Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Purpose stood in a library going through them all. He had just turned 20 years old and loved to read.

A man with grayish hair who looked to be in his 70's walked up to Purpose.

"You seem to enjoy books a lot! Why you've gone through 20 in a span of 30 minutes."

Purpose gave the man a gentle smile

"Of course I love books, these books in particular teach knowledge and I love any knowledge that I can get my hands on."

The old man gave him a very strange look.

"You seem to be a little strange…why exactly do you value that so much? I don't think of books or knowledge really like that, isn't it just a simple part of life?

Purpose gave him a disproving look

"Do you not know just how good knowledge is? I have pinpointed my sights on it, I meditate on it, it is my pride, my love, my joy, it is my life at this moment. Because I am pursing it."

The man gave a very confused look and squinted his eyes a bit in slight awe and in slight amusement.

"Well aren't you an interesting person, giving an old man like me a monologue about something like that out of nowhere. At least you still seem to be pursing your goal, that is always good."

Purpose gave a very surprised look

"Y-you really think so? I'm a bit flattered that you understand, yes my goal is what I wish to strive for, and I truly do wish to accomplish it. I will never go back on it, if I do then I would not know what to do."

The man walked a bit close to him and raised his head

"Is that your whole reason? To gain knowledge? You speak of it's the only thing that matters."

Purpose gave an angry look, he wanted to punch this man in the face.

"Don't ever say that, I am the only one who knows what matters, and knowledge is just another part of my dream, my dream is something you cannot understand, no one can understand until it is truly accomplished because you won't truly know me, if I explain you will go about your day, to grasp the full picture of my ideal dream, once it happens, the entire universe will be clear and a simple picture to you. I assure you this."

Purpose closed the book he had in his hand and put it back in the shelf

"I do not wish to speak to you anymore, I shall leave this place now"

He walked away from the now jaw dropped old man who looked at him like he was a serial killer.

Purpose left the library he was in and stepped outside to sand blowing around. It was always like this, he was on the back of the giant Zehaza who had been walking in this desert for about 400 years, he walked endlessly in some hope that he would reach his destination, but he was walking in loops so he didn't have one. The kingdom was the same name as the giant that walked around and the architecture itself was all made of clay and rocks, it was made like an ancient civilization and it was not one of the four great kingdoms but was the most popular place to tour (besides Tameria) due to it's unique nature. The giant would groan every day and would rest every year. That was the only time that people could get off the rock so everyone always had to tour on the week that he rested.

Purpose walked around without any extra clothing for the weather and examined all of the buildings.

"This is a fascinating place, I could maybe even live here for a year, that is if I were to sacrifice my goal that is."

He chuckled and rested his hand on one of the clay buildings side.

"I seem to love hearing my voice, I wonder why?"

He chuckled once again, because he was aware of his self centered nature.

"But that is no matter, my goal is set in stone, I will complete it, I have no more time to stay here. I better leave before I become like the breath people are without me."
