—Six Years Ago—
The mansion Daddy bought for Mom was beautiful.
Her needs were fully provided for, and the jewelry and valuables Daddy prepared for her were more than enough.
But it wasn't enough.
Mom had to come with me to Green Pack.
I looked at Daddy and Mom with hopeful eyes.
"Daddy, after Clarissa is removed, Mom will come back with us to Green Pack soon, right?"
Daddy gently stroked my head and nodded.
"In five or six years, that woman will be dead. I've already placed a cursed stone under her pillow."
"Darling, won't that be dangerous for you too?" Mom asked anxiously.
"You know I stay there at most twice a month," Daddy replied calmly. "Before sleeping, I'll put the cursed stone in the drawer. I'll return it to the pillow in the morning."
Mom and I finally felt relieved.
"Daddy, nothing bad must happen to you," I said softly as I clung to his arm. "Mom and I would be heartbroken if anything happened."
