A smile slowly formed on my lips as I looked at the man sitting in the center of the room.
His hair was a mess, streaked with strands of white. The wrinkles on his face had multiplied.
He shifted restlessly, likely sensing a new presence. His brows furrowed. His body tensed.
"Are you trying to shift?" my voice echoed through the empty room as I removed the cloth gag from his mouth.
He froze.
"Who are you? Why did you kidnap me? And why can't I shift?"
There was still arrogance in his tone.
"So many questions, Alpha William—oh, wait. You're no longer the honorable Alpha of Green Pack. You're just William now." I ended my sentence with mockery.
"What do you mean?! The entire West Region will act if you lay a hand on me!"
Even after being told, he still didn't understand.
Fine. He would learn soon enough.
"Do you want me to answer your questions?" I asked, as if this were a game.
He clenched his teeth, swallowed his anger, and nodded.
"Answer me."
