Ficool

Chapter 184 - Chapter 183 Alarms Sounded!

"He just went in." The orc pointed inside the gate, looking at Haider's bald head, which was still covered in sweat, and asked nervously, "Dean Haider, do you need to see him?"

"Nothing serious, where did he go?" Haider leaned closer, bending down to examine the bicycle, and asked.

"He inquired about the location of the Magic Academy, so he must have gone there. He said his daughter is going to school." the old man beside him quickly replied.

"The Magic Academy?" Haider straightened up, his expression somewhat conflicted. After hesitating for a moment, he pursed his lips and said, "Forget it, I'll just wait for him here. None of those old fogies at the Magic Academy like me." He then continued to examine the bicycle.

"Aren't outsiders not allowed to enter the school at will?" Dix asked curiously as he got off the carriage.

As the chief liaison officer between the City Lord's Mansion and Chaos Academy, he was very familiar with the rules of Chaos Academy. These rules, which were established by Principal Norvan through brainstorming, ensured the independence and purity of Chaos Academy. Even if the City Lord came to Chaos Academy, he could not bring his Fiery Lion into the school gate.

However, the Fiery Lion, who was knocked unconscious for half a month by Principal Norvan's ice hockey trick, probably would never want to set foot in Chaos Academy again.

"He has the principal's pass, which allows him to enter Chaos Academy according to the rules." the old gatekeeper said calmly, managing to remain composed when facing Dix.

"I see." Dix's eyes lit up. Principal Norvan's pass was a very special one. Although it was in Principal Norvan's name, but it was actually the only pass recognized by Chaos Academy. He had one, but that was because he represented the City Lord's Mansion. Moreover, Principal Norvan had personally met with him and made him promise in person that he would not interfere with teaching, would not do anything to harm students, and would abide by all the school's rules before he received it.

"But who was that person just now? How did he get Principal Norvan's pass? And that little girl is about the same age as Udir, she shouldn't be old enough to enroll in Chaos Academy yet, but she's been sent directly to the Magic Academy? Is she of noble status, or a genius mage?" Dix had a lot of questions in his mind, but he didn't ask them.

From his perspective, he couldn't ask too many questions, but one thing was certain: that person was not only interesting, but also mysterious.

"The principal's pass?" Haider was also somewhat surprised upon hearing this, but after glancing at Dix, he didn't ask any further questions. He continued to circle the bicycle, his eyes almost touching it, growing brighter and brighter, muttering to himself, "Genius, this is absolutely genius. What ingenious methods did he use to make the wire so uniform in thickness and perfectly press the sheet of iron into a ring..."

"Meow!" As he turned to the front of the bicycle, a sharp meow suddenly rang out. The Ugly Duckling jumped up from the basket, its front paws gripping the edge of the basket, baring its teeth defiantly at Haider.

"Ouch!" Haider, who was focused on the bicycle, was startled and plopped down on the ground. Looking at the cute little cat peeking out from the basket, he couldn't help but laugh and cry, "Whose cat is this? Why is it here? It gave me a fright!"

"Dean, are you alright?" The orc and Dix rushed forward to help him up, and the orc added, "This is that person's cat."

"I'm fine. Let me study this thing some more." Haider waved his hand, pointed a finger at the Ugly Duckling, and warned, "Little one, don't be naughty." Then he squatted down and began to examine the gearbox.

Mai Ge led Amy around and finally found Building Number Three. Unlike the magical school building he had imagined, filled with skulls, green lights, and other fantastical elements, this light green, three-story school building was no different from the other school buildings in Chaos Academy. There was a witch sitting on a broom painted on the exterior wall, and a golden sphere was flying not far away. It looked like a child's doodle, not particularly exquisite, but full of childlike innocence.

"Flying witch, Daddy, can Little Amy fly around on a broom like her someday?" Amy looked at the witch, her eyes lighting up with anticipation as she asked.

"You should be able to fly, but not necessarily on a broom." Mai Ge said with a smile. Crassus might know some flying magic, but as a melee mage, he wouldn't be qualified to challenge a ranged mage if the battlefield was confined to the ground.

Mai Ge led Amy by the hand into the school building. Classes started at 7:30, so there was no one there yet. However, the building was brightly lit and didn't feel oppressive at all. Unlike ordinary school buildings, the classrooms here had no windows, and there were only two magic classrooms on each floor, half the number.

Climbing up to the third floor, there was only one magic classroom on this floor. The door, covered by a layer of black metal, was ajar, and light shone out from the crack in the door.

Mai Ge stepped forward and knocked.

"You've arrived, quite punctual." the heavy door creaked open, and Crassus, dressed in white robes, smiled at the two standing in the doorway.

"It's Amy's first day of class, so she can't be late." Mai Ge said with a smile.

"Hello, Master Crassus." Amy said earnestly, looking at Crassus.

"Hmm?" Crassus paused, looking at Amy with surprise.

"Daddy said that I should call you that at school." Amy explained, a happy smile immediately spreading across her face. "Then, when we're not at school, can I call you Master Half Beard?"

"You can call me whatever you like, Little Amy." Crassus looked at Amy's bright smile and his mood brightened as well. She was so happy to be called that, so of course he would do it.

Of course, being called "Master Crassus" by Amy felt quite different, more formal. Mai Ge's tutoring was better than expected. His gaze then fell on the two things Mai Ge was holding, and his eyes lit up as he said, "Boss Mai, did you bring me the tofu pudding too?"

"I brought it, but the journey is a bit bumpy, so it might be…" Mai Ge nodded, a little hesitant.

"It's alright, it doesn't matter if it falls apart, it'll still taste just as good." Crassus smiled and shook his head, interrupting Mai Ge. He took the thermos and Yang Zhou Fried Rice from Mai Ge and walked towards the classroom, saying, "Boss Mai, if you're busy, you can go back first. I'll bring Little Amy back for lunch."

"Okay, then I'll have to trouble you." Mai Ge replied with a smile, squatted down and looked at Amy, saying, "Little Amy, be a good girl and listen to Teacher Crassus, and study hard. Daddy is going home now."

"Yes, I will." Amy nodded earnestly, looking at Mai Ge with a hint of reluctance, but looking back at the magic classroom filled with all sorts of strange and wonderful things, she felt more anticipation than anything else.

"Then go in." Mai Ge smiled and patted Amy's hair. He watched Amy enter the classroom, and after a while, he gently closed the door and walked towards the school gate.

"Beep beep beep beep beep beep beep... woo~ woo~ woo~ woo~ chirp~ chirp~ chirp~ chirp~ beep! beep! beep!" Before Mai Ge even reached the school gate, he heard a loud alarm.
