Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

"This is your class," Allen said to Jeremy.

The latter glanced up, the 'Class1C' hung poorly above the door. He peeked inside, expecting to see a quiet class but as soon he looked inside, he was shocked beyond words.

The whole place was noisy and it was mess.

"Is this my class?" He turned and asked Allen.

"Yes," Allen replied, pretending not to know why Jeremy was looking surprised.

"Why am I in such a place?" Jeremy asked, still not getting the point.

"Well..." Allen began. "This class is mainly for those students who do not know anything — especially those who do not have any ability. I suppose you do not have an ability which is why the Dean sent you to this class."

Jeremy could not get upset even if he wanted to. The Dean's behavior was typical average human behavior — so, it was understandable.

"Okay," he mumbled and walked into the class.

As soon as he stepped in, the noisy place became dead silent.

Perhaps they have never seen anyone who was so good-looking like him — white hair, crimson eyes, pale skin, and richly dressed.

"Why are you all so quiet?" One student shouted at the others. He had jet-black hair and blue eyes. "It's just another student, right? Another useless student like all of us here so why are you all staring at him like idiots!"

Jeremy ignored the boy and spotted an empty seat behind the others. He silently walked over to it and sat down.

The other students kept staring at him — some were muttering among themselves, others gazed silently while only a few did not say much or reacted in any way.

It was enough for Jeremy to be put in such a bad place — he didn't want additional troubles. So he placed his head on the desk, ready to sleep but even that, was taken away from him by another student.

The tall boy with muscles slammed his fist on the desk and glared at Jeremy hatefully.

"What do you want? Jeremy asked him.

"That's my seat, get up and find somewhere else," the boy grunted. "You better go find somewhere else to it down or I'll make you regret."

Jeremy lifted his head slowly, his crimson eyes meeting the tall boy's glare. For a moment, he didn't speak — his gaze was calm, unreadable, and far too collected for someone being challenged.

"That so?" Jeremy said after a pause.

The tall boy smirked, thinking he'd intimidated him. "Yeah. So move before I—"

Jeremy cut him off, not with words, but with a quiet sigh. He rose from the seat, pushing the chair back gently instead of kicking it away. Everyone expected an argument, maybe even a fight. Instead, he just stepped aside and muttered, "Fine. It's all yours."

The tall boy blinked, confused for a moment. The class murmured in surprise, several students exchanging bewildered looks. No one had ever backed down from Kyle — not without trembling, not without cursing.

Jeremy didn't spare him another glance. He simply walked across the classroom, his movements graceful and silent, and stopped by the window. There was an empty chair there. He pulled it back and sat down, his face turned toward the open view outside.

The late morning light washed over his white hair, giving him a faint, almost ethereal glow. He leaned his chin on one hand, eyes fixed on the distance — the kind of look that made it hard to tell what he was thinking, or if he was thinking at all.

The class stayed silent for several seconds, no one dared to speak a word— not after what just happened. Those who were secretly mocking him stopped abruptly. Those that felt it wasn't their business, rose their head, staring at the boy in utter surprise and awe.

They all knew who Victory is — Born into one the most wealthy and powerful family, Victory had no fear whatsoever. He had everything he wanted, could obtain anything by mere words, never cared for anyone else — he was the pride of his family.

No one, not even the school authorities or teachers had any say over him— Not even the Dean. He didn't whatever he wanted without fear of being questioned. They knew exactly who he is, as such, they try to avoid him at all cost.

When they saw him walking towards Jeremy, they all thought that he was going to be doomed but unexpectedly, the new boy not only avoided trouble but also rubbed shit on his face by ignoring him completely. That act alone is enough to give Victory sleepless night.

Meanwhile, Victory had his eyes locked on Jeremy throughout that time. No one knew what he was thinking but it was pretty obvious what was going on inside his mind.

As long as he could remember, no one had made him feel the way the new boy did — He didn't fight, argued back... Just his simple action alone was enough to make him feel the way he was feeling.

The more he thought about it, the more he was becoming interested in the new boy — he had to know why the boy ignored him... Like he never worth his time.

During the rest of the day, Jeremy sat staring at the world beyond the window. No one knew what was going on in his mind, no one came to disturb him... And no teacher came into their class for the rest of the day.

When the school came to an end, the school bell rang and every student in the class began to leave. Jeremy waited until all the students had left before rising to his feet. Just as he was about to leave the class, someone blocked his path.

He turned to Victory, a calm look on his face— yet, beneath that calmness, laid something deeper.

"What are you doing?" He asked. "Haven't you had enough fun already?"

Victory scoffed, unbothered at all. "The fun is just starting."

"If you know what's good for you, avoid me now," Jeremy warned and pushed Victory's hand away before walking past him.

Outside, Allen was waiting for him. Seeing him come out of the class, the latter went to meet him.

"Follow me, I'll take you to your dorm," he said to him.

Jeremy nodded and silently followed Allen as they both made their way to another section of the Academy. There was silence between them for a while until Allen spoke.

"Students like Victory are to be avoided as much as possible. Do not get into a fight with him — that is, if you want your stay here to be longer than expected."

Just then, they arrived at the place.
