Chapter 38 - [38]: Sticking

"Sajuna is still so happy."

As usual, Akira handed over the photos he had taken for Sajuna to look at.

This time, Sajuna wasn't shy at all. She looked at the photos of herself on the phone with satisfaction.

"Hmph. Aki-kun's expression is even more exaggerated than mine."

"Of course. I'm very happy and content," Akira replied without hesitation.

Sajuna set the photo as her wallpaper, then opened Line, found her own name, selected the photo file, and sent it.

She definitely wasn't trying to subtly check Aki-kun's social circle.

Sajuna hesitated about whether she should wear such an outfit. Looking at her and Akira's matching couple clothes, she felt conflicted.

Akira noticed her hesitation.

"Sajuna, just wear this outfit. After all, we always have to wear uniforms normally."

That was his reasoning.

"Okay."

Sajuna's cheeks reddened slightly. She felt like Aki-kun always took care of her, and even when they had already agreed on something together, he would bring it up first.

It made her feel like she wasn't a very competent girlfriend.

She made a small decision in her heart.

"Yes, I want to wear it. It's not because Aki-kun insisted," Sajuna stammered her explanation.

She wasn't the kind of fatally tsundere girl people imagined—she simply had few friends and was used to keeping her thoughts to herself.

When she saw something she liked, she couldn't just stand by and let someone else take it, could she?

After all, in Flower Princess!! Fire!, Shion didn't speak her mind, which was why Soma-brother ended up with his childhood male friend.

Why did the two sisters' beloved boys end up together?

Putting that aside, tsundere girls often seemed to lose in love.

Sajuna concluded that one couldn't watch anime without picking up some experience in romance!

"I also want to wear matching couple clothes with Sajuna," Akira said.

The waiter put their changed clothes into a paper bag, and Akira took Sajuna's hand as they walked out of the clothing store.

"Let's go home!" he declared, raising the bag.

"Let's go."

Sajuna gently pulled down Akira's raised arm, trying to take the clothes from him, but Akira refused.

"I'll carry it. It's not heavy at all."

There was no need to show off deliberately—both Akira and Sajuna understood that.

So whoever carried the clothes simply depended on convenience.

Sajuna didn't insist on asserting her "responsibility."

The two boarded the train, heading home together.

"Sajuna," Akira called.

He always felt that every time he called her name, Sajuna would lean a little closer to him, and it gave him a strange sense of security.

As if calling her name would make Sajuna appear right before him.

"Mm?"

"Come a little closer."

The two were already sitting very close, yet they moved even closer at Akira's request.

Sajuna felt that Akira was like a small winter heater, radiating a warm, masculine aura.

It made her dizzy. Even though they had hugged before, when she had leaned against his back she had felt his soft and steady warmth.

But facing his masculine presence head-on like this felt completely different.

She hugged Akira's arm tightly, wanting to press it into her body. She was being much bolder than she expected.

But after all, he was her first boyfriend in nineteen years—wasn't it fine to indulge him a little?

Thinking this, she gently rested her head on Akira's shoulder and slowly closed her eyes.

"Don't move."

Feeling Akira's hand making small movements within her embrace, feeling his palm brush her lower abdomen, Sajuna's cheeks instantly flushed red.

"Aki-kun… be normal."

She buried her face in his shoulder to hide her blush.

She felt like Aki-kun was becoming more and more perverted…

But a boyfriend wanting to be perverted with his girlfriend—wasn't that something to be proud of?

After all, it meant she had feminine charm, and that her body was cherished by Aki-kun.

Ignoring Sajuna's shyness, Akira gently touched her clothes, feeling the skin beneath the fabric.

He had to make Sajuna accustomed to his presence.

Just as Sajuna had said when blaming herself earlier:

"As a girlfriend, fainting during my boyfriend's kiss is just too unqualified…"

So whether it was to help Sajuna feel like a more qualified girlfriend, or to be able to kiss her naturally someday—

Akira felt he had a responsibility to help Sajuna adapt to him.

It wasn't just a simple desire to be perverted or to use lecherous hands; those were merely superficial phenomena.

One must always see the essence beneath the surface.

Akira praised his own foresight in his heart and continued his actions with even more confidence.

Of course, he wouldn't cross any lines.

He was a gentleman, after all.

When they got home, Sajuna didn't really greet Shinju. She covered her flushed cheeks and ran straight into her bedroom.

"Sister?!"

Shinju stared at her unusually flustered sister.

But then again, her sister had been quite unusual ever since she started dating. Maybe this would just become the new normal.

Shinju thought to herself.

"Sajuna is shy," Akira explained casually. Without picking up the books he had been reading earlier, he asked Shinju, "Shinju, do you have a computer?"

"Eh?! Akira-ge is going to work?" Shinju asked, not really paying attention, as she went to bring a laptop from her room.

It seemed most girls' computers were pink and decorated with cute stickers.

Akira inwardly complained, remembering a post he had seen.

"A junior asked me which laptop to buy. As her senior, I could only tell her: buy a pink one. And I recommended a store that sells cute stickers."

He shook his head and opened Shinju's laptop.

The desktop was clean with no games, so she probably only used it for browsing and watching videos.

Akira thought this as he opened the applications.

The light-novel fantasy brewing in his heart was about to become reality. The reading and writing experience he'd accumulated over half a month was finally about to shine.

Akira looked at his character panel.
