Author's pov
The dark night sky was fully out but devoid of any stars, deep in the forest a dark armoured van crushed the dry leaves as Ola and the gang drove towards the camp. Cobra was driving with Laden beside him while Ola and Agu sat at the back with an unconscious Aron.
"Hope he remembers everything soon" Agu said as he turned towards a sad Ola
"Me too, I'm more worried about what mon'itei is planning to do with him" she said biting her lips
They both kept quiet as the van crushed through the dark jungle, soon the trees cleared and the camp came into view. Mon'itei was already waiting with Luka and the rest of the clan, Cobra drove slowly into the camp and parked the van. He got out with Laden while Agu carried Aron out with Ola strolling behind.
The clan kept quiet as they watched Agu lower Aron to the ground, their were shocked expressions on their faces. Mon'itei came closer and took a good look at his lost son before returning the gaze to Cobra and his gang
"Where's the lady?" He asked
"Um she ran away, Aron saved her before we could capture her. We're so sorry great leader" Ola said bowing a little
"Yes, Aron was too much to handle" Cobra said
"He's one of my best, too bad he's going against us" Luka said
Mon'itei just looked down and glared at an unconscious Aron. He walked closer to him and placed his foot on his chest, Ola stiffened and came closer to stop him but Cobra pulled her back
"Don't get yourself in trouble" he whispered to her
"Aron is of no use to us anymore, he needs to die" mon'itei growled
"No please he didn't know what he was doing..." Ola cried
Mon'itei ignored her and turned towards Luka
"Wake him up"
Luka nodded, he bent down and slapped Aron three times making him to jump up.
"Huh huh" Aron panted as he stared at the strange faces surrounding him "what the hell is happening? Where am I?!"
The clan just kept quiet looking blankly at him
"Aron it's us, your clan" Ola said and rushed towards him "please remember us" she held his face
"Let go of me" he pushed her away "if you're planning to kill me, just get it over with and leave Aurora out of this"
Mon'itei was now getting really angry, he looked at Luka
"Help him regain his memory so I can finally get rid of him" he glared
Luka nodded. He grabbed Aron's face as he struggled to free himself and started chanting

Aron's Pov
The strange looking man grabbed my face as i struggled to free myself. My head was throbbing badly and I was feeling really dizzy
Where the hell am I?
Why does everything and everyone feel so familiar??
The strange man tightened his grip on my face and started chanting in strange tongues
"Ula, mi bi ula, tika uka, ibe! Ibe! Come back to us uni!..."
As the chant echoed through the place, my dizziness got worse and my vision blurred a bit. I groaned in pain and closed my eyes while trying to kick the man away. Two other men soon helped him by pinning me down
"Ahhh stop!!" I yelled as his voice echoes in my head, opening doors in my mind that I kept hidden
Faces started flashing in my mind
Then loud voices
Screams
Bombs
A baby crying
"Make it stop!!"
"Babe..." A fair face flashed across my mind giggling and smiling at me
"David!!!"
"Son your dad..." Another face flashed again
Gunshots
"....i want the governor alive" a masked face commanded
The voices and faces kept coming, including places i couldn't recognise. I screamed as I couldn't handle the memories rushing in
"Luka stop he's dying..." A female voice screamed
"Ola shut up, it's working" a deeper voice said
The images stopped coming and I saw myself standing on top of a sky scraper aiming a gun at someone, the face zoomed in. It was Aurora's dad and his guard, next thing I heard was a loud gunshot and everywhere blanked out.
"Huh huh huh" i held my head as my vision became clear and the images stopped coming "David...."
That was the only thing I could say. The chanting stopped and the men freed me from their hold
"Did it work?" The feminine voice said...Ola
I could remember everything now, i am Aron, son of mon'itei, leader of the purple clan resistance. I killed David, i tried to kill Aurora and her dad too, everything was becoming clear now. A wave of guilt washed over me and i just knelt where I was
"Aron...Aron?"
I looked up to see Ola standing over me, Agu and Cobra joined her. I just stared at them not knowing what to say or do
"Babe" she knelt down and hugged me "you remember everything right?"
"Ola" i whispered her name "I'm sorry"
"It's okay, what matters now is that you're back" she whispered back
"Enough of this nonsense" a hand yanked me up and made me to face him
"Mon'itei" i muttered
"You failed me!" He glared at me through his mask
I just kept quiet
"You don't deserve to live" he hissed
"Mon'itei no..." Ola rushed towards us but Cobra pulled her back
"He didn't know what he was doing" she protested
"A purple son never forgets... never. Loosing your memories just shows me how weak you really are. I'm ashamed to call you my blood" he threw me to the ground and brought out his gun
I just sat dear, i wasn't afraid neither was i angry. I felt numb and confused, Only one person was on my mind and i felt like dying was better. I betrayed the one person that actually cared about me
"Mon'itei please don't do this.." Ola begged
He ignored her
"Give me one reason i shouldn't kill him right now"
Everyone kept quiet
"No reason, just like i thought. Get ready to meet the purple deity son"
I closed my eyes, ready to end all these madness. I heard him cock the gun and got ready to feel the bullet but a voice yelled
"If you kill Aron now, you'll never know where Virus Alpha is!"
"What do you mean?"
I opened my eyes to see mon'itei dropping the gun
"Yes you heard me" Ola said and came closer to him "Aron is our only key to finding the virus and defeating the oracle"
"What do you mean?" Mon'itei asked confused
"I overheard the governor yelling at his daughter one night because she was investigating both the purple Lagoon and the oracle. She knows something we and the oracle don't and i believe she told Aron everything" she said confidentially
Damn
"Is this true?" My father looked at me
I just kept quiet
"Answer me! Is this true?!" He kicked me
"Yes!" I yelled in pain
"Wonderful" he smiled "seems like you still have some use to me"
Ola smiled at me while the clan just watched the drama
"Mon'itei if we keep Aron alive, we can use him as a spy to watch the governor's daughter. He's already close to her and I'm pretty sure he'll have no trouble getting the info outta her" Ola said
"That's a good idea" Luka said "she's right great leader"
"I agree with her" Agu and Laden chorused
"Not a bad idea, i like it. Aron count yourself lucky, you've done well" he smiled
"You'll go back to the governor's kid and act all cozy with her. Make sure you find out everything she knows"
I just kept quiet
"Understood?"
"I'm not doing it" i said before I could stop myself
The whole clan gasped
"I'm not doing it, so you better kill me now" i said boldly looking into his fierce eyes
"What did you just say?" He hissed with much venom in his voice
"Aron please.." Ola trailed off
"Just kill me, I'm tired of all this bloody nonsense!" I glared at him
"How dare you talk back to the great leader like that?!" Luka hit me
Mon'itei chuckled "I'm not really surprised, you take after your mother anyways. But i always have my way"
He smirked evily making me scared. He was definitely up to something, i looked around worriedly suddenly realising something
"Where the hell is my mother?!" I glared at everyone
"Don't worry, you'll see her soon. Cobra go get Nwauwa"
Cobra nodded and walked out. A few minutes later, he walked in dragging my mother. My heart broke as I saw the state my own mother was in, her face was covered with bloody bruises and chains were bound to her hands and feets. She looked like a HIV patient, when her eyes landed on me she smiled tearfully
"Mom!" I rushed towards her but Agu grabbed me from behind and pinned me down again
"Let go of me" i pushed him and landed a punch on his already disfigured face
"Easy son" mon'itei laughed and went closer to my mom
"Stay away from her you monster!" I hissed and staggered towards him
"You haven't seen a monster yet" he grabbed her face and squeezed it hard
"Ahhh" she yelled in pain
"Stop it" i rushed towards him but Cobra kicked me from behind, making me to fall again
He pinned me down with Ola helping him reluctantly. I struggled and watched as Mon'itei brought the gun to my mom's head
"Please don't..." I begged
"I'll forget that you're both my family and make sure you suffer if you dare defile me again" he hissed
"What you're doing is wrong, she's your fucking wife!!" I yelled angrily
"To hell with family. Now I'm going to ask you again, will you do it or should I put a bullet though your mom's head while you watch?" He smiled "and trust me, I'd definitely enjoy that"
This man was the pure definition of evil, no matter how much I wanted to rotect Aurora , i couldn't risk loosing the woman who came first in my life so i had no other choice
"I'll do it but on one condition" i gave up
"You're not one to make bargains right now" he smiled
"Just let my mom go, don't you dare hurt her or abuse her ever again unless I'll make sure you pay and I'll bring the government down here" i growled
He wasn't the only evil one here, I'm his son after all
He just stared at me then nodded "fine but I promise you I'll always get my way"
I kept quiet and breathed in relief as he dropped the gun and let go of her. Cobra and Ola released me, i rushed towards my mom and hugged her
"Aron i thought they killed you" she cried
"Shuuu, I'm here now momma" i kissed her head to calm her down "everything will be fine"
"Your mission starts on Friday, you'll go back to her and tell her everything we tell you to. Get closer to her, make her fall for you or something and get every info we need. Don't you dare fail me again" mon'itei said interrupting us
I turned to face him
"I won't fail you, just keep your end of the bargain. No harm comes to my mom and you get your dear weapon"
"Good" he smirked "Cobra take them inside and give them some food with new clothes"
"Okay great leader"
Cobra helped me and my mom up, we walked towards the hut
"It's good to have you back" he said when we got into the hut
"The feeling's not really mutual" i said blankly
"Look i was only doing my job...." He tried to explain
"I understand bro, no grudges. We're both puppets here"
He nodded and helped Mom lie down on the bed.
"I'll get some medicine from Luka" he said
"Alright"
With that he walked out of the room leaving me alone with my mom. I sat beside her on the bed and stroked her hair
"My gangster is back" she smiled weakly
"Shuu save your strength mother" i said worriedly
"If I die now, i would be happy that you finally stood up to your father" she said and coughed
"Please stop talking about death"
She ignored me and continued "something's different about you, your aura changed" she held my face
"I'm still the same, just recovering from my memory loss" i lied trying to get Aurora out of my head
"Is it the girl mon'itei was talking about?" She said sadly
"It's nothing. Please get some rest, I'm here now so nobody will hurt you again"
She finally kept quiet and soon fell asleep. I just sat there wondering if Aurora made it, did she go to the police? Was she safe?
"Ugh" i groaned in frustration as I rubbed my face
"Are you okay?"
I jumped as I heard a voice say, i looked up to see the intruder
"Oh it's you"
"Sorry I didn't mean to startle you" Ola smiled as she walked closer to me
"It's fine" i shrugged
She sat beside me and we both kept quiet
"She'll recover soon, mon'itei really dealt with her while you were away" she said covering mom with a blanket
"Why did you do that?" I suddenly asked ignoring her
"Huh?" She stared at me confused "do what?"
"Why did you stop mon'itei from killing me?" I looked angrily at her
"Excuse you, you're my boyfriend. Do you really think I was just going to stand there and watch him kill you?!" She fired
"I didn't ask you too" i whispered as mom moved in her sleep
"You didn't have to" she whispered back "i can't lose you"
I just kept mute
"Wait, is this because of that ugly skinny woman I saw you kissing??" She glared at me
I was shocked, she even witnessed the kiss
"It's not what you're thinking..."
"It's exactly what I'm thinking! I can't believe you'd actually kiss someone that isn't me" her voice sounded weak
"Ola..."
"Don't bother explaining. You're back now and your memories too, so I'll just assume that little kiss stunt was a mistake. You're mine alone and I'll make sure the governor goes down with his daughter" she said
I looked into her green eyes filled with nothing but hate
"Don't hurt her..."
"I need to go see mon'itei now so I'll tell him about the governor's arrest, get some rest" with that she stormed out of the room
