Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: Little Broken Watch: I Don’t Want to Work Overtime

After confirming that the Talon was incapacitated, the Spider Monkey panted heavily, wiping sweat haphazardly from its body with its four hands. Its blue skin was still stained with mud and leaf debris from the battle.

Tapping the Omnitrix symbol on its chest twice, the Spider Monkey intended to use its repair function to fix the opponent's DNA.

Just then, a piercing ripping sound suddenly echoed from the sky.

The Spider Monkey stiffened, instinctively leaping backward swiftly, landing on all fours, and staring vigilantly at the sky.

The previously calm night sky appeared to be torn open by an invisible giant hand; a pitch-black rift slowly emerged, its edges flickering with eerie green electrical light, and a chilling aura emanated from within.

Immediately following, a dazzling green light suddenly burst from the pitch-black rift, pouring down like a surging tide.

In an instant, a deafening crash resounded, the ground began to tremble violently, trees groaned under the strain of their shaking, and falling leaves rained down.

The Spider Monkey was knocked off balance by this force; it clung tightly to a nearby tree trunk, barely steadying itself, its heart pounding wildly in its chest.

As the dust slowly cleared, the Spider Monkey stole a glance, and a bottomless crater had appeared in the distance.

From within the crater, a figure slowly straightened up. It was a young man, wearing a green and black jacket on his upper body, the fabric seemingly imbued with strange patterns; his dark green trousers were stained with mud but still relatively neat.

He raised his hand to brush off the dust on his body and began to look around, appearing somewhat anxious, as if he had lost something and couldn't find it.

This powerful impact not only left the Spider Monkey in a sorry state but also unexpectedly broke the Talon's silk restraints.

The Talon, who had been firmly glued to the ground, suddenly struggled free, using the impact to flip herself upright.

Her longsword flashed coldly in her hand as she quickly cut through the remaining silk threads attached to her body, her movements swift and precise.

Then, she gripped her weapon vigilantly, her gaze sweeping around before finally settling on the man who had just risen from the crater nearby.

The man also saw the Talon suddenly spring up, his steps faltered, a glimmer of hope flashed in his eyes, and he asked, "Have you seen a girl with orange hair and green eyes?" As soon as the words left his mouth, he seemed to remember something else, hesitated, and then, with a hint of annoyance, corrected himself, "It could also be purple eyes, or red hair, black hair, any of those are possible."

The Talon, however, did not reply; she simply charged at the man, raising her longsword.

Her steps were agile and swift, the longsword arcing sharply through the air, aiming directly for the man's vital points.

Yet, the man remained calm, his body slightly turning and subtly leaning back, a series of fluid movements that effortlessly dodged several of the Talon's attacks.

After a few moves, the man sighed helplessly, a hint of impatience flashing in his eyes: "I'm in a hurry to find someone right now, please don't mess with me."

With that, under the Spider Monkey's shocked gaze, he slowly raised his right wrist.

There, he wore a strangely shaped, entirely green gauntlet.

Gwen was very familiar with this design; she had just seen it recently!

But why was it here?

The Ultimatrix, short for Ultimate Omnitrix, an invention by Azmuth, but because its core was incomplete, it had been stored away.

Later, it was stolen by his assistant Albedo, who perfected its core and energy system, and then added new functions.

It could evolve stored aliens into their so-called "Ultimate" forms. In their Ultimate forms, all aspects of an alien creature's abilities were greatly enhanced.

The principle of evolution was to allow the alien creature to evolve freely for about a million years in a simulated environment, placing it in the worst possible conditions.

And such a thing, like himself, should not appear in the DC Universe at all.

Is he looking for me?

While Gwen was lost in thought, the man's fingers quickly slid across the gauntlet, operating it, and a holographic projection shot out from the gauntlet.

The man's gaze rapidly scanned through it, seemingly searching for something.

Soon, he seemed to select a projection and slapped his palm onto it.

The next second, a blinding green light exploded, as if to swallow the entire space.

The Spider Monkey instinctively raised its hands to shield its eyes; as the light slightly diminished, the original man had vanished, replaced by a bizarre humanoid creature, standing steadily in place.

This creature wore strange black and green attire, with two long, braid-like appendages hanging from its head, their ends being two brass-colored metal plugs that swayed gently with its movements.

On its body, there were several brass-colored bolts, neatly arranged, as if they were decorations on its clothing.

And most striking was the long tail behind it, also ending in a plug-like object, and looking up, one could see the single green eye on its face, intently watching the Talon opposite it.

The entire creature resembled a lizard, an... Elec-Lizard.

And this alien hero, Gwen could not possibly not recognize.

After all, Elec-Lizard was Ben Tennyson's favorite hero in the main World, and among alien heroes, he possessed noble electrical resistance, agile movements, and offensive capabilities, which also made him a kind of six-form warrior.

The Elec-Lizard slowly raised its hand, its single eye fixed on the Talon. It extended its fingers towards the Talon; each finger had several brass-colored, gun-muzzle-like openings, gleaming with a cold, hard luster in the moonlight.

These openings aimed at the Talon, and in an instant, a thick bolt of lightning crackled from its fingertips, accompanied by dazzling White light and a piercing roar, rushing towards the Talon like a fierce beast.

The Talon, however, seemed to have anticipated it; her body erupted with astonishing reflexes, and she sharply dodged sideways, avoiding the lightning at an extremely tricky angle.

The lightning grazed her battle suit, leaving a scorched mark on the ground.

However, the Elec-Lizard did not stop there; its ten fingers trembled rapidly, as if playing a frantic symphony, continuously firing bolts of electricity.

In an instant, the entire battlefield was filled with blue electrical light, overwhelming the air with a pungent burnt smell.

Facing the rain-like onslaught of electricity, the Talon tried her best to dodge, but ultimately found it difficult to avoid all attacks.

She raised her longsword to block, but the metal longsword instantly became a conductor for the electricity, and a strong numbing sensation traveled up her arm. The Talon instinctively let go, and the longsword clanged to the ground.

The Elec-Lizard seized this opportunity, electricity surging from its feet, and it charged forward like a phantom.

It spun around with the momentum, its right foot, carrying whistling wind and electricity, fiercely kicked the Talon.

The immense impact sent the Talon flying backward, but after landing, she merely swayed slightly and once again assumed a fighting stance.

The Elec-Lizard, taking advantage of the opponent's regrouping, again surged with electricity from its feet, instantly closing the distance with the Talon like an arrow released from a bowstring.

The moment their faces were close, its ten fingers simultaneously erupted with dazzling electric arcs, and dense currents enveloped the Talon like a spiderweb.

The sizzling sound of electricity echoed all around, and the Talon's battle suit emitted wisps of smoke under the impact of the current; her body uncontrollably trembled violently.

However, even after such a strong electric shock, the Talon still stood up, her physical condition visibly recovering.

How much amber gold did this damn Court of Owls inject?!

Seeing this, a hint of ruthlessness flashed in the Elec-Lizard's single eye.

It had thought this blow would be enough to incapacitate the opponent, but the opponent could still fight.

"It seems you're no ordinary person, are you?"

The Elec-Lizard muttered to itself, but the Talon did not respond; she simply bent down, picked up the longsword from the ground, and charged at the Elec-Lizard again.
