Chapter 6 - Office 113: Empty inside

Sigh

"That was rough..." Klein heaved a heavy sigh, while his body covered in cold sweat. The back of his office shirt damp, and unkempt from working out in the in gym earlier.

"I didn't know it was gonna be that tough!" Klein exclaimed.

"That's why i told you to remove your shirt, and wore my spare ones." Sharron replied.

The two friends walked side by side together in the middle of the night on the dark streets leading to their home apartment. Sharron was wrapping her hands around Sherlock's arm, even too clingly at that, which anyone could mistake them for a couple or lovers, while Sherlock is too tired to even do anything, unable to think of anything, not noticing it.

Klein's muscles were burned out from lifting and working out for the first time in his life, unable to even lift them over his shouldet, as he is just in the first process and stage of comprehending the difficulty of working out for a person who has never done something that rigorous in his entire life, till now.

"So, will you go back tomorrow?" Sharron asked.

"Of course, it was difficult, but i think it's fun to have a hobby. I got to commend Miss Ami for her recommendations on this one." Klein's reply was earnest, hinting joy despite his weak complexion, like a very skinny person one push away from crumbling.

"... What about you, will you go back- with me?" Klein then cut her off to ask a question. "It be sad if im the only one coming back..." Anticapating for an answer that is not to his expectations, Klein felt a bit sad

"What kind of question is that? Of course i will, i also need to get back on track, its fun, huhu~" Sharron raised an eyebrow as she answered to his expectations, her other hand on her hip, fixing her posture in compliance.

"Oh- Hahaha- I think this is what they call Gym Buddy, is that what we are called then?" Klein then giggled as his question was answered in line with his expectations. Feeling relieved, his footsteps and weakly demanour brightened up, becoming faster.

...

"See you tomorrow, then."

"Yeah, goodnight- Sharron.

As Sherlock and Sharron finally reached their respective apartments just side by side to each other somewhere a few floors above, they entered each to their own in unison, but not before stealing glances from each other in papassin

Clack Clack

Entering his own apartment, Klein turned on the lights and found himself alone to a familiar cramped space with enough utility and necessary stuffs. It wasn't anything glamorous or anything to be proud to look or behold at, Klein at least felt assured that he was still here, it's still there, but he couldn't help himself but feel the underlying stress of having to look at it day and day again, he couldn't help but feel empty deep down inside. The repetition of it taking a massive toll on him.

It was filled with a lot, but so empty at the same time, just like him.

It's as if there's something missing deep inside of him.

He stood quitely for a good few minutes, unmoved, unbothered by anything else. His mind was filled to the brim with all kinds of information, but also empty at the same time; just like the room that he's looking at right now, its filled with all the necessary stuff he needs to survive and live every single day. BUT, there's something missing, something important, crucial.

Looking at Sharron or Arianna back at the office sometimes eases his mind. Thus, having spend a lot of quality time with them becomes almost instinctively first priority.

"What am i missing?" Like a madman, he asked himself.

His eyes tired, his body weak, but not because of the of the workout he had recently, it was also the cumulative work he have to do throughout the day and the day before that, and the day before that, and so on.

"... Im tired, i eat tomorrow instead." after taking a quick glance over the stacks of food in his crampee kitchen; ready to be boiled and made for just a few minutes, he moved his head and body away in rejection, taking a quick straddle around his apartment, he then let his body slumped to the bed in his cramped room.

...

Tick Tock

Tick Tock

"Ugh... can't sleep." But despite all the exhaustion accumulated in his body, his eyes and mind faltered, wavering for reasons unknown.

Klein stood up from the bed, removed his shirt, then opened the window of his room, letting his body cool from the wind entering throughout, while basking under the light of the moon. Klein then took a chair and sat in front of the window.

He tried to mess around with his phone, but there's nothing there to play with or mess with. So he just let it rest back on the bed, while his eyes look at the moon above.

His head tilt as his mind went awry, like a man stranded in the middle of the ocean, with no direction to head towards to, he was at this very moment, just a blank slate, an empty vessel of his former self.

"Hmmm...?"

All of a sudden, his eyes picked up something. He looked above outside his window and saw a silhouette floating up in the sky, with the moon highliting its figure.

"... What- is- that?" Klein asked himself out of randomness and curiosity.

The silhouette floating in the sky gradually took the figure of a very beautiful woman as she got closer and closer to his window, dancing in mid air with very minimal clothing, and floating shawls around her body.

Her dance was beautiful, slow, but elegant.

It as if she was dancing with the wind, or she was the wind itself.

Klein doesn't have the mental capacity right now to question reality, or why a woman is floating in the air, dancing even in front of him.

His mouth was left agape, his eyebrows twitching slightly as he asked himself "... Wha...?"

All of a sudden, the floating woman in the air met his eyes. But the woman's eyes were concealed by a veil, but around her head were wolf ears, and behind her back was a tail.

And before Klein knew what was happening, or even comprehend what was happening.

Ring Ring Ring Thud Thud

"Sherlock, shut your damn phone, im still sleeping!!"

Klein's eyes opened wide as it was early in the morning, his body lying on the floor, his phone blasting its alarm at full volume, Sharron from the other side of the wall slamming their walls with her fists, complaining about the noise.
