Chapter 173 - Chapter 172 Host, Please Feel Free To Give Me Your Instructions

"But…" Under the gaze of everyone, Yabemia looked somewhat flustered, especially since Crassus and Yulian, two powerful mages, were Amy's teachers. Should she refuse their request according to the rules on the menu, or should she reasonably agree to it?

"The Boss won't refuse the requests made by these two great mages, right?"

"Yes, they are the Little Boss's teachers. It would be unreasonable to refuse them given this relationship."

"If they order a second serving, shouldn't we be able to order one too? We're all guests, after all."

The guests whispered among themselves, waiting for Yabemia's response. They were already calculating in their minds, convinced that Mai Ge would not refuse Yulian and Crassus's request, and thinking about what to say to get Mai Ge to agree to give them another serving of tofu pudding.

Such delicious and refreshing tofu pudding would be torture to eat only one serving!

"Should I have another one?" Sally looked at the empty bowl in front of her, her face showing hesitation again. There was still a faint aroma of bean in her mouth, and a sweet feeling enveloped her whole body. It seemed that even the air she exhaled carried a hint of honey.

"Sorry, tofu pudding is limited to one serving per person per meal, and we do not offer takeout service." Just then, Mai Ge's voice rang out as he came out carrying a plate of Yang Zhou Fried Rice, gently placed it in front of Crassus, and said with a smile, "Your Yang Zhou Fried Rice."

"He actually refused outright!" The restaurant fell silent. The guests looked at Mai Ge with undisguised surprise and disappointment. Although Mai Ge had a smile on his face, but it was only a polite smile and he did not show any sign of compromise.

Crassus was also taken aback. He glanced at the Yang Zhou Fried Rice in front of him, then at the smiling Mai Ge. Mai Ge had let them sample it for free this morning, and now that he was Amy's master, it wasn't like he wasn't going to pay. Why was Mai Ge refusing his request for another serving?

"Boss Mai, I'll pay for the second one too." Crassus tried to reason with him again. The tofu pudding was just too delicious. The sweet taste was simply addictive. For people who like sweets, it was an absolutely irresistible delicacy.

Yulian raised an eyebrow at Mai Ge. Mai Ge was the first person who dared to refuse his request to buy things, even though he was Amy's father. Wasn't this too unreasonable?

"One serving per person per meal, that's the restaurant's rule, as clearly stated on the menu. I hope everyone will abide by it and enjoy your meal." Mai Ge smiled and shook his head, looking at the disappointed customers and Crassus and Yulian, whose expressions weren't good, while inwardly cursing.

He knew that the purchase limit would upset many customers who wanted more, but the tofu pudding was too nutritious, and one serving was about right for a normal person. Eating too much would cause problems and damage the restaurant's reputation, which would be a loss.

Moreover, he had already accepted the system's limited-purchase task. Although the number and content of the slots in the wheel had not yet reached a consensus with the system, but he was quite tempted by any of the rewards.

"Daddy said one serving means one serving, Masters. Do you two want to hit him?" Amy asked Yulian and Crassus, leaning on the counter, her eyes filled with wariness.

"How could that be? Of course we have to follow the rules that Boss Mai mentioned. Without rules, nothing can be accomplished. The Yang Zhou Fried Rice is really delicious." Crassus picked up a spoon, took a bite of the Yang Zhou Fried Rice, and nodded with a big smile on his face.

"Rou Jia Mo is delicious too." Yulian silently picked up a Rou Jia Mo and took a bite.

Crassus and Yulian realized that it was probably impossible for them to have a second bowl of tofu pudding today. What could they do? They couldn't very well beat up their precious apprentice's father in front of her, could they?

If it were any other restaurant, they could just reveal their identities and scare the owner into cooking for them properly, bringing as much food as they wanted.

But Mai Ge was a little different. He was calm and composed when he didn't know their identities, which was fine, but even after he found out they were great mages he still had the same expression, as if he treated them as ordinary guests. He had the same expression when he received other guests.

"But this attitude will probably get the restaurant more recognition, right? Oh well, I'll eat it tomorrow." Crassus glanced at Mai Ge, then lowered his head to focus on eating his Yang Zhou Fried Rice.

"Boss, I'll pay ten times the price, just sell me another one. I really need it urgently, please." Luo Xi Ya stood up and looked at Mai Ge earnestly. Lately, she had noticed that her husband's attitude towards her had become somewhat cold. A woman's intuition gave her a sense of crisis, but she couldn't bring herself to ask. Frustrated and unable to find a solution, she found hope for removing her scars in this restaurant, and she didn't care how much money it cost.

"Sorry, tofu pudding will be available as usual tomorrow morning. Customers can come early." Mai Ge smiled and shook his head, inwardly thinking, "System, why don't you reassess? Ten times the usual price! Selling one serving is equivalent to selling ten normally! Only a fool wouldn't make money like that!"

"Host, please watch your words. Insulting the system may trigger a new hidden mission." The system's displeased voice rang out, then it became somewhat impassioned: "As a candidate for the Chef God please face your status squarely and do not be swayed by 2,000 copper coins. Changing your mind constantly will corrupt the restaurant's rules. A bright future awaits you. Move forward towards your goal of becoming a top-tier Chef God!"

"System, do you want two thousand copper coins?" Mai Ge asked seriously.

"Host, please feel free to give me your instructions." The system's voice immediately softened.

"It's nothing, I was just asking casually." Mai Ge pouted, this system really had no integrity.

"But…" Luo Xi Ya wanted to add more conditions.

"Miss, enjoy your meal." Mai Ge smiled and nodded, then turned and went straight into the kitchen to continue cooking, showing no intention of negotiation, let alone compromise.

Luo Xi Ya opened her mouth, realizing for the first time that money couldn't solve everything, not even the rules of a restaurant.

"Luo Xi Ya, let's forget about it. Let's come back tomorrow morning. Those two who were just turned away are great mages." her best friend said softly, pulling Luo Xi Ya's hand.

"Great mages!" Luo Xi Ya's eyes widened. Coming from a prominent family, she naturally knew what those two words meant. Mai Ge had even refused the requests of two great mages, so what did her request amount to? After hesitating for a moment, she sat down again. It seemed she would have to come back to eat tomorrow.

"Yes, if a customer wanted to pay ten times the price for one more serving, I'd definitely be tempted."

"Sigh, looks like I'll have to hold back today. I'll come earlier tomorrow morning!"

The guests spoke in hushed tones, neither power nor money could sway Mai Ge in the slightest. They had gained a new understanding of the restaurant's rules, and it seemed that what Boss Mai had written on the back of the menu was no joke.
