"Mr. Ash, congratulations on officially becoming a Pokémon doctor. May I ask if you have time now for an interview?"
As soon as Ash stepped out holding his Pokémon Physician Certification and medical license, the Viridian TV crew—who had been waiting in the lobby—quickly approached him.
"That's fine," Ash replied calmly. "Do you have any requirements for time or location?"
"Not at all," the young and capable-looking female reporter said hurriedly. "We'll follow your schedule completely. Anytime this afternoon works for us. As for the location, anywhere quiet and tidy will do."
After all, Ash wasn't just any ordinary trainer.
"The Light of Kanto."
"A future Indigo League Champion."
"A super genius."
"A six-year-old entrepreneur worth millions."
In recent months, countless media outlets had reported on him.
Yet—
For business collaborations, advertisements, interviews, and variety shows…
Ash had rejected them all without exception.
So when they heard that his skill shop was about to launch a clinic section, many media outlets had tried to secure an exclusive interview.
Viridian TV had only reached out with a "let's try our luck" mindset.
They never expected—
That Ash would actually agree.
And because of that, they were more than willing to accommodate him completely.
"I see… then how about the lounge area over there in the corner of the Pokémon Center lobby? If that works, we can start the interview right away."
Ash glanced around before pointing toward a quiet seating area.
"That works perfectly!"
"Alright, let's begin as soon as possible," Ash said.
He still had a lot to do—especially with the clinic launch—so naturally, he wanted to wrap up the interview quickly.
Ash took a seat in the lounge, holding Pikachu, with Greninja standing beside him.
Meanwhile, the TV crew moved swiftly—
Setting up the backdrop, adjusting lighting, testing audio equipment…
Knowing Ash was busy, they worked efficiently and completed everything in no time.
The reporter briefly showed him the list of questions, allowing him to mentally prepare.
Everything was ready.
The interview began.
"Hello, viewers. This is Today's Focus from Viridian TV. I'm your host, Mina."
"Today, we're honored to have a very familiar guest—known in the trainer world as the 'Light of Kanto,' a super genius, and a rising star trainer… Ash!"
"Hello, Ash. Welcome to our program."
"Hello, host Mina. And hello to everyone watching. I'm Ash."
Ash smiled, then gently nudged Pikachu in his arms.
"Pikachu, Greninja—say hi to everyone."
"Pika~chu! (≧▽≦)"
"Gua~ (•ᴗ•)"
The two Pokémon waved confidently at the camera.
Having been filmed countless times by Rotom, they were completely at ease in front of the lens.
"Thank you, Pikachu and Greninja."
"Recently, we've heard that you're planning to launch a clinic feature in your skill shop—Ash's Move Mastery Room—where you'll use your healing abilities to treat other trainers' Pokémon for free."
"Is this true?"
Mina smiled as she asked her first question.
"Yes, that's correct," Ash answered openly.
"I've indeed been planning to open a clinic in my shop, and I actually started preparing for this over a month ago."
"With approval from the Kanto League's medical department, and under the supervision of the Joy family, my healing abilities were thoroughly analyzed."
"The results showed that my healing power is effective against approximately 95% of currently known conditions."
"Beyond that, I've spent over a month undergoing professional theoretical and practical training at the Viridian City Pokémon Center."
"I've passed the theoretical examinations required for a Pokémon doctor, and in terms of practical experience, I progressed from being a basic assistant to serving as an attending physician in the emergency room."
"My skills and clinical experience are now sufficient for independent practice."
"Today, I've officially received my certification and medical license."
"And about twenty minutes before this interview, the clinic section of my skill shop was already launched."
"By the time this interview ends, it should be fully operational."
"So to answer your question…"
Ash smiled slightly at the camera.
"Yes—I not only planned to open a clinic…"
"It's already open."
"That's incredible," Mina said, clearly impressed.
"Your preparation and execution speed are truly remarkable."
"I've also heard that this is actually your third clinic. Could you tell us more about the first two? And what motivated you to start these clinics in the first place?"
Ash paused briefly, organizing his thoughts.
Then, he answered.
"Many people might not know this, but I haven't had my abilities for very long."
"Just over two months ago, right before I registered for Professor Oak's Pokémon Summer Camp, I accidentally fell into a river while fishing near Pallet Town."
"I was hospitalized for two days…"
"And after I returned home, I suddenly discovered that I had gained the ability to heal."
"That experience—being so close to death—made me truly understand the value of life."
"And the moment I recovered, I also deeply felt the joy of being alive."
"Life is precious."
"Whether it's human or Pokémon."
"And to me, this healing ability feels like a gift… a second chance given to me."
"My ability doesn't have offensive power."
"It doesn't directly help in training Pokémon either."
"But being able to heal injuries…"
"In my eyes, that's already something extraordinary."
"After gaining this ability, I kept thinking about how to use it in a meaningful way."
"Until one day, during the summer camp, I encountered an injured Bellsprout in the forest outside the camp."
"I treated it."
"And at that moment…"
"The idea of opening a clinic—to heal Pokémon—was born."
"And now…"
"The clinic in my skill shop…"
"Is the third one I've established."
