fine, but making Rou Jia Mo requires kneading dough, and the wound on his right hand can't be done with that.

There were no customers at the restaurant entrance, but Mai Ge could see from afar a mountain of knives piled up half a meter high, reflecting a cold light in the sunlight, almost blinding him.

"So fierce?" Mai Ge raised an eyebrow, sensing the terrible resentment the guests felt towards his absence from the menacing glint of knives and swords.

"Wow, so many beautiful knives and swords! Daddy, may I choose one?" Amy's eyes lit up as she looked at the pile of knives and swords and asked expectantly.

"Alright, Amy, pick one you like from there." The bicycle stopped at the restaurant entrance, and Mai Ge nodded with a smile. Among these small knives and swords, there were quite a few that looked rather exquisite and sharp. Rich people really are different when they want to be capricious.

"Boss, you're back!" Just then, two figures walked out from the side of the restaurant, saying with delight.
