Chapter 165 - Chapter 164 Uncle, The Tofu Pudding Is Really Delicious

Two long lines, each with over a hundred people, stood facing each other, arguing fiercely, some even red-faced and on the verge of physical violence.

Fortunately, both sides remained rational and used words instead of fists. Otherwise, the restaurant entrance would have turned into a gladiatorial arena by now.

Crassus and Yulian, who fought fiercely this morning, are now behaving like true leaders, standing expressionless in the front row without saying a word.

The cacophony of arguments that hit him as soon as he opened the door made Mai Ge's eyelids twitch. This was far more intense than the online flame wars of his previous life, this was a real-life version, and an enhanced one at that.

If this were to really break out, it would be a massive free for all between mages, demons, knights, and orcs, with everyone shouting "Savory is justice!" and "Sweet is king!" Just imagining it made Mai Ge think the scene was too beautiful to bear.

"In order not to affect the normal operation of the restaurant, I feel it is quite necessary to set up a sweet and savory competition arena. If any controversial dishes are introduced in the future, it will give them a place to express their opinions." Mai Ge glanced back at Amy, who was holding a spoon and looking at the food in front of her with anticipation. "The little one should like it."

Mai Ge's voice interrupted the argument, and the noise gradually subsided. Everyone turned to look at the restaurant entrance. Although they were still skeptical of each other, but the argument stemmed from the boredom of waiting in line outside. Now that the restaurant was open, eating was the priority.

Of course, another reason is that they argue after they've finished eating, so their arguments are more substantial.

"Please come in." Mai Ge opened the door, stepping aside to let them in. He was determined not to get involved in the sweet vs savory debate, and of course, he couldn't let them take their anger out on him, that would be truly unfair.

Crassus and Yulian simultaneously stepped onto the stairs, exchanged a glance, and, neither willing to give way, forced their way in side by side, heading towards their usual seats.

"Hello, Master Half Beard and Master Turtle Shell." Amy greeted them.

"Mm." the two replied, their eyes fixed on the two bowls of tofu pudding in front of Amy, unable to look away.

The bowls used that evening were slightly smaller than regular noodle bowls, yet held more than the small bowls from the morning, a faint aroma of soybeans wafting from the kitchen.

The other guests followed suit, each refusing to give way, and they all forced their way in side by side.

"You go first." Luna and Sally both raised their legs at the same time, but Luna quickly pulled her foot back and raised her hand.

"Thank you." Sally glanced at Luna with some surprise, nodded, and went into the restaurant first.

Mai Ge saw Sally enter the restaurant. Although she was wearing a veil, but he recognized her at first glance. Seeing that she didn't greet him, he nodded politely.

"Mr. Mai Ge." Luna greeted Mai Ge, who was guarding the door.

"Miss Luna." Mai Ge smiled and nodded, surprised that Luna was here today.

"Boss Mai, give me two plates of Yang Zhou Fried Rice, and a really strong Rou Jia Mo, I'm about to collapse." Visenio said weakly, leaning against the door.

"Okay, please wait a moment." Mai Ge nodded, looking at Visenio, who was pale and obvious kidney deficiancy with a strange expression. It seemed that he had begged for mercy this time. He was a little curious about the woman behind him. What kind of woman could have made him look like this?

Visenio came in, leaning against the door, and sat down at the same table he had at noon, feeling that even walking a few more steps would be a burden.

Guests entered the restaurant one after another. Those who arrived early were given priority to find seats, while those who came later and did not want to stand had to share a table. Those who arrived even later did not even have the opportunity to share a table and had to start queuing from the counter, which stretched outwards. Fortunately, the aisle in the middle was wide enough not to affect the dining of guests on both sides.

Luna sat down opposite Sally, and soon two more women who had come together sat down beside her.

Sally breathed a sigh of relief. Eating with the seemingly well-mannered Luna was so much better than eating with the orcs and dwarves. It seemed she could finally enjoy a plate of Yang Zhou Fried Rice today.

"I'll have a sweet tofu pudding and a Rou Jia Mo."

"I'll have a savory tofu pudding and a plate of Yang Zhou Fried Rice."

"One sweet and one savory tofu pudding. I want to taste which one is better."

...

As soon as the guests sat down, they began ordering. Yabemia memorized each order in the order they entered.

"Excuse me, guest, but tofu pudding is limited to one serving per person. Please choose one flavor." Yabemia said apologetically to the customer who had ordered one serving of each flavor.

"There's such a rule?" The customer was a little surprised. He glanced at the menu on the table and saw that it did indeed indicate a limit of one serving per person. The price of two hundred copper coins surprised him. It was even cheaper than a Rou Jia Mo. After thinking for a moment, he nodded and said, "Then I'll have a savory one."

Everyone sat down to order and wait for their food. Those who arrived late stood in line, and all eyes were fixed on Amy and the two large bowls in front of her.

A small, white, jade-like square piece was placed in a white porcelain bowl, looking incredibly bouncy. To the left is a bowl covered in sweet syrup, while to the right is a bowl topped with various chopped side dishes. The subtle aroma of tofu pudding and the sweet scent of syrup wafts through the air, making everyone involuntarily swallow.

"This must be tofu pudding, right?" a bald man standing nearby asked curiously.

"Yes." Amy nodded, holding a spoon in one hand.

"Little Boss, is the tofu pudding delicious?" the bald man asked again, full of curiosity.

Upon hearing this, everyone craned their necks, eager to hear Amy's opinion. Many customers were also hesitant about whether to try the new product, as two hundred copper coins were not a small sum that many people could easily throw away.

"Do you want to know?" Amy looked up at the bald man and asked, shaking the spoon in her hand, as if inviting him to try it himself.

"Yes." the man nodded.

"Then I'll try it for you." Amy nodded, scooped up a spoonful of savory tofu pudding, and the tender white tofu swayed back and forth in the spoon. The orange red sauce slowly flowed down the cut, garnished with chopped pickled vegetables and dried shrimp. She slowly fed it into her mouth, and the sweet tofu pudding melted in her mouth. The savory pickled vegetables and the shrimp that enhanced the flavor blended perfectly. Her bright blue eyes lit up instantly as she felt the deliciousness spreading in her mouth, melting away without even needing to chew.

With a soft gulp, Amy swallowed it, her little face beaming with enjoyment. Holding the spoon, she looked up at the bald man and nodded earnestly, saying, "Uncle, the tofu pudding is really delicious!"

"Gulp...." A series of swallowing sounds echoed in the restaurant.
